Medellin has been going downhill for a while now.

It's not the pricing that bothers me.

I don't know what Medellin was like before, but for Colombia I'll have to agree that it's actually bad. Like every part from the low-end scene to the higher-end scene is just worse. The clubs are worse. The street action is worse. The massage places are worse. The city is nice though, and the non-P2 P scene is better. I stopped doing my daily reports earlier, but I think for like my day 7 I finally went to Parque lleras. I talked to a few girls, and they were charging 300 k / h + 90 k for the room. Majority of the girls were super mid, and then there were just a few attractive girls. I was talking to the girls outside the barricades, so maybe it's different inside and at Gustos and whatever. But it's funny there were actually 2 girls I recognized from Bogota who charge 130 k / h in Bogota but wanted 390 k / h here.

I never understood the thing about people complaining about others paying higher prices, but in mass quanties I guess it does actually make a difference. Like I'm fine with paying 400 k to see some of the girls at La Isla. Hong Kong Tijuanna is $100 to see a girl, and I've seen like 60-80 girls there. The hottest girls at La Isla are definitely hotter than the hottest girls at HK Tijuana. But seeing $200 to see a girl in Colombia is definitely the effect of this place being a way more common tourist destination.

Several rookie mistakes here. You are the one with the money not them. Regardless of whatever she quotes to you, you need to respond with "siempre pago 40 mil why yo pago la pieza" that will put you into the proper going rate range. If she says no you say no too. There are many more that will say yes do fuck her, and plus you can tell from her vibe she's a ***** if she says no, so fuck her. Second rookie mistake, you pay after the deed. "siempre pago despus. "you pay for the pieza with a 50 mil bill as long as the pie a is 10 mil or less you get back 40 mil to pay the girl. I recommend using Botero Real, the red hotel directly in front of the church (they charge 9 mil for 30 mins often longer before knock comes but officially it's 30 mins just ask for un ratico when paying and it's 9 mil).

As far as the knife thing it would have been avoided if you had exact change. As for her shitty attitude try to chat them up a bit before you take her to the room you can usually get a vibe for how they will be in the room based on how they interact with you during the pregame chat. Definitely some assumptions here in your response. I did talk to the girl beforehand, and it was totally fine. It was also completely in Spanish (including all of the convo inside of the room). I paid at the hotel desk, which OK I guess you guys in centro pay after the fact. But normally it doesn't make any difference at all. The only thing I didn't realize is that the rates mentioned on the forum of 35 k-50 k are for 30 minute sessions, not 15.

First of all, 90-100 USD at la isla is not a full hour session, but 30-40 minutes. Second of all, most Gusto girls would agree to 200-250 USD, or even lower, as one of the recent posters confirmed. Still pricey, but definitely not as high as 400 USD. Thirdly, Gusto girls usually stay with you for a few hours, sometimes overnight, depending on what you agreed on or how comfortable she is with you. Rarely they do more than 1 client per night, while La Isla girls can fuck multiple guys back to back, since sessions are short, and they fuck on site, no time is wasted on ubers, etc. Try to get La Isla girl for a takeout and see what she is going to quote you, because of the lost income opportunity. I bet it would be in the 1 to 1. 5 million pesos, which is basically Gusto rates.

I visited her last week. The first Photoprepagos girl I visited. Her price is 80 k an hour and 30 k for BBBJ. The address of her building is in her add it's off Calle 44 on carrera 79 A. Well let me start off with saying she's ugly and looks nothing like her pictures. They are allowing the girls to quote prices and I did get quoted 300-600 k pesos, the 50 k entrance fee and the occasional 80 K "special event" fee keeps all if not all regular Colombians out of the club, this is why I guess most gringos now feel safe to make it rain. I didn't take any of the Chicas, had other options. Chicas there, some of them are legit 10's and seeing them naked is an added plus as you can see any flaws (stretch marks, bad surgery scars). Prices are no longer listed behind or near the bar as you say.

I suppose the regular room price is 400 K so the Chica who quoted 300 K may have been lying, it was a slow night.

One of my favorite pastimes while on mongering trips is to go to some spots and observe, use to do it at HELP in rio and many other bars in pattaya, Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong etc . I do the same in Colombia. I watch the girls, the customers and the interactions- observe and learn.

Some come talk to me but otherwise I am low key, grab a cheap drink, be cool with the staff and security. Sometimes I get lucky oftentimes I hop in Uber go my on way.

La Isla is not a club with freelancers, like Gusto. Rates are supposed to be fixed (they do have basic and more expensive rooms though), but you are not supposed to negotiate. The last time I fucked a girl there, I paid 350 k, basic room included. BTW, you pay to the cashier at the bar. I heard now the minimum fixed rate is 400 mil (basic room, 30-40 minute service). If you don't want a more expensive room, or a longer session, there is no need to negotiate. You can always ask the cashier about the current rates, rather than asking girls and being quoted different prices. I think they used to have a sign with the fixed rate by the bar. Don't be a sucker, and only pay the fixed rate!

Please note entrance fee at la ISLA is 50 K not 80, says so at the door. A corona beer is about 32 K not 40 and yes you can buy one.

I'm pretty tech savvy so wanted to share some tips. I'm not speaking from results here as I have not been on my trip yet, these are mostly things I have noticed or that came to mind while preparing that I have previous technical experience with. If something is already common knowledge I guess I just have not seen it mentioned here yet.

