I have not been to Venezuela but follow the news on a daily basis. I have to say your post is inconsistance with what I read online. More than 20% of the population have left the country. That is THE LARGEST migration WITHOUT a WAR in the history of the Latin America.

I find reading this forum provides the most honest and true vue of any country.

The press is biased and also tries to tell you Iran is dangerous (that always makes me laugh crazy).

Unfortunately one can only really know about a place by Walking the streets and Dating locals.

In Africa (and Iran and Venezuela) most visitors do neither. But 'some' people on this forum really do!

Just to clarify. My post had a goal to describe my personal experience and to give advice to other members that it's a great place to meet girls. I won't discuss economical situation etc. But just wanted to show that you have clubs full of girls, girls on tinder and it's actually easiest to meet them than in other latin american countries. I only discuss places I've visited to south america (I've only not visited Suriname and Guyana so I have know knowledge of them). I don't want to discuss safety as well but I felt safer there than in the most places in LA, Baltimore, Atlanta I've been to. I put this post to help you if you need any tips how to meet girls, move around, where to stay not, etc. And I'm ready to answer questions.

In 2005 I had a Venezuelan girlfriend, the sweetest girl imaginable but she did not know that I was a rascal; she's married now and sent me pics of her husband and 2 kids on facebook. I last visited Venezuela in 2007 and was ultra cautious. I found Venezuelans generally and especially the women to be very friendly and genuine. I really would like to visit again and hope to see more reports like yours henceforth.

Inflation seems to be dramatically picking up, with the US dollar going up in price a lot in the past two weeks. Very unfortunate for us people living in Venezuela, but also potentially very convenient for anybody who wants to come here.

MaraCucho, just wondering how that will affect pricing since all the girls / agencies have been quoting in dollars for some time now? Typically in Caracas I have been seeing $30-$70 being advertised for 1 hour, is this still the case?

He is talking about Altamira, Chacao and Las Mercedes, upscale commercial areas of Caracas. To illustrate the difference, a few years ago I was helping another poster during his visit to Caracas and I got to stay a night in the hotel Renaissance La Castellana, and that hotel literally paid a police cruiser to park if front of the building all night, every night. Of course Robat didn't feel that threatned in places like that, but it is indeed disingenuous to believe that's the reality in 99.9% of Venezuela. If the same poster had attempted to do that night walk between the bars in Plaza Venezuela (which is not even among the worst parts of Caracas, not even close), I assure you his experience would be much different.

Yeah, I agree. I was seeing someone from Venezuela and she showed me a video of her walking home, and there were a dozen people eating out of the trash. That is normal there.

I have stayed near Sabana Grande too, and I am not sure if I would say it was nice, but it is okay. Still, you have to get there, and the airport in Caracas is like 20 or 30 miles from the city, and you have to go through the slums to get to the good parts. The road to Caracas always was clogged with traffic, and maybe it is better now but to me, when traffic is at a stand still, you are a sitting duck.

Yeah, Vennies are often lookers, and I have never had one that is bad in bed. Still, why fuck with Caracas when you can go to Bogota and Santa Fe and bang all the Vennies you want at $20 a throw?

Things we take for granted like water quality would be an issue in Venezuela. I think you are delusional if you trust that country with your safety, and I am not talking about just crime.
