Yes. And many a monger have fallen for this even after the hour or two is over. Brooklyn's Finest is the movie that portrays this best. New York cop (played by who else but Richard Gere) had been seeing a hooker for many years. He falls madly in love with her. He decides to retire and at this moment he asks her to marry him and move away. She gives him a wake up call and says mf I am a hooker, not your damn girlfriend.
