That's why I have a policy of never appearing in photos from anyone while I'm travelling for fun.

I can't think of any positive ramifications of having photos of me in a red light district or surrounded by barely dressed hookers.

Unannounced to me, in 2021 one of my prior holiday girlfriends posted a TikTok of me. A bit later, one of my 2020 holiday girlfriends saw that video and told me about it. I didn't believe her, so she did a screen capture for proof. I confronted my prior holiday girfriend about what she posted and she ghosted me; haven't heard from her in almost 2 years now.

Concerning 3 somes: the best are unplanned. A couple of ladies drinking Tequila, and then things happen. Unfortunately, it sometimes means that I am ignored, although things generally work out at the end.

This is a two-sided argument for me. I've been going to Pattaya and / or Bangkok since 2010; once or twice a year. Being single I have that luxury. That said, I get odd looks from family (daughter) and friends when I tell them I'm going to Thailand again (or Costa Rica for that matter). I'm certainly not saying that I'm going to these countries looking for young pussy. So, it may get them to go onto YouTube to see where I'm headed. Thailand sure seems to be a far trip because they have "beautiful golf courses"! I sure can't say they have nice casinos, like I say when going to Costa Rica. So nowadays I pretty much keep my travel plans to myself.

True story: When I was living in Florida, I went to a favorite hangout of mine. In comes a nice looking youngish woman who sits beside me. I'm in the middle of telling the bartender that I'm headed to Costa Rica soon. The woman asks, what am I going to Costa Rica for; I respond for the "fishing"! She replies that it's a coincidence as her husband is in Costa Rica at that very moment, "fishing". She goes on to clarify that he is staying in the famous Hotel Del Rey, the biggest bordello in Latin America at that time. The bartender and I both turned our faces away to not bust out in laughter. Guys know why guys go to Costa Rica. Sure fishing is one reason, but the Hotel Del Rey is not near any body of water for anything other than "pussy fishing". Now, all one has to do is to look up the HDR to know what goes on there. By far though, there are more videos of Thailand as far as I've come across. Now I'm just talking about YouTube. I'm not savvy enough to look much deeper, but I'm sure they're out there.

Costa Rica put into place a law that you can't promote the sex trade of their country. It was primarily aimed at one vlogger; "Cuba Dave"; who did regular visits that promoted where you could go to find pussy, how much it cost, what hotels to use, etc. He was arrested on landing in CR and did some serious time in a rough CR jail. Don't be surprised if Thailand comes up with something similar.

Going to Pattaya and being incognito is getting harder and harder. On any given day in any of the known bar areas that foreigners frequent, you can see 1 to 100 cameras a night being used to take videos of the bar areas. In fact, when a guy asks me why I go to Pattaya, I just say; "look up Soi 6 or Walking Street" and watch some of the videos. Trying to explain what is available in those venues is just too hard to describe!

Sometime in the future facial recognition will be able to scan videos. Your grandkids might google search you just for fun and see you at some nude bar in soi 6.

It's not the matter of someone actively looking for "your" image, but somebody casually looking at a video and casually see a person they shouldn't.

Like it or not, both BKK and Pattaya are visited by rather famous or recognisable people who attend their nightlife with some degree of discretion. They might not necessarily identified by the crowd on the ground but might be seen in a video by someone who can recognise them.

True someone might ask "why the hell are you looking at those videos about Pattaya night life?" It's a legitimate YT video, not a porn movie you'the be embarrassed to tell you are watching.

I for one would be adverse to an increase in the Korean presence in Pattaya. (I know they're already there and your groups have deals with bars).

They're starting to complain about the scene in Angeles city despite them being the dominant demographic there for a decade now, and running the place to shit. They've completely priced themselves out of the market there by bringing their expensive mongering practices from home, and now might be looking for a new playground to ruin.

The Thais are far more organized than the Filipinos and are less likely to let Koreans do to Pattaya what was done to Angeles, but I still can't shake that worrying feeling.

