At the new hotel, a couple of nights I noticed a couple of them going through the stairs late at night, I think they were being delivered by outsiders. Another night it seemed it was an outcall because later the porter picked up a tip from the room, I think all were local guests because I never saw a foreigner in that hotel. I ended up with a couple of repeated take-outs again, and again nothing memorable.

Earlier on my way to change hotels, by accident I stumbled onto a couple of hostel s, you know those with shared bathroom, and I saw a couple of foreigners there, that was the only time I saw foreigners during my staying. I ate street foods a couple of times and they weren't that bad, beef dishes not so tasty, good pastry. I listened to couple of street hustlers on their offers, but they were no offers, useless. Upon my arrival at the airport, I took the public bus (187) but I took a wrong exit from the airport and I ended up walking like1. 5 k, the correct exit is the departure entrance to the airport. Upon exiting from the arrivals building walk to your right and pass the Departure Terminal until you reached the road, the bus stop is 50 meters from there on the opposite NE corner. I took the 5:30 bus and I just gave him 150 and he took it, dropped off in Pettah and took bus 171 to take me further in the city and took tuktuk from there. I changed SIM card at the airport with no issue, the currency exchange rate was good at the airport, less at the hotel, and I didn't try at the banks. For my departure I took a taxi (A / C) back to the airport for 7,500 and it took about 50 minutes.

Colombo is a big city, spread out in all directions, hard to learn how to navigate through the city parts with all THE extended long names, to find your way around. I did not get the opportunity to look into some of the recommendations given on this board this time, my 8-day visit turned out to be not enough so, I am going to try again on another trip.