Facebook:

- Profiles location: I've set my location to Medellin, it's less likely to trigger facebook banning you for adding many girls from Medellin rather than some other location.

- Friend's List: If you've set your profile's location to Medellin, when looking through someone's friend's list you can filter the friend's list by "My Current City" to avoid clicking through everyone. You must be logged in on a desktop browser.

- VPN: I've noticed some mention to also VPN and set your location to Medellin. Don't for the most part unless you have a dedicated IP VPN. Paid services like NordVPN still use shared IPs that so many bots also use, your account will be way more likely to be banned as Facebook know those VPN IPs. If you insist on using a VPN, choose a newer server (higher # usually) and use the same one each time. The better option is to use a dedicated proxy or your cell off of wifi. All overkill in my opinion, your own IP should be fine.

- Aged Accounts: If you are making a new account and don't want to start slow (e. G. 5 requests a day) buy an aged account for a few dollars (https://accsmarket.com/en/catalog/facebook/fbboosted). These are registered years ago and have some random friends populated. Aged accounts are way less likely to be banned. The better ones are usually the USA IP registered ones. You can also request it be male / female etc. Again nothing really wrong with just registering your own new facebook account fresh but I've been adding 20-30 girls / day with an aged account and no issues yet.

- Saving Posts: I have seen it suggested to save url links to girls profiles to be added later if you're limiting your friend requests. Instead if the girl's profile has at least one post on it, you can save that post from their profile within facebook to your saved posts section where you can also create categories (https://www.facebook.com/saved). It's more streamline than having it in a document. Plus when I go to send some friend requests on the app and revisit the saved list, it even suggests removing them from the list, almost like it knows you've now added them. It's a nice way to make a queue.

- Friend Custom Lists: Once girls are friends you can create different custom friend's lists within facebook (https://www.facebook.com/friends) primarily this might be helpful to organize girls however you want. You can also use these custom lists in your privacy settings to hide and show various parts of your profile / posts to different girls if you need for whatever reason.

Other Generic Safety Tools. I mention these here because Medellin isn't the safest, nothing beats just not putting yourself in situations to begin with but these might help if you need them:

- AI Background Check: This is not regular Tineye or Reverse Image search. With AI Facial search (https://pimeyes.com) you can upload some photos of a person and it will go and find that exact person online, in many other places they appear in photos. It's particularly good at finding adult content, so if the girl you're searching has escort ads or webcam content up, it may find those. You can also probably find their real name / social account if they're public enough. Up to you how you use this, it is paid to visit the links but you can see the results for free. Personally if I was talking to a girl and she's acted all innocent and I find she's all over camming sites and ads, I'd prefer to know what I am going in to. It's also great to see some content as a sneak preview.

- Wifi Security Camera: Instant view into my hotel room / airbnb from my phone and records too, alerts me to movement in my room too. Many on the market, mine fits in palm of my hand and was <$50. (Wyze cam on amazon). If I travel I can just plug it in and connect it to the wifi. Can record to an SD card or to the cloud if you're wanting content off site. I read a story here that an accomplice to a scoping broke and stole a security cameras memory, so it being in the cloud already means it's already stored online and away from you physically if it get's broken or stolen. The downside here is you might not want your security camera footage going online even if it is a secured passworded location. Your call. You could even just point it right at your door to get a girls face on her way in.

- Location tracking: You might want to use Airtags to track your stuff, or share your phone's location with a friend.

- Put your money in your shoe: Yeah this one is low tech! But saved me maybe over a total of $1000 in Mexico, cops stopped me a few times and stole my money from my wallet, but they forgot my shoes! Also a throw away wallet with old cards can help.

- Door stop alarm: I don't have one of these but did consider one when I was travelling a while back. Basically a door wedge to put by your door, if someone tries to open your front door you'll know.

While I'm not on facebook, I have had some problems with SA while outside the USA, so your facebook and VPN suggestions may come in handy for that.

I've visited OM Spa in Rio Sur a few times. My experience there is that HJ is available and readily offered for too high of a price. But that's about it. Though I can confirm takeout is available with all that you'd expect. Never saw Dan or Zen there. But, I had a hard enough time finding OM. LOL.

On previous occasions when I have been there, it was 50 k to enter and I was allowed to buy one beer only.

That particular night, it was 80 k to enter and you had to buy 2 of whatever you were drinking. The 32 k is likely accurate. That particular number I don't remember for certain.

I'll say this. La Isla has never been my favorite place. It's a bit too transactional. And the rain boys just piss me off and put me in a bad mood. But, I'll stop there once or twice every trip. On my last trip, there seemed to be a decidedly different vibe. Much more aggressive meseros. I'm totally speculating but it felt like new management with a much different approach than I saw in the past. I saw some meseros directed by managers (to approach some patrons and advise that they needed to order a drink. I don't have the backstory. For all I know, these patrons were troublemakers. But the whole vibe was different. I'm going to try it once more next week and it might be off my list after that.

After several months of reading these reports, saving up and finding the right time to make the leap to explore this mystical place, the time is almost here. Tonight has a kid-like Christmas energy, where you can't sleep because you know tomorrow morning is going to be nothing but fun. I know someone is reading this post the same way I used to read others here, wishing, fantasizing and dreaming that it should be you on the next plane away from all these problems. I think we've all experienced it. Haha I live near a mid-size town in the Southeast. More often than not, I'll fly out of a larger airport, often the first flight out in the morning.
