In the real world, individuals that still have semblance of their bounded rationality in tact, find an another method to purchase items when faced with unfavorable market conditions. But this is not the real world, this is Pattaya. Where individuals arrive with condoms in one pocket, THB in the other and a blood stream full of 200 grams of their favorite ED meds. My solution to all of the problems I read about currently going on in the bars is to simply avoid bar fines.

Speaking of that, two nights ago contacted a girl from Thai Friendly. She accepted my offer of 1000ST along with my performance conditions. Arrived within 30 minutes. She accepted my offer of a drink and picked what she wanted from the full bar I maintain. I mixed it up. I am an excellent bartender and she is a smart girl. She watched me make her drink. After the drink she hit the bathroom and came out naked. The performance was off the chain. Gave her a 100 THB tip. No fuss. No mess (except for the one I made and she cleaned up) and no bar fines.

So, this morning to see if it was just a one off I invited her over again. Same 30 minute arrival time. Same off the chain performance, but different. 1100 THB. Once again no bar fines. She has made the team in a back up roll. More tryouts tonight.

I have run into attractive girls off of Thai Friendly that tell me I will accept my 1000 offer but I need to give them another 300,500 to pay their bar. I always politely decline and tell them to get with me in their off hours. I don't see why I should pay extra for something that does nothing for me. There is an individual that questions giving money to girls for nothing. Paying a bar fine is giving the owners of a bar money for nothing. You don't even get a drink with it. Now, I pay a subscription fee for Thai Friendly. But there is an entire website infrastructure that they have built. In my opinion the bar system is exploitive of the girls and I will not participate. No further than buying a drink for an attractive girl that chooses to sit with me. There may be biases. I solve them by leaving the premises. The most power vote the world over is the vote with your money and your feet. No tears being shed for any bar owner. Many of whom (in my opinion) are problem using the establishment to launder money.

Honestly I don't get the entire bar scene. I don't particularly like it. Even though I really like to drink. And for the fools giving advice about drinking and liver damage they making stupid comments. Your liver is designed to process 1 oz of alcohol an hour. It is what a liver does, process impurities out of your blood. If you are really concerned about your liver you should watch the fatty intake of foods. As a liver builds up fat within it, is loses it's ability to process blood. That is the real killer. And you liver does not lose the fat deposits once it has them. Do your homework before spouting off bullshit that is not true. You don't believe me, look up how foie gras is made.

I made sure to read a bunch about Bangkok and pattaya before making my plans so thanks everyone. I'm planning on a 6 day trip to Pattaya from Feb 16 to Feb 22. I'm currently deciding between staying at Talay 6 or LK the empress, they seem like they'd give good access to Terminal 21 and walking street so I could get to a bit of everything. I'm worried about my timing, wondering if anyone thinks my current timeline would be out of high season. It's tough negotiating with my job and a decently priced flight. I'd be landing in Bangkok too, but I'd be able to take a two hour bus or train to Pattaya. It's been fun planning my google doc with all the info. But yeah if you see something glaringly wrong with my plan please let me know. I'm also happy to scope a place out that someone's curious about or wants an update on, I'll add it to the list.

It's easy thinking being central in Pattaya is best but actually because transport (every kind) is so cheap, if I were you I would spend three of your 6 nights in Wave hotel on beach road. Very central and a really nice hotel, and the other 3 in Pratumnak. Its close to Jomtien but peanuts to get to from everywhere in Pattaya but Pratumnak is high end compared to anywhere in central Pattaya. Lovely area to be in during daytimes and Jomtien beach is far better than the beach at Pattaya. You'll get bike taxis, bhat bus or bolt cabs to everything in the centre for a pittance. I won't make the mistake on my next trip of spending more than a couple of nights amongst the din of the main city area when there are some spots so much nicer very close.

Now I'm a bit perplexed, not understanding the growing negative commentary about the quality and availability of girls on Soi 6.

I've seen a post just recently about Beam and one other, they are OK, but nothing sensational to me.

So please help me out.

These two girls, both 20, giggly, mid height, slim, shapely and slightly toned bodies, no fate anywhere, no babies, perfect pert be cups, perfect skin, some small tattoos.

Oh, and as at middle of September when I met them, they were still very fresh and happy, as had been there working just a month.

I'm not one to criticize the looks of people whose photos or other clear identifiable indicators such as typical attire, tag numbers and location are posted on a public forum. So only positive comments from me, that being I would agree with you they land somewhere around a 7. That is, a bargirl 7. Higher than the photo I saw of Beam.

