I just got back from my Aisa trip covering India, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. As far as safety concerns and being targeted by police for being a tourist, never happened in past 12 years and neither this time. I stayed at Classic for 3 nights and did my deeds. Go in early at around 7 pm as those cute chic with nice curves tends to disappear after 10 pm. No issues. Be cautious, be calm and learn how to say "NO" with a smile, firmly but politely and they will get the msg. Remaining 4 days I stayed at Ascot in Central area. No issues either and other high end bars are within a short commute.

Classic is still thriving so is KC. FYI, no more free visa on arrival anymore. There is a fee of USD $35 at the airport which you will have to pay at a special booth before queuing up at immigration line. Also, there is a digital customs declaration form that you will have to fill using computer provided or your own cellphone.

I'm totally not into the Tinder thing. I'd much rather go old school and scout multiple girls in person, and know exactly what I'm getting at the moment I'm going to fuck them. Nothing can compare to that.

Are these hotels (and others) still a viable option for P4P, or have they fallen off since the pandemic? I don't hear them mentioned as much in recent blogs.

As far as the "big nightclubs", I'm not sure I'd be interested. They seem like a facsimile of the pretentious American clubs. If I wanted that, I'd just stay where I am.

Other than that, if you are willing to spend the time get yourself a Tinder Gold account. That will allow you to set up as if you are in Jakarta. Choose your age range, put in a brief bio, and you will start to get pinged by a wide variety of ladies. You can then start culling. Takes a bit of work to weed out the diamonds in the rough, but I have found it to be well worth it. You are going to find everything from Uni students looking for a few dollars to get them through their studies, lonely divorcees looking for a nice night out, and full core ladies of negotiable affection. You may be lucky and find a freebie or two, well nothing is ever free, it will cost you a good dinner in a nice restaurant. I still have a regular who I met 5 years ago when trawling for company, she costs nothing more than dinner and drinks. How to use Tinder and other apps is also well covered in here.

Apart from that, BATS tends to be my place these days. I stay well clear of the lower end of town. Get what I want in BATS, yes they are a little older, but they also tend to speak good English and are good company, and I'm happy to pay a few extra dollars for that. OS wouldn't know the answer to that one for he spends his time exclusively in low end bars and lokalisasi's due to the sheer avalanche of choice of 18 to 20 yo fun and having had a few unsavoury experiences with online. And if you want to go high end. Head to the big night clubs, but your chances of scoring anything there may be more age dependent, how big your wallet is, and if you are with any locals. Dragonfly and Basque are two old regulars that are still around, and then there's the new mega clubs. W Super Club and the H Club, which is supposedly the biggest nightclub in Asia. The last two may be an interesting, but very expensive environment. They have just opened so will be the place to go and be seen at. May try out the H Club in August when I am in town, just for the hell of it.

Police target tourists everywhere in Asia. If you could end up in jail for even talking to a hooker I would have a rap sheet a mile long. As OS so quaintly pointed out, if this worries you, best not step out the front door. But trust me, there are far scarier places to visit than Indonesia.

It's true. In Indonesia society is horribly garbled, the sharia police are everywhere and OS is glad you have read this online for it must be true.

Trust nobody, your enemies can be everywhere, why!, OS was in the supermarket last week and watched a packet of potato chips shape shift into a devilled eyed enemy. Fortunately OS carries garlic with him to vanquish his enemies thus. But its tricky. Hookers, bad news, OS saw one hooker go and hand herself in to the sharia police so she could claim the reward for catching a hooker. The fat ones and muscly ones are especially to be avoided, there are stories of them dragging innocent foreigners, still balls deep and dog locked into the police station to claim a double reward. That's grandpa's motorbike repairs paid for.

OS would counsel that you very carefully assess the risks of visiting Indonesia for he can see you like to manage risk and the sheer volume of risk that you will be required to assess could affect you negatively. I'm not, as I read them several months ago and don't even remember their titles.

What has your experience been in Jakarta? Is anything I said exaggerated? Would really love to just book my flight and head out there, but not if it's too dangerous for a white (Italian-American) guy, and I'm not referring to the people there; I'm referring to the police and legal system.

There is no need to ask all these questions and you do realize it's difficult for us to answer all these questions when you have never provided us with any reviews. Guys on this board need to realize if you don't post reviews of your trips you will get a more general answer like I gave below.

I've given you WAY more information than I had on my first trip. You should be way more than fine. On each of your first 4 nights go to Kelepa Gading, Kota Indah, Classic, and Travel. You can add Malio in there if you're not on a strict budget. All except for Kelapa Gading are within minutes of each other by taxi. There are plenty more options in Jakarta too but I'd be guessing to know what you're looking for.

Will be traveling to Jakarta soon and plan to share field reports to return the favor. In the meantime, can anyone recommend the best options for daytime mongering options? Are the places in Kota Indah like Starmoon too dead to bother with in afternoon?

KI opens at 4 pm (used to be 3 pm) and there are girls in the bars at that time. Safer to wait til maybe 5 pm or so. Classic and Travel open at 5 pm and you'll be able to find plenty of girls once they open. Lots of spa options open earlier like Delta, B Fashion, Sumo, etc.

Thinking about grabbing numbers from girls at night and meeting up during day outside of spa may be the way to go. Please let me know if there are any off the radar daytime options you'd suggest. Thanks!

You may want to consider heading to BATS or CJ's and picking up numbers for FL girls if you want afternoon meetups. Can be a real pain with some of these tightly controlled bar girls if you're a non regular.

The best deal would have to be Jonisteak on the same block as Classic. 2 very good reasonably priced restaurants are Holy Cow Steakhouse and Happy Days. Tons of food carts and restaurants on Percenongen. There's even a Domino's Pizza right across from Classic for something quick. Never tried the Chinese restaurants in Classic.

Hotel Travel is almost identical. Pick your poison. Tons of areas with many bars within feet of one another instead of one large room. The 2 most popular for tourists are Kota Indah and Kelapa Gading. Lots of info in this forum.

Read the forum on how Classic and Travel work. They're not like most bars. If you see a girl you like ask her who her Mamasan is. Try learning to say it in Bahasa since many of the girls don't speak English. She can only be booked through her Mamasan. If you grab the nearest Mamasan you will be swayed to that Mamasan's girls. if a Mamasan sees you as a confused newbie she will follow you everywhere. On my first visit one followed me across the bar to the washroom and waited for me to finish.
