I was wondering if anybody can suggest whether it is safe to call a WG to your actual home? Rewriting this. Mongering impacts two importance currencies. Money and time. You need to optimize for both, here is how:

Income. Expensse - Investments and savings = money I can splurge on myself (Includes eating out, hobbies, travel, mongering).

Be clear that mongering comes out of a fancy dinner or a trip you would otherwise do. I typically let this be about 10-15% of "money I can splurge on myself". It started with 3-4 k per month where I did MPs and as my pay increased, it reached 8-9 k pm. Some months I save and go for one high end experience like a zinzin or some fancy european. On birthdays I gift myself mongering budget which I save and spend in Bangkok or somewhere in Europe if work takes me there.

Optimizing for Time: This is more important and will have a larger impact on career.

1. If you don't monger at all and practice abstinance, I feel you'll find yourself fantasizing about sex a lot. Being frustrated as well. You'll spend hours lusting to no avail. Unless you're sterile, you can't go without sex for too long. If you enter the dating game, that also takes a lot of time and emotional mental head space too.

2. If you do monger and have kept financial limits, remind yourself that next month you get to have this experience again. Don't constantly keep obsessing over hookers, always respect the restrictions you have put on yourself. The fact that the restrictions were well thought out (the above financial formula), it should make it easy for you to tell yourself to hold your horses and proceed with other aspects of your life.

Be real with yourself.

Let mongering be a % of the money you're left with post deducting expenses and savings.

Mongering must come out of your expenses which would otherwise go on a fancy restaurant etc.

Don't think too much about it. Let it be clinical and the day you feel you're constantly rationalising bad long term decisions for mongering, make a promise to yourself to stop it.

Go 4-5 months without it as well every year to be sure it's not an addiction.

I feel living in extremes is a bad idea. That means don't abstain yourself nor overdo it.

Look at each mongering session as an experience where you meet a new person, see their way of living and then get back to your life.
