Sorry for what might seem a stupid question, but based on a few recent reports on experiences in the High end Soapies like Maria's, Poseidon etc I now have my doubts, if anyone in the know has a moment to clarify.

I assumed that the main feature in the high-end soapies is that you get lathered up with soap in the shower or bath and then have a good frolic on a inflatable mat on the floor covered in soap?

However on the recent reports posted here, it sounds like they just offer a pretty standard massage / FS service very similar to the run of the mill "oily" massage shops on Sukhumvit road and the likes of Soi33 etc etc.

If that's the case, it doesn't really sound if it's worth the extra expense and time these days, especially if you only have a short time in Bangkok?

Am I understanding correctly what they offer these days?

There is an old hag of a waitress in Spankys who is a bit pushy. She usually stands near the shower cubicle. Keeps giving you dirty looks if you don't order lady drinks or sit too long with one drink.

Rates at 102 Massage on Soi 24 was about 3 K for 1 hour of nuru massage. Be sure to select from the line up wisely as some of them appear to be starfish once in the room. Plenty of other massage shops of similar variety surrounding 102.

A throwaway comment. If the professional girls, (ones with some years of experience), seem to go more easily with the old men I think I have a reason. When I was a young man, several times in an evening was not a problem. But now that I am MUCH older, one good session (maybe a second with an exceptional girl), is usually it. All barfines at Nana are 1000 b, as mentioned umpteen times previously. Girl rates run between 2 and 5 k for ST. Lady drinks are 200.

That is a factor for many girls. Been here 4 days now and so far no luck in finding a.

Playmate did try Suk on Friday but not much around.

Because of the rain. Did try a massage on Silom but massage was hurried.

Just back from a short 4 nights trip to BKK & I enjoyed myself very much. My very first time to BKK. A special thanks to forum user "Pulse0101" for many of his helpful posts.

Stayed at a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Visited Spanky's gogo almost every night and bar fined 2 different girls on separate occasions, 102 massage on Sukhumvit 24 and another MP across it and had a lovely time with a young cutie.
