I was walking on Sukhumvit near soi 4 towards Nana Plaza. The city cleared the sidewalks of all street stalls, which used to take over walking space, selling food and junks all night. Sukhumvit looked nice, clean, orderly, civilized, completely opposite HCMC or Saigon's tourist district packed with aggressive motorbikes traffic, legions of rude, filthy, aggressive street vendors, gum, lotteries sellers, beggars, rotten garbage, foul sewage, dog shit, feces, urine all over sidewalks.

Near the corner into Soi 4 I came across a tall, slim, young girl around 20 in a dirty white dress sprawling on the sidewalk, singing into a microphone with a small AMP amidst pedestrians and traffic noise and dust. Both her eye sockets were sunken, eyeballs definitely removed.

I was shocked at the dire circumstances, indignity and miseries that girl must be going through everyday just to survive. Had no idea what happened to her, guessing she once was a hot bar girl, a jealous wife may have hired gangsters to poke her eyes out in revenge. If I were living in Bangkok or Thailand I would try to arrange a place for her to live in peace, not having to beg on the street. Nothing I could do but to give her some money into her empty tin can and hope someone would help her escape her miseries.

May be the bros know enough about Bangkok to help her out.

To continue on this topic. I did spend some time on Seeking and the rate I seem to get for 2-3 hours is 12 k baht on an average. The girls I talked to are 27-30 yrs old, they look like the ones you would find in a top nightclub, attractive ones, write good English etc. I would grade them 6-7/10, it seems a bit steep to me for 12 k and especially for Bangkok. Overnight would be around 20 k. Will see if I go into that rabbit hole next week. I have some contacts, will see if I decide to burn 12 k for a fuck in bkk. May be I will end up doing after few drinks. Who knows.

I tried Seeking in Jakarta last year. Contacted about 4 girls to see what the going rate was, and 3 were happy to visit my hotel room for around 2 m Rp. I don't know the timeframe that you're reporting on, but 4 days ago, lower Suk still had a ton of vendors, although a bunch were cleared away when the condo bridge was finished.

I've never seen a girl like that on Suk. The number of beggars has decreased although the number of homeless seems to have increased.