What they see through their camera is seen globally. By peoples relatives, by the authorities etc. The only people who it serves is those making the videos and the people living sheltered lifestyles at home and need this sort of crap. Take a good look in the mirror. See who is being sheltered from the real world.

I'm in Rio right now and there's a lot more people here who I'd consider scum over some guy making YouTube videos. I've mongered here, Sao Paulo, Bogota. Medellin and more and gone to the local red light areas such as Vila Mimosa and Santa Fe. There's people in these places who would happily rob you at gun or knife point if they got the chance, that's who I consider scum, not some guy filming people on a public street.

I think it's perfectly reasonable not to like the YouTubers, I just think calling them scum is a large exaggeration. How do you feel about the people who post naked pictures of the working girls on here or other forums without the girls permission? That's worse than filming people in public in my humble opinion.

I have said the same thing in other threads. In the Medellin thread people swear that that streetwalkers' families have seen them standing around soliciting people on obscure videos placed on youtube by a foreigner. What are the chances? If not zero, then way close to zero.

I live in Pattaya and have never watched such videos that people are talking about here. As Cusland said, I live it, no need to sit around and watch other people's take on it. I also have not watched any gardening videos and would not sit and watch them for hours on end because I am not interested in gardening. Likewise, I most certainly do not have any friends and family that are going to waste hours of their lives watching shit they are not interested in (eg Pattaya bar crawl videos), thoroughly inspecting it enough to just happen to see me in 2 seconds of it.

I see more 600-800 baht ads on twitter from the same type of girls that normally ask 1500-2000 from tourists. This is the prices directed at the local market. Not these rip-off tourist prices of 2000-3000 baht etc.

The increase of this ads can be a sign that there a few customers and prices are heading down. I also want to inform readers about the prices local thaimen pay when it comes to the price you should pay. Should a tourist really pay 1500-2000 if a Thai pays 600-700?

Just a positive slant on this true comment. The "shock" is a good one. If you are a guy who likes a LOT of options, the land of smiles has a lot of them. If optics (beauty) are important then you'll be disappointed. Finding gems amongst a lot of average to below average girls is not that easy. But them gems are out there. I was criticised in this forum last October for commenting on a 10/10 in a gents club. High Rollers. I'm actually very picky, and in now 30 years of mongering I've maybe rated 4 or 5 girls as true 10's. So I don't bandy high ratings easily. But there was that one. So much so that VERY unusually for me (I like to savour the choices having been in several bars / clubs in one evening), I saw this girl and was no longer interested in any other that night.

What is SO good about Pattaya are the mongering options. From the agogos of WS and elsewhere, enjoying the shows, to the Gents Clubs, afternoon offerings, BJ bars, normal bars with a lot of WGs to even street walkers and then of course the soapies and "normal" massage places. The options abound. If, like me, you are now sadly past the stage where your refractory period is only 20 minutes, so can have 3,4 or more shots in a session or even a day, the options here make for difficult choices. Had I been coming to this place 25 years ago I suspect I would have engaged in 3 or more of those activities daily! But I'm a two pops max per day older guy now. But that also makes Pattaya excellent. Nice massage / soapie after a workout in the daytime, ready for evening and change of scene to GCs or other bar options for a longer session. You'll love it.

All that said, there isn't a lot else to do unless you like scooters, shopping malls, or playing pool! As I typed that I'm thinking "what are you talking about"? Standard day for me in Pattaya. Long walk before breakfast, eat, relax, gentle stroll to Centre Point 21 or a market, bit of shopping, maybe a foot massage. Nothing naughty. Just to relieve the feet. Workout before lunch. Eat, swim, sunbathe, afternoon Gents club, bit of pool, early evening non-naughty professional massage for peanuts when the sun is going down, hotel, shower, ready for the night, dinner, visits to the some of the hundreds of bars / agogos / clubs / bit of live music, selection and sleep. Had far far worse options / trips.

You'll love that "shock" of Pattaya.
