I have been reading the latest round of posts on the platform quite incredulously. Money is a sensitive topic for most people, and therefore dictating what is VFM seems to be extremely subjective and is reliant on an intersection of many factors. Personally, I come from a humble lower middle class background, and I always seem to gravitate towards unearthing hidden gems on a budget. I feel like Kolkata as a playground for monngers offers that in extreme abundance. However that is not to say that higher classes of WGs are not VFM for the services they provide in terms of GFE, attention to detail, hygiene, etc. , but for me, having to shell out damage in 5-digits just to unearth a rare gem feels quite redundant. Because, it is quite simple in my head, one has to play in the mud to find a diamond, as I cannot simply afford a high end spend to this end just to unearth value. However, I completely understand if someone else approaches this from a different perspective. Carnal urge is extremely personal and extremely varied in kinks, so therefore, the purpose should be to ideally find a process that works for you, I. E. The individual monger.

2) The Resources. Having said that, every mongering journey comes from a place of aggregation of various options. Simply because this is an activity heavily restricted / regulated, the sources of information itself is usually very untrustworthy and one has to literally do a lot of due diligence before even jumping in. I suppose, the charm of the activity lies in the risks one has to assume to even do due diligence, but to me, this Forum even as a lurker has been extremely useful. 3) This Forum. In terms of mongering in the white web, I feel like this Forum has been the only large scale implementation of sharing of information relating to all kinds of dos and don'ts. However, where one gets lost is the nature of anonymity of the forum, and the veracity of information coming from it. I feel like, simply because we are anonymous brethren together in this world of transactional relationships, we are more likely to spit out our own truths on here, I. E. FRs, recommendations, Damages, Damage Limitation etc. However, the only drawback to this is, we have very little idea of context of the information that we find on the forum. Therefore, one thing that has surely helped me is being able to negotiate thoroughly WITH MYSELF and thus with all possible parties while reading and implementing an FR and damages. This enables me to talk with Johnny regarding whether all the risks associated with attaining the bird shall be worth it. If the answer for me inside is "Hell, Yes!" and Johnny agrees (which is always! Then and only then do I proceed to reach the bird according to the information on the forum. Otherwise, in all possible situations, even if that answer inside is "Maybe", I decide against it and look at other options. I think these boundaries have kept me sane through all carnal urges, and works for me.

Conclusion: The purpose of this post was simply to share a process that I follow in following my instincts in shortlisting a bird. I am a newbie on the forum, but I have been mongering since my college days in 2016, and I wanted to pen my learnings from those days. Hopefully newbies like me, seniors and regulars alike will find this information useful to develop their own process. Thus, excuse the long post!

ISG is a wonderful platform for mongering. This website has helped getting connected to many fellow mongers and helped many to become experienced mongers.
