With these recent incidents it's just a good reminder to always remember you're a guest in their country so follow and mold to their ways.

I've never had any issues in Thailand due to tbe following:

I don't drink.

I don't stay out late at night.

I smile and say no thank you when someone is trying to sell me something (motorbike taxi offering ride, bar girls, etc).

If I'm ever in a dispute about $, I'll pay the difference as it would be negligible anyways. But I have never had a dispute about $ yet.

Getting mad over minor things that are out of your control is just going to ruin your holiday. Maintain sobriety and a positive attitude. Don't let the humidity and heat and the feeling of being a walking ATM to Thais get to you; remember it's your holiday so enjoy it.

A few nights ago, one livestreamer (Korean) has been beaten up by two Thai men on beach road and left with a broken nose.

One of the Thai guy plus the livestreamer has been fined 1 K bahts.

Where about soi buakhow as it is pretty long?

It's listed as Darun Barber and Salon on Google maps. Between Treetown and Pattaya Klang (Central Rd). Left side of Bukhao going north from Treetown. It's where Bukhao curves sharply to the left as you go north. There is a sister shop next door called Barun Barber Shop. Both shops operate as one. Please let us know if you get this done and how it went.

As a male farang in Thailand, safety 101 dictates you never get into it with Thais because there will be a decent chance you get jumped by a group of guys and end up in the hospital or worse dead.

A buddy brought me to Thailand for my first visit and that was the first thing he ever taught me. If you have a legal right to do something, it really doesn't matter when you are on the receiving end of punches and kicks.

Can't say I have any sympathy for the Korean guy. YTers and live streamers are the scourge of Thailand. Just too many of them constantly video recording at this point. If someone asks them not to record them they should be nice enough to not do so instead of agitating them more. The police should have booted this Korean out of the country.
