Posts: 718When I first started going to Tijuana in my 20's I did meet an 18-19 year old latina at Adelitas who told me she lived in the San Diego area but crosses the border a few times a week to work at Adelitas. She spoke perfect English with a perfect American accent so I believed her but wasn't too interested in her so never got into the details of why she'd come over from the USA To work in a place like that (though I guess the answer to that would be $$$ LOL).

Parked on the curbside on east San Ysidro Blvd. Completely on the public street visible to everyone so not in an isolated area. Fuckers ssmashed the window and then severely scratched up the interior of the door with whatever sharp object they were using and obviously stole everything from inside. San Ysidro full of low lifes and degenerates.

Posts: 3347You don't know a lot about how things work. Most Latin American countries have reciprocal agreements where the citizens can travel between countries with only a passport, no visa required. So, any Colombiana can hop on an airplane any time she wants and fly to Mexico. This does NOT mean that she has permission to work. The law expressly forbids the non-citizen from working. And Mexico doesn't just hand out working papers because one asks. Using a friend's card is theoretically possible, as long as you have a Mexican friend who looks just like you and happens to be unemployed. Two people using the same ID card for work will flag something in the system.

It may also surprise you to know that every time a passport is used it's logged into the system. Time, date, which port of entry, etc. Sure, somebody could use a friend's passport. A couple of times, maybe. But I suspect the CBP has thought of this already. Odd usage patterns will get flagged. One time I crossed at SY, after only crossing at Otay for a year, or so. The agent noted and wondered why I was crossing there instead of Otay. Gaming the system isn't as easy as you think.

The girls don't get fake papers to work in the bars. Many bars in Mexico like to have foreign girls because that's what the clients want. I actually thought that with the increase in migrants in the city that would spill over to the bars but I never noticed it and the foreign girls that came either just move around Mexico or I never saw them again. For girls trying to get to the US for asylum they traveled to Juarez because it was easier to cross into El Paso. Now they work for more money in the US. I never heard of Mexico granting asylum but I do know of cases of girls paying guys to marry them so they could get to be Mexican citizens.

Well it use to be more common to use another persons Visa, a passport is harder since you would have to speak good English when crossing. Also technology is getting better to verify those that cross. Remember that the officer will often ask "where are you going" just to make sure the city you say is the same as the information they have on the screen.
In the Sentri lane for cars they have installed cameras that can look at driver and passenger. I just noticed them on my last visit so I don't know if it's just Sentri or all lanes that have them. Last August the new head of the border said that with new technology such as facial recognition will help to speed up the wait at the border.

Great update and information. I hate to pay a cover also when I'm not sure if it's worth it. I remember the strip club I liked on Revolution trying to get a cover but I'd usually ask if I could take a walk in first to look around, if they said no I would walk away and usually they called me back. Not sure if you drove or took a cab but some places will pay the taxi a commission to bring clients to the club so if you came by cab they might of been stricter on the cover.

Posts: 1490Anyone can use anyone's ID for the most part. The girls who are from other countries likely have working papers which are given if your either waiting on USA asylum, in some cases. Or waiting for Mexico asylum / citizenship. If any bar could hire just anyone all the bars would be full of LOS Angeles and San Diego strippers who are tired of working hard for less pay than the Mexicans earn in Hong Kong. Just take the USA border. I'm sure many people borrow others passports to walk into USA. You just need the same height and hair color eye color skin shade. The photo they take is a new thing. I don't know if they photo anyone going in by car, plus you can refuse the photo at the border. Before sentri I always told them I refuse the photo.

Posts: 1490Was it a paid lot? What was visible in the car? I park at the trolley station 200 nights without any problems. The 1 day iblarked downtown little Italy 🇮127481; they busted my windows in 1 hour because a spotter saw me put a backpack in the trunk. I had no idea theft was so bad that you literally can't put something in your trunk unless your gona drive away. You gota make sure to have window coverage on your car in California theres nobodybin jail in San Diego for breaking into cars but it happens 100 times a day.

Posts: 3347I don't see why age verification would be a problem. It's illegal to employ anybody except a Mexican national, or somebody with the proper visa. All adult Mexicans must have a voter ID card showing name, DOB, etc. The girl walks in and ask for a job. The boss says sure, let me see some ID. The Mexican has it, age is easily verified. The Colombiana, visiting on a tourist visa, can't produce a Mexican ID card, and can't get a job.

Posts: 2767Where were you parked. ? My car was broken into on Front st. This the dead end st where the Goodwill store is. There was a lot of homeless in that area. There was a lot of homeless living by the freeway. This one reason why I take the Trolley from downtown. The Trolley is fast & cheap. Only takes 30 minutes and cheap. Do not have to deal with traffic on I-5. Sometimes the Trolley gets crowded around rush hour however. My only big complaint is the trolley needs longer hours. The other issue is that the last trolley to Old Town leaves at 11:45 pm.

Posts: 266Deja Vu is still alive and kicking. It would be convenient since it is next to Caliente Casino and swingers club, but they make you pay $5 cover and the place is usually dead. I always get screwed as I pay the $5 cover and then only see 5-10 chicas and then head to Zona Norte. At least they sell food and it is halfway decent. As far as women, not too many. They do occasionally bring USA Porn stars, but never been when they hosted. Not sure how a USA Porn star would do for performance other than if they were shooting a live sex scene. They do have a billiards table, but it should be 10 times better with more chicas. I think the chica numbers are dwindling due to social media and other ways to monetize their bodies. I'm sure they would rather reduce their exposure and keep themselves UTR than possibly be seen by someone from their hometown.

Posts: 2431I think it is more difficult to verify age for non-Mexicans. So I can see how Adelitas gets put under a microscope when the employ non-Mexicans whose papers may or may not be legitimate. I am not strictly talking about age, but actual identity. I hope they payoff the right people so that they can be back in business soon.
