Amazake, I'm curious about the time of day for your longshan escapades. Reading your very descriptive posts has me generally imagining an afternoon, early evening time frame even though I think this is never explicitly stated. So just wondering if there are perhaps better or worse times of day, and in particular wondering if there is a cut off time at night where it's either starts to look too sketchy and / or the majority of talent has closed up shop. Thanks.

I was in the Longshan area this week around 7:00 to 8:00 PM and it was loaded, but more in the Xichang and Diamond Building, Kangding areas and many pleasant new faces. They were more foreigners, as the locals were observing the significant ancestral holidays.

The weather is getting warmer and the ladies will be in full bloom.

But, I have gone to the Kangding area noontime or whenever I had time, and I did fine. Evenings are livelier, but come summer, I would expect variety at almost anytime. But, since I use public transportation, I never observed the area after 10:00 or 11:00 PM. But, I did notice that towards the latter evening hours, it definitely dwindles.

Huaxi, of course is mostly older women. But, I have been with 20's girls in the area around lunchtime. As was discussed, there is an elevatored building at Guangzhou and Huaxi with tea rooms on many floors, and I have seen well-dressed young hostesses on those floors. They were doing parties and singing with the old gents getting hammered on booze and wailing out traditional ballads.

1 is local coffee. It is decent.

2 is starbucks and it's worth a visit because it's in a historical building, and they have special offeriing.

3 is diamond building.

4 is a great Taiwanese street food. If you like Taiwanese food, you will like this place.

There are many others in the same area that worth exploring. The local food is this area is incredible, you can't find the same quality or variety anywhere else in Taiwan. I think it is going thru a renaissance from this area going further north.

Lest I continuously ask question without ever providing any reports, I'll go ahead and throw these out there even though I assume it is of little interest to anyone here.

Through my friends I have been connected with handlers at three KTVs in town. They are presumably on the more reputable side and perhaps slightly above average in terms of cost and quality. The first company charges NT $10 k to send a girl to you to hangout with you for 3 hours, $20 k for 8 hours, and an extra $10 k for FS. The other two companies both charge $13 k for the first 3 hours and the rest is the same. You can reserve a specific girl for 8 hours, the 3 hour bookings cannot be reserved ahead of time and you'll get whoever is available at the time. Some degree of YMMV occurs depending on whether the FS can be paid for on a 3 hour outcall slot or not. Also, the FS option must be stated upfront. All companies have various girls who will and will not do this, particularly with a complete stranger.

I've managed to finagle a decent number of photos of some of the girls from all three handlers. My friends say pictures aren't always easy to get. They do frequently invite us to come visit the shop and see in person, but thus far I've kept an arm's length in these transactions. So far I've ended up hiring girls from only one company (the $13 k company), on two separate occasions, for the full 8 hours + FS. I think I'm establishing a rapport with this handler and she's gotten some insight into my likes / dislikes. She also sends me the most photos now. They also suggest girls based on the planned itinerary.

Payment is made either via bank transfer (I do not do this) or directly depositing into the account via ATM. It must be made in full a day ahead of time. If you pay for the FS and then do not partake, it will be refunded or held as future credit (ie, it's never a requirement to follow through with the finale if you decide not to) Given my friends' long standing relationships, I've not been worried about making these payments up front.

Thus far I've met with a Xiang Xiang who had an absolutely killer body but a mediocre face. She was very pleasant to be with but nothing more. The photos I received of her were a bit nicer than IRL. The other girl I met was Sharon. She is a tiny spinner who was an incredible date and very fun. Not as great of a body but cute face. I almost felt like we were starting a relationship. Butterflies. Lots of excitement throughout the evening finished with an amazingly attentive nightcap. Every meeting has been very smooth. Little work or real concerns on my end for safety or discretion.

These two meetings in Taiwan were the first times I've ever done anything beyond a quick meetup in a bedroom / massage room, and I must say that after Sharon I can for the first time kinda see why it could be enjoyable and even perhaps worthwhile to have a full 8 hour date. The spark and excitement was something I've not felt in a long time.

Ok that said, my wallet will be happy if I go back to the far more economical version of mongering. Still working up the courage to have that kind of outing.

Had big plans before the Easter Holiday.

I always abstain on that weekend for religious purposes.

Had plans to go to Taoyuan and Keelung but the plans fell through.

Ended up at the old default, Longshan Temple.

Did some searching, and feeling a bit out of sorts. So, decided to abort mission and eat something.

I suddenly realized that I was a bit out of sorts because I ate very little the whole day, a couple of bananas and some bread, maybe dehydrated. (what kind of an idiot forgets to drink enough when water and drinks are so plentiful? That idiot would be me!

Had some rice, soup and some vegetables on Kangding (about only $50 NT) and felt refreshed.

Reconsidered, in light of the renewed burst of energy and resurgence, to continue with my original mission. But, still wanted to go easy and cheap.

Walked the park and tea house stroll, and saw some exciting long legs in shorts on Guangzhou and Huaxi. Lovely legs. Had to have them.

I then realized that I knew her. In the past, I enlisted her many times. She used to rush me, so I told her back then that we were done, finished, divorced, arrivederci, sayonara, zaijian.

But, when I would see her over the years, she used to beg for forgiveness and always pleaded to be reinstated, and not be on my naughty list. (naughty, as in selfish-naughty, because we all like naughty-naughty girls).

