The amount of currency that has to be declared is 10 K Reais, not 10 K USD or equivalent. That confuses a lot of people because it's USD in the rest of Latin America.

Posts: 292Yes it's 10 K USD or the equivalent but I wouldn't roll them up in bundles and make it look weird. Or just wait over there and convert it or get it from an ATM.

When I went to Berlin and Montreal the guys at the immigration station asked why I wanted to come and I said tourism but they checked my bags because I guess they know how much of a dump their cities are and couldn't believe such lies!
They just found my camera and other touristy stuff and let me go.
A girl from rio that I know was going to meet her BF in Germany and work on the side and they stopped her and dumped her bag and found tons of condoms. They kicked her out.
It's not illegal to have over 100 packs of condoms but they connected the dots.
Technically you can carry large sums of cold hard cash with you in your car but if the police stop you they can confiscate the money thru the DEA and claim it's drug money even if you have all the paperwork. Doesn't matter.

This is just one example of some guy carrying all his life savings in his car because he doesn't trust banks and had to get lawyers to get it back and only got a percentages of it back.
Always stay on your toes so the alphabet boys don't get ya slackin'.

Posts: 6Thanks for all the responses
Apparently I can not get PM's yets so could you answer here?
For the google guy (there is one on every forum), I have spent hours looking at this forum and below are the questions I have been unable to find.
Rank of Termas (1 being best etc).
Average price for FS?
Which Termas do the bath towel thing, which don't (seems nasty as some other punter may have left some fecal on the robe) ?
Best massage places in order?
Any places to specifically avoid that have been tainted by overpaying tourist?
Is it impossible at Termas to negotiate price?
Have you ever been able to pull out chicas from Termas for the weekend (I am reading Sat / Sun for some reason is a no fly zone- Seems strange)?

Posts: 6Thanks for the advice and I have spent literally horus on the forum without finding
Answers to those direct questions. Do you think telling me to "google it" somehow is helpful and proves how knowledgeable you are?
Do yourself a favor and if you have some helpful answers provide them if not why pipe up?

Posts: 1354Assuming you are entering the US, you would only have to declare if you exceed the EQUIVALENT of $10 k USD. So if you're entering the US with leftover reais and have more than roughly 48,500 reais (4. 85 fx rate), then you're required to declare it. I can guarantee you that.

Now coming into Brazil, the amount is much lower. I'm fairly sure their limit is 10,000 reais. Which means you would need to declare any amount over roughly $2,060 US dollars. I'm not quite as confident in that limit so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Posts: 1173Can you guys clarify something. A BM here said if you bring 10 k dollars in currency to the US, you have to claim it, even if it's a foreign currency. 10000 reals is worth 2000 dollars. The immigration website says $10000 or its foreign equivalent, which should mean the foreign currency needs to be worth 10 k in dollars. I shouldn't have to claim 10 k in Reals.

Posts: 1354Day 4 - Prisma (again) and 4 x4 (again)
Long story short, because I'm tired and a little borracho. Jajaja.
Went to Prisma. Booked with Andreza. Highly recommend. I've learned that at Prisma, depending on the girl, anything is negotiable. You can see Andreza's photos on the site. She's even more attractive in person. Maybe a little darker skinned than anticipated but that only added to her allure. Long start short, Prisma is not an inexpensive option for FS. And ymmv. But I left veru satisfied. I will add, my first experience with Mychelle was extremely limited. But since then. I have been thrilled with the service, the value, and the beauty.
Not much new to report at 4 x 4. I had way too much fun. The talent tonight was even better than Tuesday. My new amiga said Wednesdays are usually a really good day. I'm such an a-hole though. My amiga leaves and I can't help myself. I had to have her bff in the club. Our little secret. Hahaha. I've become a big fan of 4 x4. It's a low pressure place that you don't mind spending money. The staff is fantastic. Debating whether or not to return there for a 3rd straight night or try my luck at Solarium.

So I decided to try Solarium after reading all the hype.
I loathe the fact that these weird lunatics insist you put on a robe. So stupid awkward and uncomfortable. But I wanted to get some pussy tonight so I obliged.
Walked upstairs and it was somewhat om a madhouse. Mostly old dudes. I was one of the youngest if not the youngest guys in there. I was a little disappointed by what I saw when it came to quality of the girls but a few minutes in I saw a petite little hottie in a purple bikini style outfit and called her over. Was absolutely ecstatic to see she actually spoke really good English which I found incredible. Really liked her. She said she doesn't drink alcohol so I ordered a red bull for her and we got a small room. The larger rooms were apparently unavailable, which she showed me when we left the room.
Anyway, I really liked the girl. Sweet, charming, somewhat intellectual, in between fuck sessions we talked a lot about everything, some philosophical stuff. I felt really lucky to pick such a cool chick who just happened to speak damn near perfect English. I fucked her mouth and pussy in all kinds of positions and it was a blast. Ordered whisky drinks to the room and they delivered.
I tipped her 100 reals because she was such a sweetie, sorry guys I couldn't help it. Paid my tab, even the dude at the front desk was super cool. Aside from it being so crowded and kind of small in the main area, I give the place 2 thumbs up. Pretty much all old dudes, I saw a lot of people in there looking like they were just sitting there taking their time, which I found interesting. I just wanted to be in, pick a girl, and be out, as quickly as possible.
Solarium is solid IMO but I think the quality of girls at Centaurus is higher. I have noticed it seems not many people post much about Centaurus is there any reason for that? Everyone is always talking about Solarium, Monte Carlo, Eden or 4 X4. IMO Centaurus has been the best place I've visited yet.
I really hate having to put on the stupid Goddamn robe. So awkward ugh.

Posts: 648These tactics work only during initial 1 or 2 visits. After that most men adopt and probably leave quickly if they don't see anything interesting. I think these clubs are very short sighted and foolish to employ these pressure tactics as it discourages men from staying in the club longer and spending money on food and drinks.

Posts: 4237My advice is study the forum before asking 8 standard questions. The forum search functions works well. "Cocoa cabanna" was a new one.

Posts: 6Will Report Back. Some info First for a Newbile
Been to the DR a bunch Thailand AMS back in the Golden gilder days. First foray into south America, any general advice for a hobbyist trying new things culture wise? For the experts how would you rate the termas in order surrounding cocoa cabanna it seems like 4 x4 gets the best ratings here (Talent vs $$ wise)? Average price for FS? Which Termas do the bath towel thing, which don't (seems nasty as some other punter may have left some fecal on the robe) ?Best massage places in order? Any places to specifically avoid that have been tainted by overpaying tourist? Is it impossible at Termas to negotiate price?
