[Chico Bonito]

A few weeks ago when I was staying in Chapinero, I was walking around a little after 9 in the morning, looking for some of the casas I saw listed on the puti mapa. They're a little easier to find (with the help of the map) than I feared they would be, since you can see their doors left slightly open, with loud music playing from inside (which is really noticeable in the morning).

I was expecting a more house-like feel to these "casas". Even though they look like houses / apartments from the outside, on the inside they're like clubs: dance club / bar furniture, serving drinks, dim lighting, loud music (and often multiple tv screens showing porn.) They ask you if you'd like a drink when you walk in. When you tell them you'd like to see the chicas, a guy starts clapping and yelling for "the dancers" to come present themselves.

Most of the places seemed to operate from 9 am to 11 pm. These were the establishments I found open after a few minutes of walking around, before I decided to stick with one and get myself a chica:

Palma Real (Cra. 15 #66-17):

This is a green house with a white door. There was a guy with an umbrella standing outside, inviting men to come inside to check out girls. Supposedly there are more casas on the opposite side of the street, but I couldn't tell if they were open or not. When I went inside for the chicas presentation, there were 4 working at that time. They didn't seem particularly excited to be there, maybe it was too early in the morning for them, LOL. On the same street as Angelitas and Rosquillas, about a block away. Seemed open from the outside, but I didn't look inside this one. On a different evening I saw a group of guys hanging out in front of this place, so it seems to be popular / active.

Another establishment just a few doors down from Angelitas. This was really helpful. I'm a veteran of MDE. It's the only city I've visited in Colombia. Long story but my mongering days might be ending soon, involuntarily. I'm heading back to MDE for possibly the last time. I considered several other locations but none of them beat Medellin for my style. But I'm still in the mood for something different or new. I thought maybe I could take a trip to Bogota or CTG while in country. The flights are cheap, even if it's just a 2 day side trip. So I've read ALOT of pages here re: BOG. Frankly, I'm not overly enthusiastic. Am I missing something? Sounds like Fiebre or Troya might be the most attractive options. I'm not into SGs much. Casas are hit or miss for me; not worth the hassle of an extra couple flights, imo. Is there anything in Bogota that would be significantly better than what is available in MDE?

For example, my initial plan was a trip to Rio, which I've visited before. But was going to make a side trip to Sao Paolo specifically for Scandallo. Anything similar to warrant a trip to BOG? (I know there's oi Scandallo there; I'm just looking for something extra if this is my last hurrah.).

A friend and I took our premier trip to CO a couple of weeks ago. OUr route was Bogo to Medellin to Cartagena and back to Bogo. We liked the food scene in Bogo, but really that's about it. I know some on here like the clubs (Troyas, Fiebre, and others), and we checked them out but I'd give them a hard pass unless you're desperate. The area does not feel safe. The three clubs we went into before Fiebre were seedy and dirty. Fiebre was okay, and the door staff were super pleasant. But still didn't care for the area very much. We stayed in Hotel be Virrey on the first leg. Small rooms, but nice hotel. Great area of town. Lots of bars / clubs / restaurants. We stayed at Tequendama Suites on the last leg. Also liked it. Rooms large and well-kept. Area around the hotel not nearly as interesting or as pleasant as Parque Virrey area near Hotel be Virrey. Views of the mountains were great from T. Suites. We brought our own girls from Medellin on the last leg. I had checked out Seeking.com before we went to Bogo, but prices were high for ST and even higher for LT, either that or the girls were looking for permanent support. So we didn't end up seeing anyone from Seeking.

And there's the kicker: if you're going to Colombia to have fun, Medellin and Cartagena have so much more to offer. Yes, in the way of female companionship, but not limited to that. Food was excellent. Lots of tourist things to do. Communa 13. Walking around El Poblado. Even the Escobar museum (which is a bit of a rip-off). As to the females, well, just look out your door and they are waiting for you. Or hang out in one of the bars / restaurants off Parque Lleras and just watch the goings on. And the pricing is very reasonable compared to my home country (USA). Cartagena has a ton of things to do, and the ladies are just waiting for you to say "hola" and then off you go. Beach and snorkelling in Carta. Seaside meals. World Heritage site. Etc. Nothing like this in Bogo.

So, next trip, we have decided to give bogo a pass, and just start off in Medellin.

BTW, if you are in Medellin, there are some massage shops that people on this forum have mentioned, including (especially) Energy Spa. I thought Energy was a big "meh. " The massage itself wasn't much, and the more interesting parts were mechanical and boring. Nothing erotic about it. Can say though that the place itself is nice. Large, private rooms with shower, very clean, pleasant staff. But honestly, you are better off just grabbing one of the massage girls in Poblado / Provenza. Had a nice experience with one of those.

I have 3 whatsapp numbers and one of them is with textnow. I think I had to upgrade to the $5 a year plan. Don't be cheap it's worth it. Plus they send you a sim to activate it as an option on a phone and not only via the app.

You should bring girls back to Teqendama suites after you get to know them. THe hotel is girl friendly, during the day it is free to have guests. The hotel has good security. Get to know the staff and tip them-.

Its better to have a +57 number anyways for your WhatsApp. After you arrive you can buy a claro or Tigo Sim card for as little as 4 k pesos. Then put a cheap package on it for as little as 3 k pesos and put it in your phone. Then you can use that new Colombian number to register your WhatsApp.

Make sure to register your imei number within 30 days so your phone doesn't get blocked. There's info here in the forum about how to do that.

When you get to Bogota, you can go to an OFFICIAL Claro store (I go to the one in the Andino Mall) with a copy of your passport. Then, let them set you up. Pay few mil for a SIM. Pre-pay around 42 K for 30 days of around 12 or 14 Gigs, with unlimited talk and text. Or 30 something K for limited talk and text.

Then use the local Colombian number to set up a WhatsApp account. The number will expire in about a year if you don't reload.

Contrary to what is recommended here, don't buy a cheap burner phone. Spend $500 rather than $100. Buy one with a good camera. You never know when you will want to take pictures/videos.
