Visited there few weeks ago. Communicated with them on the usual (Photoprepagos) route on WA. When I texted back and fourth I was told I needed an appointment an hour in in advance with one of the girls. I asked if I could just show up now at the present time. Typically the problems that arise is when guys rent places and make a lot of noise and / or have some very slutty women coming and going and someone in the building complains.

If guys are discreet about their business, meaning telling their visitors to come dressed like a house maid (not in a uniform) but plane Jane clothing and no make-up versus full on hooker attire that will go a long way.

The other thing to do is be-friend the doorman called Porteros.

Grease the skids with them, buy them some food / drinks and that will go a long ways in case anything arises and you need someone on your side.

I would be careful if the house rules say no sex tourism and you are engaged in mongering. They definitely would have the right to kick you out and then it becomes a headache that you have to deal with, during the trip and after the trip with Abnb to get your money back. I agree that it is possible that they won't enforce it but it is also possible that they do. They say it explicitly so there is not much you can do when you blatantly violate one of the conditions of renting the Abnb apartment.

I would ask the host directly about guests visiting the place and if they say, it is fine, then I would rent the place. If the house rules say no sex tourism and the host tells me that no guest are allowed, I would be hesitate to rent the place and just ignore the house rule. I am on vacation. I don't need hassles. There are other places to rent.

I have been exploring the listings of Abnb places in Medellin. There are quite a few that expressly say no sex tourism or "no hookers". It is a shame that a number of those places are very nice. A lot more places say that visitors are not allowed or the registered guests are allowed, meaning if you have a special girl. Medellin probably has more Abnb places with guest restrictions than other cities. There is definitely a lot of hosts who do not want the business of gringos engaged in mongering so be careful about reading the house rules when trying to book an Abnb place.

If you are a casa guy or El Centro streetwalker fan, it will not be a problem and there are a lot of great places that you can stay for a reasonable price. There are still a number of good places on Abnb that are guest friendly but I would say it is a minority of listings on Abnb.

It is the same with the hotels. There are guest friendly hotels but there are also a lot of hotels that do not allow guests or charge a high price for visitors.

You don't run into this issue as much in Thailand or the Philippines or even Mexico. But apparently it is an issue in Medellin.

Last time I was in MDE I stayed at no doorman airbnb near Lleras and it was great I would just walk the girls back to my spot for fun.

Over the last few nights, the actual park has been empty between 10 pm and 3 am. The checkpoints are really grilling the girls.
