I don't remember Whiskeria Dona Tere having pool table, but it's got Puta. I went several years ago weh the Hotel Movitch was under $100 and walking distance to the central core.

I recall that this bar closed early, like 8 pm and I nvr did find a great late night hangout. The girls were great, I took one in the club and bar fined another.

I went at Christmastime and loved the vibe of the town, again keeping in mind the mongering seems to end early. I never spent much time at the Parc Libertad, but I've heard it's got some late night action.

Whiskeria Dona Tere in Pereira is NOT the place Coupe66 is talking about. There are no pool tables there. A drinking bar w girls (10-20 at certain times). Rooms in the back. Its on Carrera 6 close to Parque Lago. Closes at 10 or 11. I've never been to Parque Libertad late night. Been there a lot during the daytime. Always chicas hanging around. Once in a while theres a good one.

When I was in Pereira earlier this year I came across this place (just down Carrera 8 from Parque El Lago), which just looked like an ordinary pool bar at first, except there were quite a few hot looking women walking into and sitting in it! At first I wasn't sure what was going on, but after I summoned the courage to go in, have a few beers and chatted to a couple I realised they were hookers. It's the only place I've come across in Pereira and even the whole of Colombia like that!

My question is are there other bars like this in Pereira? Or in the surrounding cities like Armenia and Manizales too? If you know of any others please let me know. Are they a typical thing in Colombia? I've never come across another one in 6 trips to Colombia, and I've been to many cities. Thanks for your advice!

So I just went down to Leticia, Amazonas which is the southernmost city of Colombia. It is on the border with Tabatinga, Brasil and across the Amazon river from Santa Rosa, Peru. In fact yesterday I was in all 3 countries within the same hour. I took a lancha for 5 mil pesos from Leticia to Santa Rosa Perú and then I took another lancha back but they dropped the Gabacho Locc off in Tabatinga Brazil and then he walked back to Leticia Colombia. All 3 borders are completely open and you can pass through into all 3 countries walking by boat or by moto or tuk tuk.

The area was very hot and humid. The people look mostly indigenous with short squatty features and big round heads with dark brown skin. I found some of the women attractive (in an exotic kind of way) but I didn't do any mongering there as I didn't see any women that struck me as prostitutes and didn't want to be disrespectful by asking normal women if they wanted to have sex.

The area seemed very poor especially on the Brazil and Peru sides. Leticia was definitely the more developed of the the 3 towns but it even seemed poor by normal Colombian standards.

I had an Inca Kola on the Peru side it was pretty good a tropical flavored gaseosa.

For people who are interested in traveling and adventures, from Santa Rosa, Peru you can take a 15 hour boat ride to this bigger city in the Peruvian Amazon called Iquitos and from Tabatinga you can take a boat to this other city in the Brazilian Amazon called Manaus.

They give you change in Brazilian Real instead of pesos and I later found out that the Brazilian Real are worth about 20% less than the Colombian pesos but the lanchas will accept either 5 mil pesos or 5 reales for the boat ride but once your back in Leticia the reales coins and bills are not equal to the their Colombian pesos counterparts and a tuk tuk driver refused to take them.

Make sure that you get a yellow fever vaccination and carry the little booklet with your passport migracion Colombia did ask for it along with my passport and checkmig at the Leticia airport.

I've been in Cali the last couple of days. Going back to Pereira this afternoon. Had a great lunch at Bendito restaurant on Ave Sexta. Rice beans, soup and salad, patacon and the main dish Cerdo in sauce. Had lunch w a friend of mine. Good conversation.

Anyway, had 2 sexos w Gloria on Carrera 8. Great deepthroat chupa action. Hung out at Son Sonero bar, had a few beers. Will try Cyber World this morning. Life is good.

On Monday, I went to San Miguel hot springs spa in Santa Rosa de Cabal. Great warm water pools, I left feeling 10 pounds lighter.

Been in Pereira for a couple of days. I like it here its peaceful and tranquil and safe to walk around. Went to Dona Tere Rosquillas bar last night. Fairly crowded at least 10 chicas there. Not too bad looking. I talked w a tall blonde w big tits. She wanted 120 K. I knew that was too much, from what I had heard. So I passed on her. Then I talked w Melania. She wanted 80 K. That is the normal rate. We went upstairs and did our business. She really wasnt all that good. But what the heck.

I am about to visit Apartad soon, where my sugar baby lives. She wants me to meet her mother. I will be flying there from Panama via Medellin.

I am quite experienced about Colombia and South America in general, but I have never visited this area (Turbo, Apartad) before. I am absolutely fluent in Spanish but they can spot I am not Colombian (I am European white). Do you have any experience of this region?

The area is mainly Afro, it's on the coast, you can't drink the water, it's very very hot during the day, and it's run down. I don't think it's overly dangerous though.

On the main highway there's a place called "Whiskeria la Tentacióand".

Popped in and there were 3 girls present; two seated at a table drinking with customers.

The third one approached me and tried to hard-sell me but I was not interested, didn't find her attractive at all.

It's Puerto Asís and it's supposedly a real dump, though I have never been.

Very little going on here, although, like all Colombian towns (except for Villavieja) there is always something.

Went past a place on Carrera 9 and calle 12 called "Chicas show". 8 girls were in front of the place, none of them looked worth it though, so I didn't follow up. They told me the place closes at 11 pm, wtf?

There was another place on Carrera 11 (which is the main through route) a couple blocks to the north called "Dulce Pecado". Great name, but it was closed. Probably only open on weekends.

I only saw one actual place here, called Michelada or Bohemio, on Av Colombia, the main drag.

Last night there were 2 really busted looking women there, on their phones and bored. No customers.

Definitely this time of year is a bust for this whole part of the country.

I looked on the standard websites, and even there things are difficult. Girls want to schedule you around their plans, which are numerous, or simply don't even respond to ads.

Maybe it's completely different during the rest of the year; I have no way of knowing for sure.
