Its not a problem, I reviewed the FAQ section just this morning and it doesn't specifically have a rule against posting a phone number it just says email address, spam, links to competing websites. The problem is that when I posted a phone number my post got deleted and when you posted a phone number it was fine. That is the problem. The fact that the admin are biased towards me and cherry pick what they allow me to post even if it is not violating any rule.

He sent the PM and gave alternate contact information. Makes sense. It gives you the option of contacting him and either discussing your differences privately, or setting up a time and place to meet in person. And that's exactly what you should have done.

Why pick Aranjuez? Other than its convenience to you. Was it because you figured nobody would be brave enough to venture there? If you're serious, there are hundreds of bars, coffee shops or other public spots to sit down with another person and discuss your differences, all more easily accessible for people who have less experience in Medellin.

I'm speaking from experience. I've met up with guys in Medellin who I've had a prior beef with (or the appropriate vegan beef substitute). Turns out, once you get off the keyboard and away from the internet chest bumping, most guys turn out to be alright.

This is my understanding of how admins make decisions about specific posts and members.

1. When you first join your posts all require admin approval. After a set period of time and a certain number of posts, you come off the moderation list and your posts will immediately appear.

2. If you post something which violates the forum rules (or which an admin decides violates the rules), the post is either redacted (posted, with all content removed with an admin message), or deleted.

3. If you violate the rules your posts are placed back on moderation (requiring admin approval).

4. Too many violations in a short period of time can result in your account being banned.

5. Some serious violations can result in an immediate ban. Posting an email address, or making a credible threat are 2 of the serious violations.

I've been on moderation for 4 or 5 years now and at least once was close to being banned. If you posted a photo with another members phone number, consider yourself lucky you didn't get banned.

Just for the record, at least once before you offered to meet someone to settle your differences and they refused. When you call someone out, be aware that some guys will call your bluff.

I think they don't want to ban me because even through all this bullshit beef, I do post valuable information from time to time. I even have newbies in my PMs asking me for information. Just last night some guy PM'd me asking me for information about Santa Fe in Bogota.

Back in June I had gotten really pissed off and even messaged the admins asking to have my account deleted, I was really that pissed off. I messaged them thru PMs and on the form for reporting a post various times over several days asking for my account to be deleted and they completely ignored my request. Finally after a few days I decided I didn't want my account deleted after all.

Or atleast moved the posts into here. But the admins of this site are lazy and do a lousy job; they are also biased as to what they allow to be posted. And they won't allow you to delete your account and posts either. Don't believe me? Look for an option to delete account like on any other social media, it's not there. It says in the FAQ that you have to PM them and ask to be deleted but even if you do do that they just ignore you. That may be grounds for litigation as there are privacy laws in regards to allowing users to delete there accounts but that isn't what we are discussing here is it?

Although I don't know how to do it, it is possible to get the admins to delete your account and all of your posts. I know of at least one person who has done it. There was also an incident several years ago, if I remember correctly, which resulted in several accounts, all associated PMs and posts being deleted. Apparently, some guys were using ISG (or USASG) to exchange information on illegal activities.

Getting your account deleted is easy. First, post something in a regular thread which you know will get blocked and get you an infraction warning. Then, quote the redacted post and argue with the admins over the decision. If this doesn't get you banned, it will probably get you an email from Jackson or one of the admins. The email will say something to the effect that you fucked up and that you're 1 more mistake away from being banned. It will also tell you that any response will get you banned. Yes, I'm speaking from experience. Simply reply to the email with your opinion about the admins. Account deleted.

Of course the easy thing to do is just stop visiting the site.

Although I've had more than my share of dustups with the admins, they do an incredible job. Every day they have to review and approve thousands of posts, plus review thousands more to see if anything violates the rules. Many of the posts are completely garbled by someone who doesn't speak English, or are so poorly written that it's difficult to grasp what they're trying to say. I've run online forums before and it's mostly a huge pain in the ass.
