Is this place the same as Chanes 57? If so then I went there once and it was not for me. Wasn't taken by the talent. Friendly but not what I was looking for.

Posts: 143557 Friends is a clinica until 9 PM (last time I checked), with typical clinica pricing and you pay reception the fee. Usually dead in the afternoon. After 9 PM, it becomes a boate and you negotiate directly with the girl her fee and pay reception the room fee. Used to be a lot livelier. Seems to be dying lately.

Oops, I meant to write "the bar does not skimp on the booze in their mixed drinks". It is always a very healthy pour. The girls truned me on to Bomboa's Gin Tropical. Its very tasty.

Posts: 1366I have only been to 57 Friends one time so in all fairness to the bordello I have not made up my mind about this place yet. It was around 3 pm when I went there and the place seemed more like a clinica than a boate. There were around 10 girls hanging out in 2 large bar rooms bars. Not many customers. Girl quality was more or less what you would expect in a Moema clinica. I went upstairs with a friendly Morena with a smoking hot all-natural body and had a pretty good time which is why I am holding off my final opinion of the place until I have a chance to go there at night and see if the place takes on a more boate like feel.

What about 57 Friends Club. I guess it's a lower brow vibe, but so convenient to my hotel. Any thoughts on that? Also why is Cafe Photo so low ranked. I thought it was quite high end — but maybe past it's prime?

P.S. For SIM card guy I second that Google FI rocks. Phone works all over the world and you don't have to do zip. Well worth not hassling for SIMs as I am usually only in town a couple days.

The key is you need help to get to that English speaking agent on your cell with your new number. The first time, my Airbnb host did it. Later I did it myself with help. You can bring your phone with SIM to any TIM store and ask them to register for you or help you get to the English speaking agent. You need your passport number and maybe the address of the place you are staying. You can even get the store to help you get to the English speaking agent if the store is not too busy.

Posts: 2866TIM will sell you a SIM card + data package based on you passport. I got a SIM twice at the "loja TIM" at Shopping Iguatemi, but you may want first to try out the TIM shop nearest to where you stay.

Posts: 1366I think you will like Bomboa. The scene there is very different than Scandallo. It is more like a neighborhood boate where everybody knows your name. KKK. The all consumable entry fee is around 250 BR or a little more. Rooms are 250 BR and the rooms are very nice. Bomboa girls ask anywhere from 500 BR to 1000 BR, but I have never given them more than 800 BR. If a girl that I am interested in asks for 500 BR or 600 BR, I just agree to her offer. And the 1000 BR or 900 BR girls have always immediately accepted my counteroffer of 700 or 800. There are usually 30 to 50 girls available at around 10 pm on a Wed, Thurs. Or Friday night. Live music every night. The bar does skimp on the booze in their mixed drinks and they have a pretty decent restaurant. It is my 2nd favorite boate in SP.

But I highly recommend Casarao as well. The scene at Casarao very, very different from that at either Scandallo or Bomboa and there are a ton of girls available (wall to wall) at around midnight and later. I can easily see why some guys rate this place numero uno. Hey, I love this place too. KKK. Prices have been mentioned recently by another BM, so no point my repeating them, but it is significantly cheaper here than at Scandallo or Bomboa. Casarao girls ask between 350 BR and 500 BR. Rooms are located in another building next door. The rooms are scuzzy. KKK. Let's just say I have elected to never showered there and neither have any of my Casarao girls. That is why, unless I am totally slumming it for one reason or another and my girl's appearance is too wayward, ha ha ha, I prefer to take my Casarao girls back to my hotel.
I am a little surprised you did not like Bahamas, however. To me Bahamas is like a fancy RJ Terma. Not that many girls, but I can usually find a nice one. I like the decor too. But what got me hooked on the place was when one of my Scandallo girls started working there. She invited me over one night to take a look and I kind of dug the place, although I ended up taking her back to my hotel that night so we could have more time together.
Anyway, I think having a good time is all about mixing things up so one never gets bored. Scandallo one or two nights a week, and then ditto for Bomboa and Casarao. Of course, I also have my ever-growing list of favorite repeat girls whom I love seeing. They can easily take up half the nights in my week or the entire week if I let them. This is why I love SP. It is the City of Women and I never get bored here.
P.S. I will take your word for it and check out Brooklin Club on my next visit.

I appreciate the ranking on boates, thanks. I've done Scandallo and a tiny place called Brooklin Club that I liked, and Bahamas and Cafe Photo that I hated, but other than that haven't really branched out much. I had Casarao on my radar for this trip, but I'll be heading to Bomboa first based on your list. Do you happen to know the going rates there?

On an unrelated note does anyone have any suggestions for a phone sim card without a CPF, or should I just bite the bullet and get one? I am hesitant to venture too far out of my comfort zone until I have a sim for my backup phone.

Posts: 569Yup. The last time I was in SP, the lobby bar was full. The girls were sitting across the bar in that little area with sofas next to the check in area. I noticed two as both smiled at me and were both a bit on the older side. I don't hang out at the lobby bar. So many other places to go check out.

Posts: 115I've been to Cafe Photo two separate times in the last 2 years (incl 6 mo ago) and both times it was a busy. The entrance fee is similar to that of Scandallo except there's very, very few girls inside.
It's too bad because the place itself looks super nice and luxurious but I wouldn't recommend spending money to go there, better places for that in SP (including the aforementioned Scandallo).
