Hi, I would like to visit General Santos in a few months. Has anyone been there and can you tell me anything?

I'm not looking for bars or discos, I'm just looking to rest in a nice rented apartment with some pretty regular girls that I'll get to know on social networks and get some GF experiences.

I would like to ask 2 questions:

Is GenSan a bit dangerous like in past years?

Is it easy to fuck some regular girl or is it more complicated than other Filipino places like Davao?

Just returned from P. I. Spent 4 nights in GenSan. If this is your first time, I recommend the Greenleaf Hotel. 5 star. A little expensive, but walk across the street and you are in SM mall. Plenty of "fine dining" mall food, shopping, movies, etc. Get with a local girl and take a trike to Robinson's, which has a hotel, the Summit, across the street from the store, and KCC mall, which is the locals favorite. Book the Greenleaf online, or call them to make reservations. Lorraine works the check-in and is very friendly. They have a good breakfast w / most rooms, a pool, and inhouse massage and a few exercise machines. Just check the website.

Gensan is not a dangerous place, and I've been to a lot of the provinces outside of there including Glan, and way up in the mountains around Lake Sebu. Locals, like your girlfriend tend to exaggerator danger all over the Philippines I've noticed. In Davao they'll tell you don't go down to the Boulevard because it's too dangerous. But I think there's more petty crime like theft. I remember getting something stolen but I don't remember what it was. And you'll see the tricycles parked overnight are inside bamboo cages. That's the only place I've seen that.

You're right about the malls, they are clustered in one small area, and that's the center of the universe. But I think there's around five altogether, maybe six.

You don't really see swarms of hot girls but there are some scattered around. You'll get allot more looks from them than you will in Davao. People are super friendly, you still get a lot of hey Joe. There is an occasional foreigner but not many. That being said, hence the food sucks. What restaurants?

And that also means there aren't apartments and condos like you see in Davao. You're not going to see Avida Towers, Magallanes Residence and places like that. It's pretty much a Filipino city for Filipinos. But it's a good place imo, and yes, you can get in the water. It's not a stunning white sand beach, but there's sand and you can get wet. Better than Davao beach anyway. Oh yeah, and it's generally warmer if you like that. It can get hot.

I am in Sabang, met some pimp boys and the lowest price offered is 2500 pesos. I told him, I am paying 2500 pesos in Dubai for nice looking pinays for 1 hours 2 shot and I and used to get availability report every weekend. Then why should I pay same in the Philippines?

Is it really that cheap in Dubai? I always had the impression Dubai was expensive for everything.

Sabang went off my Phil list pre COVID. Prices are ridiculous and competing with one week Korean millionairres is a contest you are not going to win.

Re location everywhere is close. Meaning less than 5 min walk anywhere. Montani is good for accom & Jack Daniels for food. Esp ribs. To die fo, worth the walk up the short hill. .

Big Apple. Yeah a dump but straegically located and food is passable.

Best bar. CoCo Lips.

Also bit of a hassle getting there.

Agree with Gof- book room for 2 days hunt around- also walk in rates prob cheaper.

Did you stay in the area, Carlos Danger, or in downtown Bacolod. It appears that Goldenfield is about 3 km from downtown. Is it relatively easy to move from Goldenfield to downtown hotels or would you recommend staying in Goldenfield?

Sorry for the delay in answering, haven't been there yet but planning a trip there this year. Wanted to get some info to make things easier and not waste time trying to figure stuff out once there.

I always stayed at the nice hotel across from the Plaza park. Can't recall the name now. Its close to the Catholic church. Has a free western breakfast that's tasty. Not the cheapest hotel in gen san upscale and clean and worth it.

Sorry, I don't need a hotel. I never book a hotel. I need to know a good area near a Supermarket. Close to Plaza park is there a Supermarket?

I had a g / f there in Gen san for a few years so I went there often, The Plaza is nice for walking and Tuna Park is ok as well. Swimming is nice at Gen San View and there is a nice beach in Sarangani.

This is my first trip to the PI and believe me I was nearly scared away by all the talk of the Koreans. I guess time will tell.

Don't worry about the Koreans too much. The girls that chase them are often the top of the top looks-wise but they are truely damaged goods after being consistently over paid for poor performance. You don't want them any way and there are plenty of others to choose from.

The one thing Sabang is famous for is that the Korean guys will arrive and literally empty out a bar 5 minutes after opening. Go early and if you see someone you like, don't procrastinate or she will be gone later. It's perfectly ok to pay a barfine, say that you will pick her up later and continue the bar crawl.

I took the advice and booked Montani Resort for the first two nights. Then we'll see.

This is my first trip to the PI and believe me I was nearly scared away by all the talk of the Koreans. I guess time will tell. I'm hoping that after ten days in AC and Manila I'll be ready to wind down a bit in Sabang anyway. But again, we shall see.

I have booked my flights and am now booking hotels (Penthouse in Angeles City and Garden City in Makati so far). Sabang is proving a bit of a challenge, I want casual but clean, near the beach and the "action". Price isn't a big deal, anything under $100 a night is okay (if nice) but I'm really not looking for fancy and don't mind saving money.
On the surface Big Apple Dive Resort looks great but reports both here and other places suggest that the management's been going down hill for a number of years now. And one report mentioned that there are no safes and he had $400 stolen (he assumed by housekeeping). That's a no go for me. Papa Fred's looks interesting, but they're sold out on the big sites and when I went to their website (from the link on their Facebook page) it installed Malware on my computer. BEWARE. Capt'and Greg's? Good reviews, a bit shabby looking, but I like the location. Only thing is they don't seem to have a pool and I'd really like a pool. Atlantis Dive Resort looks nice but too family oriented for a punter like me. Montani Resort looks like a possibility. Too far? Girl friendly?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I will write reports after my trip. Promise.
