I went to both and I have to agree MC is much better than Solarium. It is slightly cheaper but better quality girls, and better than 4 x4 for a mile. I guess because the type of girls I prefer are more available at MC than 4 x4.

What would you guys say the best day (s) and time to visit Monte Carlo?

I think he had a point. My usual was to pay a chick from Help 100 reais for long time and toward the end of the Help days no more than 150. Never had a problem with this. Many veterans on here would always report paying upwards of 300 reais. Same in Thailand. I have been giving chicks the equivalent of $30 for long time for the past 14 years. Many veterans (my friends included) are regularly paying $60 for short time. No idea why.

Towards the end of Help's days the real was very strong. The last three years of Help Disco 150 reals for all night would have been $60 and $90. I know because I was there several times during that time. Even 100 reals was much more than $30 during 2006-2009.

Yep, they're not full-blown strip clubs with totally naked chicks in every direction but there is enough stimulus. Just know that 4 x4 is closed on Saturdays and Sundays with most others closed Sunday.

There are no guaranteed venues in Rio for top optics like Scandallo. That said I had great luck at Monte Carlo and several other posters have confirmed. I saw a legit 9. 5 there but she insisted CBJ. Otherwise 7 and 8+s with great service.

It is small like Solarium but waaaay better vibe IMO. Solarium is like being in a doctors office. Very bright not a bar like vibe. Monte Carlo is very much like a bar. Low lighting. Very good bar service. Just a much less awkward vibe. And three of us had a great time!

If Steve says the girls are currently hot at Monte Carlo, they are hot. Based on the women he scores, you can trust his judgment.

The caveat is that while the top clubs have been at the top a very long time the club with the best girls is fluid and of course in the eye of the beholder. It's always fun to check out a few. Also, know what hours the club is hopping. You might show up before most of the girls arrive. Show up too late and you might only see a few girls left who were passed over all night.

I paid my first visit to Solarium, and it's also my first mongering experience in Brazil. Although I wasn't disappointed, I have to say it didn't live up to my expectations.

First of all, there are many good things about this place: girls may give you slutty looks to entice you, but they don't push for a session; a lot of girls have all natural bodies and good curves, which is very important to me.

However, the cons are also obvious. For example, the entire second floor where girls interact with customers is so small! When you get in the room and find a place to sit down, all the girls just look at you hoping to be picked, and it gets a little awkward after a while. More importantly, there are no stunners! Many girls have all natural bodies, but their bodies are not like smoking hot, gym model type of hot. And many of them have something done on their faces, like a nose job or botox, while those who don't are just not that pretty or a little bit old.

I will check out other top tier termas in Rio later, but my hunch is that the other places are more or less the same.

Is there any venue in Rio where I can find top talent? Do I really have to go to Scandallo in SP to find a girl that's drop dead gorgeous?

A lot of clubs have a policy that restricts the girls from approaching too aggressively. This is not a bad thing either, sometimes you just want to have a drink and relax a bit without being bombarded by the girls. Be careful what you wish for hahaha.

Also some people prefer the smaller clubs. I would choose Bomboa over Scandallo for example, although I think Scandallo is the best club in the world for hobbyists.

I think you need to visit multiple termas, maybe Solarium was just not your style.

I'm actually considering a flight to Rio using United / Azul (with stops in ORD and GRU). Pretty decent price. Is a 2 hour layover in GRU long enough to get through customs and security to make that next flight to Rio? Should be, but. LOL.

Also, in everyone's experience, those long ass flights from US to Brazil, do they generally run on time, arrive early, etc? Seems like with a 9 or 10 hour flight, there is ample time to arrive earlier than expected. Debating because if I arrive at the airport at 9 am, might reserve my Airbnb in Copa a day earlier so I'm not waiting around 6 hours to check in a 3 pm.

I would worry more for a tight connection in ORD when one needs to change terminals. 2 hour layover in GRU is OK. You can do a duty free and pack it in your check-in luggage before you drop it for an Azul flight.

Monte Carlo.

I visited this place at around 5 pm On Thursday. I found the girls here more attractive than those at Solarium. Not only do most of them have all natural bodies, but also few of them have anything done on the faces. The girl I sessioned with told me that gringos love all natural girls, and I guess MC accommodates to gringo tourists because of its location by selecting the girls gringos prefer. Interestingly, when I mentioned 4 X4 to my girl, she frowned and said I wouldn't like it because it's filled with silicone girls.

I saw a few stunners on my way out after the session. I've decided to come back to MC just for the stunners. When I arrived, there were only a few girls, less attractive ones, and I should have held out until the hotter girls arrived. So if you want to visit this place, it might be a better idea to arrive later, at around 6:30 pm.

Centaurus.

I hesitated about going to Centaurus because of its notoriety as a clip joint with average white girls, but when I found out my apartment is only a few minutes' walk away, I decided to give it a shot. I mean, why not. And it turned out to be the most surprising part of my mongering trip so far. Everything I learned about this place is different from my personal experience.

First of all, it's not expensive. 40 minutes is 600 reais, the same as MC and slightly cheaper than Solarium. Secondly, when I visited, there were no white girls. ALL OF THE GIRLS ARE DARK-SKINNED! Morenas and mulatas only. I don't know, maybe it's Saturday and all the hot white girls are out partying. Thirdly, none of the girls were pushy. They kind of acted in the same way as girls at MC or Solarium: after you sit down, they circle around and smile at you, hoping to be picked.

Finally, I have to say that Centaurus has the best facilities of the three termas I've been to, especially the room: a really big bed in a large room where you can try all the moves, LOL.

Unfortunately, the girls at Centaurus are just not pretty enough for me, and I really don't like the vibe at the bar area: it's dead silent without even any music! I don't think I will come back to this place.
