This is absolutely true Combo. Brazil is not safe by any means and maybe even more dangerous than Colombia in terms of homicides and violent crimes. I have been going there for 15 years and my long term girlfriend was from there. I know several Brazilians and they are scared in Rio at night and in Sao Paolo and warn to stay vigilant. Just google Good Night Cinderella drug in Brazil and you will see stories of sex workers who drug guys, rob them, and there have been deaths as well. Also, muggings at knife or gun point will occur (happened to her twice). My friend had his cell phone pick pocketed the first time he went with me. Many cities in Brazil make the worlds top dangerous cities list every year along with Mexico and the justice system is so broken, bankrupt that criminals know they will get out of violent crime soon if they pay a fine. Please stop giving false hopes to others Tijuana Brazil.

Also gents, please see the links below. Medellin did not even make it in the top 50 most dangerous cities in the world, Cali Colombia made it to number 24. You will see more cities in the USA, and Brazil that made the list and of course Mexican cities by far outnumber the rest.

After snapping a couple quick ones I had the phone at waste level to text a few and a thief grabbed it (while it was in my hands). I had both hands on it so we tussled and I yelled thief (in English). One of his accomplices then tackled me to the ground and said I was the thief!! The other locals weren't sure until they could clearly tell I was a tourist. They then grabbed the first thief, but by then he had handed off the phone to someone else who dissapeared into the crowd. They ruffed him up a bit, but that was it.

Overall I was very surprised by how brazen and coordinated the thievery is in Brazil. It wasn't pickpocketing, it was straight up grabbing and then having someone else pull you away. Watch yourself!
You just proved my point. You were robbed because you were an idiot. Why would you bring a iPhone to Brazil. You know how much it's worth in that country with the huge tariffs they charge. Don't you rtff. You bring an old beater smartphone or buy a cheap brand like Blu for 50 to 100 bucks and let it go if someone grabs it. You could have been stabbed.

Everytime I read a story about someone being robbed it's always the tourist doing something dumb. The guy that I met that walked around at 2 am with a iPod, or the guy that brought all his electronics to Brazil: laptop, iPhone, tons of cash and someone broke into his apartment rental and took everything. Sure, I always take my iMac downstairs for breakfast, so everyone can see me, and when I get back, lock my things in the room and expect nothing bad to happen. LOL.

There is a reason I haven't been robbed in 20 years of mongering. I keep all valuables home and never rent apartments or air bnb.

    La Isla and Fase II

I've recently visited multiple times both places.

    La Isla:

Much much bigger than Fase II, however it was weird that I went twice and once I saw really many beautiful girls, and second time really bad ones, literally I didn't like any of them 2nd time I went. I don't like the waitress there, especially one guy at the bar, very unpleasant. I had only one session there (when I went first time) and I have to say that session was very good, however only 1 shot was possible. Girl was brunet, I would rate her 8-9.

Prices generally are higher than in Fase II, either drinks and session with girl. Good thing however about this place is that girls are rotating there, unlike at Fase II.

Oh what I didn't like also is that if you don't buy bottle, there is no place to sit.

    Fase II:

I visited this place like 5 times so far, it's smaller than La Isla but I think general design and vibe is much much better, I sesioned there with 3 girls. I recommend you guys stick to the ones that have bikini where belly is visible unless you want girl that has post-pregnant belly.

Girls are beautiful there, however they are not rotating, I see almost the same girls every time I go there.

The waiters are sooo much nicer, prices are lower and you can sit down at the bar even if you buy just a drink or water.

Overall I prefer Fase II much more than La Isla.

BTW. Do you know any clubs like these 2 mentioned above that are also kind of higher-end?

Should I go to the Brazil forums to find Medellin content?

They are in Cancun, Tulum, Mexico city and Tijuana. Some of the 8-10's are only available on IG and just work through referrals and already have a steady stream of sponsors.

There are down market strip clubs in Centro and higher end strip clubs in the neighborhoods surrounding El Poblado. You can have sessions on site or pay big to bring them to where you are staying. If the Mansion angle is about someone to speak English to you or gringos to hang around with then it's best to just go to Lleras.

The real difference is that Lleras Park will have from 50 to 70 girls depending on the time of the night whereas the Mansion is very hit or miss with having from only a few girls to a max. Peak of a dozen or so. No comparison.

The level of violence in Brazil are things you only see in movies, and Colombia is no where near that bad, so think again LOL.

She said you could be in a Taxi right out of the airport, and moto gangster will drive by the taxi w guns and rob you and the driver while you're at a stop light. In fact not only she broke it down to me, I also read and watched many taxi drivers now enhenced their cars to be bullet proof LOL. Yeah I know, I laughed also thinking it couldn't be that bad it is. You have drivers with bullet proof cars so that they can transport the tourist in peace from the Airport or around. I think once you're in the city and blend in and no one knows you then it's fine. But I hear both Rio and Sau Paulo we should stay away from. I'm still going to go, just sharing a story.

That kind of stuff make Colombia look ok still. If we control our little head in our pants for the most part we'll be alright in Col.
Your friend sounds clueless. Number one, Brazilian taxi drivers don't stop at red lights. Red stands for recommend to stop in Brazil. 2) no taxi driver could afford to bullet proof their car. Most ridiculous thing I ever heard. I heard all those crazy type stories about Colombia. The only real threat to you in Colombia is scoping or someone breaking into your Airbnb or apartment.

Problem with the mansion is I heard they have been robbed a few times. Maybe someone else can chime in on how many but you won't have to worry about that at a hotel. That place is a sitting duck for armed robbers.

    2. Spanish is a useful language in almost every country in Central and South America and the Caribbean, as well as Spain.

I've been told by people who I trust that Brazil is much better, but when the quality in the clubs and the scoping incidents generally don't concern me, and when I have excellent reasons to return to Colombia, it's not an easy sell.
The extra flight hours is worth it. My last trip to Medellin was a real dud. Can't say the same for my Brazil trip. I've never been robbed by a motorcycle gang. Although my next trip I arrive at like 1 am. First time leaving the airport that late at night. I hope nothing happens other than no traffic which will be awesome.
