My local source (who lives in Piter) didn't inform me about police crakdowns recently, old school chains like FrauM, Modeli and Pride are still active, like they have been for years. But a while ago he said something about few salons which closed, I don't remember that exact reason but he thinks that the owners didn't pay the vzyatka to their respective krishas, which is suicidal for any business. About Moscow I don't know, I did not visit salons there for years. As a side note: the EUR is quite high at the moment, around 100 rub. Oh, and regarding kissing, hmm, I myself didn't want to french kiss most of the girls, but those who were extremely sweet I kissed, and she did not charge extra, but again, this already over one year ago. Actually the prices are up if we are talking RUB. In St. Petersburg the average would be around 6000 Rub and up nowadays. However, the seems to be a crackdown on salons, so many of them closed / switched to outcall only / working descretely with mongers they already know from before. Also many services that used to be included in the main price if the girls like you (like kissing, DATY) now are paid extras. Things just seem to be getting worse nowadays.

IMHO it's a misconception to think that a large part of the upper class Russians have migrated. In Russia local riches are still getting richer and while the economy is still stable despite sanctions (as opposed to for example Germany which is officially in recession and the US which almost went default), the market is slowly growing. Yes many Russians migrated, but it was in all classes of the society, specially the lower class who used the chance of the momentum to say "-Hey Western country, here I am, a political refugee, give me some refugee status, financial help etc. !" who definitively will not work as a WG, on the contrary. Now if he / she was really opposing the government, it's another question, well it's her / his right, but he / she maybe understood the heat of the moment is now to fulfill that old dream (of migration to the West, which dates back some years). Opportunistic chess players, possible, but I don't blame them. Everyone has the right to achieve his goals in life. Good luck to them.

Russian diaspora goes back to the Soviet Times and even before. And will continue after the end of the SMO. About the rest of your post I can not comment, as I don't know what FH is.

Some Russian artists, including icon Pugachova (who was one of the most influential celebrities in Russia) left Russia last year because of the situation and SMO. Meanwhile some surprisingly already came back, but those who became too vocal like Zemfira was put in a list of "Foreign Agents" (under a law that also exists in the USA BTW), which means, if she decides to return, the welcoming will not be so bright. We will see how the situation will develop. There are direct flights to Georgia (country, not state) now as far as I understand.

I've considered visiting again but just too impractical with no access to bank cards etc. I've resorted to Prague now which is the closest set up to Russian salons and a few of them are Russian owned and Russian style. I am not Russian, but many times I heard the stories about the 90's. Good and bad ones. IMO It will never be 100% like that anymore, but maybe something similar, hell, maybe even better (regarding to us foreign guests). As for now, Due to the difficulties in logistics and visa etc. It's more difficult for Westerners now to reach the land in question. Judging from the posts on www.sextalk.ru prices certainly don't seem to have dropped much. Isn't it interesting how this thread has completely "dried up" in recent months? With the special action that we don't really need to refer to by name, I suppose it is understandable. To any of you ISG members who are left in Moscow, I would certainly be interested to know what's going on. I suspect that there are still a few expats still living in Moscow keeping their heads down. But what about the sex scene in Moscow? Has there been an evolution? I suppose I should not be so lazy and check for myself on www.sextalk.ru.
