Posts: 240OK, reality check. I've dated models in the USA, I used to work as a photographer. How much do you think models make? 99% of them don't make enough to work full-time as models. The ones who do live in NYC, LA (with winter in Miami) - very agency-controlled lives. Now switch over to South America. I'm pretty almost no models make enough to make a living; and if any do they are full-time employed and not running around, most likely living agency-controlled lives in Bogota.

Their average sneaker is $500 - but since they distribute in Colombia. Anyone wanting to buy them can just get them at a local store or distributor.
But this is about all I am about to say about this, it's just unrealistic. I have a date tonight with Dany. A 6'1" model type who you could drop in Paris on Fashion Week and she would fit right in. And she thinks she's super demanding because she wants 400 mil a date / night. This is Medellin, after all.

The more you pay for pussy the less you are paying for sexual services and the more you are paying for the life support system for the pussy and all the benefits that come with the package. I have never had a girl actually perform better in the bed depending on how much they are getting paid. Girls are emotional creatures. Mongers under estimate how much the presentation of self factors into the equation. If you are ugly, fat, smell bad and don't speak the language those are all factors that can even influence your experience with paid sex. Many forget they are dealing with another human being the is being paid to perform a service for you and therefore they deserve to be treated as such. Without attitude or being demeaned.

Posts: 4349Rental housing cost increases in Medellin (this excludes short term rentals such as Airbnb etc.) are legally limited to the annual rate of inflation. For 2022 to 2023 that rate is unusually high (about 13%, a little more than double last year's rate), but not as high as the rates of increase I've been reading about for short term rentals. The legal rent increase rate does not apply to new rentals nor, of course, does it apply to real estate sales. Colombian or foreigner, you would have to have been renting or looking to buy at the extreme upper edge of your budget to get priced out of any long term (I. E. One year or more) rental or property purchase. I think I am agreeing with guys who have been on here in recent days saying Colombia is not worth what it costs them to stay in Airbnb's in Laureles, Poblado, or Envigado, and source dates on from the facebook profiles aimed at gringo punters.

Posts: 1843The sky is falling. USD vers COP.
The rate from USD to COP today sits at about $1 = 4,200 Colombian pesos which is a 12% drop in the past handful on months.
Is this lower exchange rate have any influence on what your paying for your dates?
TTM.

Posts: 676Lmao. There's a difference between a hooker and a GF. I said my GF bought me 1000 $ sneakers. She was a model in Ecuador. Her family lives in Itagui and I stayed with her all the time. Yes if a girl is from bello Manrique popular etc for me I would never date a girl from those areas again. The more one comes to Colombia the more they learn about the country and how things work.

I love going to the club and watching my girl pop up on the screen cause she's in one of Ryan Castros music videos.
But hey that's just me.
Paulie stop being so bitter. You definitely don't know it all. I'm sure I don't either. But in the game of mongering there are plenty of girls who don't see Colombians.

It doesn't matter which barrio a girl comes from. Girls are not paid based on where they live or grew up, this is totally irrelevant. What matters is where they work (=sell pussy), what audience they target, and if they are smart enough to go where the money is. And obviously, she has to stand out in terms of the looks and personality, which is self-explanatory and has nothing to do with her barrio. A great example would be a stunner from a poor village in Ukraine. She comes to Dubai and all of a sudden starts earning thousands. Or finds a rich Sugar Daddy and is set for years. Instead of selling her pussy for cheap in Ukraine, she realized she would have much better opportunities in Dubai, or London, etc.

Another thing you fail to understand that a girl doesn't necessarily need to go through all the stages of a "career path", so to speak, starting out at lower end casas or streets of El Centro. All she needs to do is to set up a profile online, and wait. If she is a stunner, she will get snatched quickly. Again, if she truly stands out, she will have no problem finding a sugar daddy or wealthy clients who would pay top dollar / peso. You can't even imagine how easy and fast this can happen nowadays.
I have said this before, you and some other posters will never agree with me or Sang, because of the pussy is pussy mentality.

I suggest to everybody to stay away from Medellin. I was robbed $7 k and my friend $20 k (even tough I explained him all safety tips) Lots of gangs are fishing American tourists and spiking your drinks or blowing something to your face or even putting on something to their tits and after you lick or smell you wake up with an empty bank account after 48 hours. If you are married, your wife can go crazy. You end up into police station. They are doing a big nothing for you. There is no way to escape from this danger. They are using the well-known apps and beautiful girls. If you don't drink anything they will blow to your face or put something on their tits and you will sleep like a baby min 36 hours. Then they are professional about hacking phones and emptying your all accounts, cash apps etc.

I am not sure if you are aware of the many macro and micro economic issues that are affecting the pricing of housing in general. Inflation, weakness in the COP and demand. This is not due to greedy landlords or investors. It is being generated by government policies and the printing to fiat currency in excess that means nothing. Landlords and investors are only reacting to the market conditions that they find themselves in. The only thing the might be attributed to gringos / digital nomads is demand (and that is still a big if). If you can't afford to live where you want to live work harder. If you can't afford to travel, work harder and save money longer. Don't blame it on others!
After my first trip to Medellin I have nothing but good things to say about the place. Of course I don't live in the past. I operate under the market conditions that exist in the present. As a professional investor in real estate and businesses, I know of what I speak.

Posts: 240Why not just stay at the Mansion? Totally safe, every girl who enters is registered and ID checked, girls hanging out daytime, on premise club with girls, most guests don't speak english so girls are google translate familiar, etc. Seems so much easier for your situation.

It's not an "excellent point" as most of the "model" and "high end" designations are all in Sangnyc21's head. As is the claims that "models" are buying him $1000 sneakers. Virtually all of these girls working around El Poblado and the more expensive strip clubs are from the same lower tier barrios (Bello, Manrique, Aranjuez, etc.) and didn't get into hooking in a vacuum. Just ask them what neighborhood they are from. Few will lie. They started with Colombian men and will see the same today when they can match the gringo's bid. Also many of these started working in Centro clubs and casas then after some better makeup, clothes, and silicone graduated to the more expensive venues. I've seen it time and again. Thus these distinctions guys like you and Sang constantly make to reinforce your fantasies are invalid. It's just how it is.

Posts: 1261As I re-read my own comment I think I exaggerated the changes in pricing that Airbnb suggests to owners / hosts. In my example my normal price (not in Colombia) was around $120 per day, and at times the Airbnb suggested price would go as high as $170 or so per night, other times it would suggest $90, or less. I never totally trusted these pricing suggestions, especially the low numbers, as Airbnb itself always tries to get it's hosts and owners to lower overall prices to drive its business higher for higher market share.

Posts: 49I'm not sure if you aware but pricing Airbnb and housing in general in Medellin has seen major increases since 2020. So much so that it is creating a housing problem for the locals. It's well documented and not due to an "algorithm". Units that were $40 a night are now $100. Apartments that were 2. 5 mill are now 5 mil. A lot of this is due to greedy landlords and investors but it all continues to exacerbate the housing issue. The apartment issue is a very contentious one right and sore spot for Colombians because they attribute it to gringos / digital nomads moving in.
