I am going to Cuba since 1989, so I know what a monger paradise was. Yep I certainly agree with that. In my opinion, the YouTube travel content creators have played a large role in creating an explosion of travel overseas for the hobby and due to oversaturation, the prime destinations of yesteryear no longer have the appeal they once had. Do not pay those crazy prices being quoted online and on tinder. Going price is still 25-30 k for a quickie. I'm planning a trip to Lagos and as I usually do before a trip, I went on Tinder in Lagos to see if I could obtain a few contacts before the trip. I've traveled to a few other countries in Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and Senegal) as well as Colombia and Brazil and generally the price quotes on Tinder correspond with the rates on the ground (clubs, bars, etc). So, was just a bit puzzled by the sharp differences in prices. Anyway, I'm relieved prices are much lower once in county.

On a side note, if the abundant quality online is any indication of what you see there in the clubs and bars then I'm very excited to travel there. I'm surprised Lagos has not become more of a hotspot despite the annoying visa application process. But maybe that's a good thing in a way.

I haven't been recently but I have friend on ground at the moment in Lagos. Prices have creeped up a bit because of the depreciation of the local currency ($1 USD to 715 Naira) which is much lower than the 1 USD-450 Naira official rate, so keep that in mind.