I would just smile, shake my head and maybe buy her a snack.

(Incidentally, this is a different girl from the one who used to try her best to clean out my wallet when I was a newbie to the area. Aside from friendly bantering, that one knows she has no chance, unless she pays me back from extreme overcharges, plus interest. She is satisfied that I joke with her and give her a small donation).

But, I was sort of down on my luck tonight, so when I realized it was her looking so good in those shorts and she promised to be nice, and I stared her down and she was read the riot act. I really gave her the last chance and don't blow it speech. She got it!

Anyway, usual tearoom fare. Pay 100 NT for tea and 1000 NT covered the full service.

She is lively, spirited and very passionate, powerful legs and hips. She's one of the few that really overpowers me. She is no wall flower. Once she lets loose, there is no holding her back. I can only watch in awe at her feminine strength. She sounds like she is giving birth. Literally like riding a bull in the rodeo.

Anyway. Her energy was just what I needed. We embraced as old reunited friends do. It was mutually satisfying. Said our good byes with nothing but smiles and good will.

I forgot to mention that I passed by a one-timer I had last year who offered me a discounted HJ for $600 NT, but I refused her, as she is beyond all hope of reformation and rehabilitation. Unless, during this Easter Holiday, she is visited by the three Easter Bunny Spirits of Past, Future and Present. I am not sure if that applies to Easter as well as Christmas.

Anyway, I needed to wind down after activities.

In the underground that connects to the MRT, there are two very large coffee / tea / drinks and dry snacks restaurants. Very informal, so friendly, with locals. One has a couple of large screen TV's, with a broader menu, but mine was the more simple one.

You are allowed to literally sit all day there and talk to friends, and sip and eat. It is a very popular hangout where many locals gather. Very nice.

Many people are writing, working something out on large papers. Not sure if it is some sort of divination, as the fortune tellers are in that section also. Or, maybe some sort of lottery or island activity from yesteryear.

Anyway, the hostess was lovingly nice to me, super friendly and happy to have a "waiguo ren" as their guest, as were the other patrons, happy and friendly towards me.

She served me a cafe late, $55 NT, hot and steamy, in a tall glass mug. Hit the spot. They have very nice, clean specialty coffee equipment.

And, then I went home.

Incidentally, across from that large snack shop, there is a very high-end tea shop, dark interior, nice mood, clean. I have spent time there on occasion. Higher prices. But, solemn, almost like a tea shop for meditative monks. They also serve black coffee only there, and hot chocolate for $120 NT, or water for $100 NT if you want to just sit there and enjoy a peaceful place, because the two other shops are more robust and jumpy. But, the high-end traditional, connoisseur teas there are quite expensive.

Haha yes, indeed I am aware of the price discrepancies. That's why I was lamenting that the only scene I'm familiar with thus far is the KTV outcall, which is unfortunately the only thing my friends are familiar with (and they don't mind the prices).

Unlike my friends, this does hurt my wallet and I care very little about the social aspect of the date. So for my long term sake, I will hopefully venture out on my own into the world of LINE dates and Amazake's street pals one of these days.

You can visit the provider and find one you like to take her out during her day off. This takes some time but with far less risk.

You then tell the agent which girl you are interested in, or what area, and they will tell you who is available. The girls work out of hotels, so they will tell you go to Hotel X at whatever time. When outside you message the agent and he sends you the room number, you go and knock and the girl is there by herself. You pay, you enjoy and leave. Normally Viet, Filipina and sometimes local, mid 20's.

I was in a Taiwan for a week and at end of my trip (yesterday) spent one day and evening in Taipei; the rest of the time was traveling by train around the island. I had an errand to do in Longshan Temple area of Taipei so caught the MRT from the Main Station subway and in two stops was at this location. After visiting the fantastic temple and doing my errand a few blocks away, I returned to the Temple area and was surprised to see many attractive girls walking about. I had no idea beforehand that this area might be fertile ground to meet a local lass so good to know from recent reports.

So is there more activity in the nighttime? Are there brothels nearby? A poster mentioned that possibility. Do you approach them or wait for them to speak to you? Also, what is the cost for a short term date? Many questions but I was not in Taiwan to monger but perhaps good to know for a future visit.

Directly across the street from Longshan Temple is Monga Park. It goes by many other names. Many homeless people. But, Buddhist organizations and local bakeries, and others are very compassionate and offer some food to them.

But, ladies are all around that park, and facing the temple, on the left is the Huaxi Night Market with tearooms. There is action there. Speaking Mandarin is a gigantic plus, but ladies are usually older except for the elevatored building that was discussed in this thread a page or two behind. There houses younger ladies.

And to your right is the Xichang Market street with ladies in your right and left as you walk the street from Guangzhou to Guilin. Younger Viets hang out in the inner alleys by the Diamond Building. Prices in the general area range from 1 to 3 K.

So, that is only a basic sketch. Others can chime in about pimps and brothels and online meetings.

On the streets, you must approach them. Them approaching gets them in trouble with the police. By the way, many police in the area. But, life goes on, and they are there mostly to keep order and to combat heinous crimes.

There is activity pretty much always. But, after 10 PM it slows down.

Before you come next time, spend an hour or so and read over recent posts in this thread. Very helpful.
