I hate "facts", especially when someone has to stress they are "facts" instead of conclusions based on their experience. Don't get worked up.

Many apartments have tighter entry security than some hotels. Some hotels you're able to bypass security with a girl. Each person should consider the level of security which they feel is necessary. There are advantages to both apartments and hotels, depending on each person's situation.

Any girl is a potential risk. The biggest risk appears to be Tinder, but it's a bad idea to assume a girl is safe because of where you found her. Your focus should be on not providing the opportunity to anyone. It also means not letting everyone know you're a good target. The same advice that's been offered for years still works.

1. Don't advertise your wealth.

2. Don't get wasted.

3. Watch your drink at all times.

Agree with this 100%. I was scoped back in mid November, many of you saw my report at that time.

Backstory.

I like to mix my Medellin trips up with a mix of pros, semi-pros, and non-pros. For the semi-pros I was using Bumble which in my prior experience had Paisas which were looking for more of a normal relationship as opposed to straight P4 P (as is the case with Tinder). It had worked for meeting girls with normal girls in the past, often with free sex and deeper relationships / friendships after 2-3 dates. Anyway, this particular time was scoped at the end of the second date with the girl in my apartment. We never once discussed payment and I didn't even sleep with her. I was making her dinner and she scoped my drink when I stepped out on the balcony to get steaks off of the grill. I was unconscious for 45+ hours and she cleaned me out of 5 k worth of stuff plus passport, credit cards, phone, etc... charged a ton of stuff over the 2 days I was out. Whether it was solopamine or horse tranquilizer I have no idea, but I was down in 10-15 seconds. It was the same week that the kid from California was scoped and killed by the girl he met on Tinder.

Anyway. Abide by all of JBee's rules, even for the regular ones until you get to know them better. There are several stories of guys knowing girls for weeks and even months before getting scoped. You may have the girls whatsapp and FB, but that's it. She can easily drug you, take your stuff, and disappear.

I have no idea how many board members there are, but I think there's a counter along the bottom (or top).

I've been on this board off and on for almost 20 years, and I'm only mid 40's. I was on Argentina Private back in the day with Jackson and even met him a couple times. But I digress. Over the years I've probably met 80-100 guys in person that I've connected with through here and another 150-250 mongers that I've met on location through friends, at casas, or out on the town (many are unaware of ISG). I stay close with 20-25 of them that I've found to be most honest, trustworthy, and laid back. I've met guys that were 25 year old virgins and guys that were 85 with 20 year old girlfriends. Everything from police and army rangers to doctors, start up founders, and former pro ball players as well. We're an interesting cross section of society, with the only common characteristic that I can discern being an uncommonly high sex drive.

Yup. I don't seek out all nighters, but I've had that happen a fair amount over the years. Arrange short-time, get along well, and the chica decides to stay the night with no additional payment.

Absolutely no reason to make a deal for all night if you haven't already sampled the girl short time. If you have a good time you can usually extend, frequently for no more pesos. And if she’s not good, you want to be able to get her to leave and you’ll feel like an idiot if you agreed to take her all night.

I would not feel comfortable offering a lot of money ($500,000) for an overnight with a girl that I didn't know. I would recommend a first date dinner, back to your place 2-3 hours $300,000. At this price most girls won't think your cheap unless she is a 9 in which case expect to pay a little more. If everything works out well you can see her as much or less as you please. Keep your options open and don't tie yourself down (unless the chica is doing it and your into that stuff). Although this could be an embarrasing way to get robbed LOL.

How much would you offer? 800 k? 700 k?

I don't want to be cheap and annoy her however I also don't want to drastically overpay. It may even sound suspicious "For so much money, what does he want to do with me?

I found her on Facebook. Just luck of the draw in terms of who I friended and who friended me and who I was chatting with. She peaked my interest when she told me she lived in Laureles and was studying law. I always like to ask what barrios they are from and their jobs / studies.

1) Retired 60+ gringos w / pension or steady retirement income (live in country, or take longer trips, basic Spanish, often stick to 1-3 'regulars'.

2) 30-45 year olds that are still working (do 5-10 day trips, often divorced, conversational Spanish fluency, split of guys who travel solo and those that travel in groups on guy trips, try to fit in as many girls as possible. Used to go to Brazil, Costa Rica, or DR).

3) < 30 year olds that are digital nomads (live in country due to low COL, building a business or side hustle, often fully fluent or have parents that were native, trying to get local girlfriend but enjoy the P4 P opportunities).

Outside of those buckets I meet the occasional one-offs that are married to a Colombian or are ex-military, retired early, and exploring.

So why not learn Spanish? When I was interested to have proper conversations with people in various countries, I learned their languages.

I included the story about the 21-year-old law student girl I met who was dating a 50-year-old gringo because those sorts of age gaps in dating aren't that uncommon either. Speaking the language will help a lot, though I've had a couple of nonpros who were ready to play the translator game with me before they knew I spoke Spanish. My point is you'd be surprised at what is possible in Medellin and you might be holding yourself back. I'm still modifying my approach as I come back and learn more.

I think the fact that you are fluent Spanish speaking and are dating age appropriate women puts you in a different category than 90% of the Americans visiting Medellin.

Tostao disappeared not long before the latest barrier project. Since then, a new 5,000 peso store that sells Chinese made plastic goods took over one of the storefronts across from Premium Plaza. The official word from City Hall is the barrier is supposed to be in place 45 days or more. I think that leaves about three weeks until the end of the 45 day period. Personally I don't see why this one will be any more sustainable than the previous iterations. This week I noticed some of the regulars inside the barrier but dressed in civilian clothing. I assume that is a ploy to gain admission and ply their trade as before. A girl I know who used to work the sculptures complained to me that there are "a lot of women" concentrated along the glass walkway side of the church and behind it. The concentration of cart vendors beneath the metro viaduct and in areas outside the barrier is overwhelming. They and their bluetooth public address systems should never have been allowed in the plaza in my opinion. I agree the low end fast food joints and the short time hotels inside the barrier have to be hurting.

It will be interesting to see how long the barricading of ground zero will be in effect for since initiated. Almost a ghost town albeit a few scattered walkers inside the barricaded areas with everyone on the other side of the barricades and the glass covered walkway area is very crowded.

Kind of surreal walking inside of the barricaded area and not seeing walkers all over the place and the business's inside are getting hammered with hardly any foot traffic passing thru. And although getting access into the area thru the manned police entrances may entail being searched, you can enter the area thru the complex adjacent to the Metro without being searched. And business at the short time hotels like Premium Plaza has to be way down along with all the eateries having way less customers..
