Posts: 720Guessing you're paying for the location. Judging by the YT vids I have seen of this hotel, doesn't seem worth it to me, but again I'm guessing the location is why it's priced as is.

I stayed at the Blackwoods hotel on Soi 7 for the first time and really enjoyed it. It's a newer hotel and the price is reasonable. About $60.00 usd a night. Not only is breakfast included but so are the drinks and snacks left in the room. Basically two sodas and potato chips and rice crackers. House keeping was on top of things. I would go to breakfast and by the time I went back up to brush my teeth, the room was done. Laundry was cheap. For one tee shirt the cost was $40 baht. In Bangkok, for the same tee shirt the cost was $178 baht. Location was great for me. About a 10-15 minute walk to Soi 6. 15-20 minute walk to LK Metro. Easy access to the baht bus for a trip to Walking Street. This has become my favorite hotel in Pattaya.

Posts: 1You enter lobby with either QR code or key card, the lobby didn't ask any questions. It's not staffed at night either. So you can come and go with who ever you want.

Wave hotel on Beach road looks quirky with good rooms, nice pool and is close to everything.
Stayed in Hilton many times but the need to take two different lifts to bedrooms is really annoying.
Would appreciate any feedback on Wave. GF? Etc.

Posts: 175Does anyone have anything specifically BAD to say about two hotels that I'm considering booking early next year?
Best Beach Villa on Soi 5, and Sea Me Spring Hotel on Soi 10.

Posts: 2809Centara hotel (opposite Soi 6)
Could someone who's been there tell me something about the beds in this hotel? I like soft beds. Also, what about the pool?
Altera down the same street has the kind of beds I liked but I found the swimming pool not that great (too little privacy among other things).

Galaxy suites on top do Heaven above gogo used to be an awesome place to stay. It's literally on the walking street. Not sure if they still operate now.

Dear Seniors,
I am coming in the beginning of September and will have to work from 18:00-03:30.
I need WiFi for ZOOM / G-Meet / facetime. I do not need movies / large file downloads, but latency is important.
Needless to say, I am looking for girls-friendly places (hotels / apts). 6 years ago, I stayed at a wonderful place which did not let visitors leave and got their cards before I oked their departure from my phone in the room or personally escort them out. But it was too much noise at night (I did not care then). So LK Empress sounds like a winner, except where did they take 20+ policy? Why not 18+??
Also I am not limited to Pattaya -- I would be happy to take a nice, attentive girl-friend for a vacation, but I have no idea how to find such a person. I am not successful in mobile apps, as people misrepresent themselves, so references would be greatly appreciated -- Please PM, if you can.

Posts: 282Stayed 7 nights at the LK Empress.
Overall: very good breakfast with huge variety, no issues with girls (except 1 , who was 19 on ID but they don't allow under 20's).
Rooms and bed very good standard (I was in king Suite).
Location convenient to all places.
Only bad thing: balcony. I specifically wanted one and thiers was tiny, with a hot ac extractor making it impossible to sit there) see pic.

Posts: 2035My last stay at LK the Empress was 2017 and the floors were so highly polished that they were dangerous slippery wearing socks. I almost injured myself from that. A month later my friend stayed there and he had the same impression.
