No, it is not necessary to fly to Washington. If you are resident in Kenya, that means you have a residence permit, you can apply directly in Kenya and be interviewed there.

Its my understanding that a visitor needing a visa must interview at the embassy in their home country. That would require me to return to USA then travel to Washington, DC to interview at the Nigerian embassy. Since I'm in Kenya, I want to interview in Nairobi if possible. If you know some priests, say and prove that you are into Bible and christianity.

Tray to understand if they covertly like a bribe and make them understand that you are game.

Are you expecting a lonely oyinbo to roam streets of Lagos and look for WG's? I don't want to be mugged and / or kidnapped. Had no problem with this in Ghana, but Lagos has a bad name and walking alone even during the day is not recommended.

Therefore I'd rather pay little bit more for the comfort. I don't expect to rack up hundreds of dollars for taxi. So if you don't have an answer for my question I don't appreciate this kind of bickering.