Compared to non bargirls, maybe they are a 6. 5 at best. But they could be solid 8's compared to most Soi 6 bargirls. Assuming they match those photos in real life. And full body photos might change my mind as well.

Now, as you know for me the ranking of any P4 P girl is greatly influenced by what they will or won't agree to do for me in bed. So if those girls agreed upfront to DFK and BBFS+CIP or at least BBBJ+CIM for me, they would rank a more solid 8 in my book.

However, if they refused to do that for me, I would consider one Ladydrink each to have been a waste of my time and money and my sexual interest view of them would be no different than that of a potted plant. I don't think I have ever given a potted plant a rank any higher than a 1.

My Aunt Tilda had a pretty cute one on her window sill. But even that one could not get a 1. 5 ranking out of me even at the height of my puberty phase.

It would informative to know if the same death spiral is starting to happen in Pattaya. Specifically, Koreans paying top dollar, and making Pattaya too expensive for everyone else.

It would play out a little different as Pattaya and Angeles are only similar in their purpose. Main differences are that there is really no need to go to Angeles once it started to get ruined due to the fact there's many other parts of Philippines to find girls in. Pretty much every part due to language easiness etc. Many just gave up on Angeles when Covid hit and didn't return. Whereas I know in Thailand there are some options but Pattaya does dominate that scene. There's a lot of money in Pattaya and it's not only Korean. Westerners are spending a lot too and more are coming. Whether that's a good or bad thing is yet to be seen.

2. Lower barfines = Empty agogos what would hurt their drinking business.

3. Higher barfines = more chicks in the gogo, more attractive for customers, more drinking revenue.

A model makes about 20.000/10 days these days. With a 50 drink quota minimum (200 for a drink to make things easy).

50 x200 = 10.000 in drinks (revenue not profit). Barfine 1 k? That would be 10 k MAX (10 day contract) = 20 K. Basically meaning they are not making much money of the girl to justify the 20 K salary.

The owner (France dude) of Pinup told me his place would be empty if he lowered the barfine to precovid numbers before 10 pm.

The argument always comes up. But the Salaries are so high.

Just a quick check and I found there are all ready more direct flights between Seoul / Inchon airport (18) to Bangkok, than Clark (3) and Manila (10) combined. So the Koreans already like Thailand. Just wonder if they bring their families to Thailand and use the Philippines for parties?

I suspect the policy you cited varies from bar to bar.

If I were a customer who rang the bell, I would not be happy if the bar allocated my money to people not in the bar. Come to think of it, some people might ring the bell when they see there aren't many bargirls in the bar at that moment, and would not want to have to shell out cash for the ladies who are upstairs, or ran out to buy food, or are out smootching with their boyfriend, or maybe don't exist.

I talk about a Nightwish bar on soi 6, and given that they applie the same policy in all their bars, that's how it works in more than half of the soi.

I suspect that non-Nightwish bars do the same too, because it is in the favor of the bar's business.

Did you ever ring the bell? I never did it but I was there numerous time when these guys did it. They don't look around and count how many girls are around before ringing the bell, they know very well they are blowing some cash. Most of the time, there are well more than fifteen girls in the bar when they're doing this, no way they are going to check their bill one by one, especially when you know they are most of the time drunk when they do it.

And as I said earlier, it's in the favor of the bar to do it that way, it helps both the business and the girls, they would be stupid to not do it that way.

Well its obvious you don't run a gogo. I do the math for you.

I do in THB.

Let's say a gogo has 100 ladies. According to YOUR calculations they could have a MAX revenue of 2. 000 THB*100 = THB 200.000 a day.

In reality on average girls are barfined 1-2 times during their contract. SO that's 20%.

20% of 200.000 = 40.000 THB a day.

Your 200.000 THB a day only works if ALL ladies are barfined ALL the time. And who walks into an Gogo with not many ladies?

See the problem with your theory?

They do have 100 ladies working with a drink target of 5-6 a day. 200 THB a drink.

100 * 5 = 500 drinks * 200 THB = 100.000 THB a DAY.

Thats half of your target of 200 K.

Thats excluding ALL drinks for customers themselves.

Thats excluding all drinks ABOVE their target (if a lady not meet her drink target she pays for the drinks in full!

Thats excluding revenue from barfines (estimated at 40 K a night).

So how they operate now. Thats 100 K in drinks, 40 K in barfines. 140 K.

In your case to get 140 K (out of the 200 K revenue from barfines) = 70% barfine rate.

Not going to happen.
