Don't spread BS. Sure they won't help you recover if you already have it, but help to protect you from getting it if you don't, and prevent you from spreading it if you do.

Getting covid in 2021 was no big deal for me. I'm 67 and in good health. My symptoms (which lasted about three days) consisted of slight fever, slight headache, temporary loss of taste, feeling a little sluggish. Hell, I have had hangovers, colds and and flu that were much, much worse. This was after I had the two mandatory shots (Pfizer) and one booster. I got it from a buddy who lived in my house. He was unvaccinated and his symptoms were the same as mine and lasted for him about a week. If you take hydroxychloroquine and zinc together you can reduce the duration and the severity of the symptoms (for common cold, too). The USA Government (and perhaps others) doesn't want you to know about this remedy because they would rather scare you into submission and ensure Big Pharma gets their huge income on this. Sure, people have died from covid but most if not all had pre-existing respiratory conditions. It's actually better if you DO get covid because your body will then produce the antibodies to prevent recurrence. And by the way, the masks do not help and there is significant scientific evidence emerging and proving that the boosters can cause harm to your body and even death. The long-term effects are yet to be determined in longitudinal studies. So, I'm not getting any more fucking boosters no matter what the fucking idiots in government say. That's my. 02 or should I say two bucks thanks to the inflation caused by the Chinese covid and our idiot president the mumbling, bumbling, stumbling, creepy, sleepy joe biden and all you fucking idiot dumbocrats that voted for him. I plan to get vaccination #9 in the US later this month. Meanwhile, no signs of Covid symptoms for me.

I am in Bali with the twins at the moment. Of course, they sleep all morning unless I wake them for breakfast. We have 2 rooms, so I switch them up, mostly based on who complains of medical problems the least before bedtime.

I've got one more day in Bali, then a day in Pattaya, and then off to Samui for a short stay. After that, I will be entertaining ladies in my condo for a week. Day 14 should be interesting bevause the bars will be closed.

I am an experienced traveler to Thailand (10+ trips) and considering a return in February 2023. I have not left the states since 2020 because Covid travel rules were often complicated and confusing. But I am still confused by what is written and discussed (here and other sites) about recent potential travel related issues. So I thought I would see if I could get a response to my specific questions without a Rtff response, which I have! I am sure the information will be useful to many others given the most recent post on the matter was June of 2022. If you'd rather reply via private message, please do!

1. I see, since June 2022, that a test or vaccination proof is not required to enter the Kingdom. But I am unclear if insurance is required should you get Covid in Thailand and be forced to stay or become hospitalized. Is medical insurance (trip specific or otherwise) required? I am fully vaccinated and boosted and will seek another booster before I would go.

2. Is this insurance where the Thailand pass comes in? Never had to apply for a Thai Pass for any trip before.

3. If you contract Covid and test positive in Thailand, do you quarantine in hotels selected by the Thai Govt or are you just required to quarantine somewhere at your own expense?

4. If you have to quarantine and miss your flight home, do the airlines generally waive associated change fees?

5. Less concerned about traveling back home, but recent experiences getting back into the states would be most welcome. Especially if testing prior to return flight is required and / or wise. From what I read, it is no longer required for citizens upon return after June 12,2022, but I would assume having my vaccination Record Card would be wise.

1. Nothing is required, but travel insurance is never a bad idea considering how cheap it is, and will pretty much solve any of these problems you listed

2. Thailand pass no longer exists. You just walk through at the airport nothing more.

4. Probably airline specific -- but travel insurance would sure help here to alleviate any issues.

Also, don't you take out travel insurance? If yes, just take out insurance that covers Covid and flight changes due to illness.

Glad to hear the Thai Pass is no longer. I just found what appears to be a recent Youtube video that explains a 6-8 step process to getting the QR code. Of particular concern to me was paid lodging reservations that could be confirmed for one's first 7 days, or so in the Kingdom. I dislike those commitments; prefering to only make 2-3 days in BKK upon arrival before I move on. This time, I am considering a trip to Koh Chang with a stopover in Pattaya going down and back.

Yeah that is old news. Over and out. I also forgot to mention you won't be testing for Covid anyway unless you choose to. You are good. All the Covid stuff is over with the exception of masks but they are not mandatory and like you know. Asian's wear those masks a lot anyways.
