After covid first time going to Bangkok and Pattaya from tmw for 10 days. Any suggestions on where to pick freelancers for ST and LT. Will keep you posted all my experiences.

She stands firm. What did I do? Like a total idiot I walk away. Over a pathetic 500 THB which is about 13 euros!! What a fool I was.

It is all well and good local mongers saying "don't come here flashing your money you will push the prices up". I obviously understand that if everyone had the 2 week millionaire mentality it would push prices up everywhere for everyone. Not good. Some respect is necessary for the greater good of all. But balance is needed here. It is easy to get wrapped up with what the local price should be when in instead, the sensible monger (you and your friends were) should switch into Im in a candy shop with really cheap prices mentality and exploit that to the full to have a total party/ capitalise on incredibly inexpensive pussy available.

I returned to Soi 6 once I had given my head a wobble determined to find that pretty girl and offer her 6000 for LT (which would still have been crazy cheap) but of course I didn't find her at all during the rest of that trip. Oh sure lots of other (good options) but I forfeited a peach for a measly few bahts/euros.

I return to the Land of Smiles in a few weeks and I will not be haggling over 13 euros, nor for that matter over 53 euros.

Get to Thailand if a tourist and just feast on the low cost opportunities.
Find the girl (s) you think are the best for you, whatever shape or size (happily we are all different in our tastes or otherwise there would not be many girls available!) and pay a good price to secure great service. Have firmly in mind what the same service in other parts of the World would cost. That latter part means for me, in a few weeks time, I will have a totally different mentality this time and will not haggle once. The options in Thailand are many, cost a fraction of what the same costs nearly anywhere else in the World and I fully intend to have that in mind when making my selections and tipping generously for great service.

I can never understand why people compare prices in their home country, or Dubai for example to Pattaya. The average wages and cost of living are worlds apart.

Its true that it is only a 500 baht difference but once everyone accepts that, then they will ask for 2500 then 3000 and so on.

Penny wise pound foolish or penny foolish pound wise. For me one has to invest. Either you invest in time and chat them up for days before the trip (TF / baddoo / bumble / Tinder) and there are high chances you can score for free or take another route. Invest in TB pay the asking and do justice to your evening and do it your way. Always get good service. Don't be a cheap charlie, for heavens sake drink one less pint and get what you deserve, give it a thought!
