Posts: 2035I can't answer with certainty, but my USA friend went through a different immigration section than his Thai wife.

Posts: 1363I seem to recall something about if you were traveling with a Thai you could go through immigration with them in the Thai lanes.

Posts: 2035I've never before noticed a priority section at BKK airport immigration. I've always just gone through the standard immigration lines, which have never taken more than about an hour. What are the qualifications to use the priority section? Over 65? Business class? Pay some sort of extra fee in advance?

Edit: I answered my own question with a little Google search, perhaps others can benefit from this information:
https://bangkokairporttrain.com/fast-track-immigration-pass/#:~:text=Both%20the%20Fast%20Track%20Lane,price%20of%20your%20plane%20ticket.%20)
"This is something thats rarely mentioned online. But there are large signs at the entrance to Premium / Priority Immigration areas. These state that pregnant women, infants, people with disabilities and anyone over 70 years old are among those permitted to use the lanes. No VIP pass or other documentation is required. Whats more if you are part of a family that is travelling with an infant, everyone in the family can use the Priority lane. Likewise if you are accompanying older relatives or a family member who is in a wheelchair, for example."

You are correct, thanks for jogging my memory as to its name. It's a fast, nice service for seniors. I don't recall this lane being discussed on this forum.

Posts: 5087To be clear, it is labeled "Priority", and you have to go through the Thai passport area first.

Posts: 175Had a flight booked with Fin Air for the middle of February. Two nice 12 hour flights and a very short layover. They canceled one of my flights and moved it forward 3 days, and gave me a 53 hour layover. YEA NO. Rescheduled so that I leave later, have a 9 hour layover in JFK airport instead. Think that might be better as I really dread layovers that are only a little more than an hour long. At least I'm staying stateside for that time.
Still deciding on what hotels to get. 99% sure I'm going to go with On8 in BKK, and then split my stay in Pattaya between something on soi 5, and something on soi 10 or soi diana.

I will be heading to Thailand mid December. I always take the Costco size whiskey bottle with me which is more than one liter that's is allowed, I will make sure to stay within the limit.

Posts: 1212Immigration Line for Seniors
Speaking of immigration lines I noticed there is a separate line for seniors to use on my last two trips. It's to the far right as you are approaching all of the immigration entry lines. It may be the same line used for flight crews, I'm not sure. But it is there and it was faster than the other lines.

Posts: 1340Foreigners luggages X-ray checked at Suvarnabhumi airport
People who like to bring alcohol or tobacco in their luggages (more than allowed), beware I've had my luggages X-ray checked on arrival on Friday evening.
They did it with every foreigners around me at that time.
It's been the first time I've had my luggage checked, every other times I would see them checking only Thai nationals or people that look like Thais.
Passing the immigration was smooth, around twenty minutes wait, only baggage claim was a bit long.
I was surprised to see the Airport express link was empty too, normally I arrive in early morning, the moment I reach Makasan the train is full, not this time.
Feel good to be in Bkk again.

Posts: 6734The condo will have cleaning staff clean for you or refer you to a housekeeper. I used to pay my condo 300 baht and they sent multiple people to spotlessly clean my room in an hour. This was in 2019 pre-COVID though so not sure if prices now 500 baht.

Posts: 5087Bargirls don't care about the reality of the situation. All they care about is keeping a customer. So, if you go with them, afterwards, you are "their" customer, at least for their bar.
