Standing your ground? That's a US thing to give someone the right to take certain action if they feel threatened by someone they don't like. In a foreign country standing your ground may result in a huge guy demanding his right to enjoy you in a jail cell.

Thanks for the Info. What about cell service? I have AT&T. I see they have an international plan that includes data ($30 for 1 month). Has any one had success with this plan or should I opt for getting a local SIM.
How much will the local SIM cost and will it include data?
You can get a sim card for 500 pesos and it will come with 300 pesos on account which is enough for about 10 days of data.

Yes but be very careful. Make sure you know the girls because if you don't they are likely to tag team. One fucks. One rifles your wallet LOL. I get offered it all the time but it's not really my thing. I wouldn't expect the girls to be interactive either. Anyway - it's very common- just be careful- the girls here call it Happy Hour alot- I do have one regular who I think might be an aspiring lesbian but while she is very cute. The girl I see on her FB- who I think might be her partner- is ugly as a mud fence.
If the girls agree, realize it's not going to be the kind of threeway you are dreaming of, with one chica sitting on your face, the other blowing you etc. It will pretty much be one at a time, just two girls taking turns at best. And the presence of their friend often inhibits them from getting really freaky. Try one but I think you will be disappointed; and you are definitely setting yourself up for a robbery.

Taking the plunge, accomodation questions
Finally decided to take a trip, booking a flight for April. Would love some tips or information regarding accommodations.
I've already looked at the Alicia and the Garden, but what are the other good hotels / resorts in the area? And which one is the most resort like / fancy? I don't mind spending a bit more on nicer accommodations and ideally want a place that feels more like a resort than a hotel, if that exists. And of course is close to the action.

That would have been one of the dumbest moves of your life, it would have either put you in a Dominican jail or cost you big bucks or both, most likely both. And in my opinion you would have deserved it, men that hit women are fucking cowards.

Just remember that Google Fi will shut off your roaming data after 30 days being in a foreign country. I use Fi exclusively both in the USA And while traveling abroad but the 30 day thing can be an issue for some. If I am in a foreign country for more than a month I just get a local sim and keep the Fi for calls and texts to and from the USA I understand why they do that but the odd thing is if you spend 29 days in one country then go to another country they don't shut off your roaming data until you hit the 30 day limit in the new country. I just spent 26 days in the DR and 32 days in Colombia and they didn't shut my data off until I hit 30 in Colombia. It comes right back on when I return to the USA.

Google Fi will also work.

First Trip Sosua
I'm in a similar situation to Dtrain, first time trip to the DR and first international trip in over a decade.
Planning to go for a week, maybe 10 days. Lots of great information and many of my questions have already been answered. I pretty much just plan to eat, sleep, play and relax.
I was wondering if there's a girl friendly hotel / resort that's close to all the action while actually being a decent or fun resort to just stay at instead of a boring hotel with literally nothing to do.
Also if there are any agencies. My general understanding is there are some slow periods, hard to find girls during the day, many of them are pretty robotic / uninterested and they may not be the body type I'm looking for. I guess that's a part of the fun, finding someone you like but I wouldn't mind an agency girl either- of course as long as they don't ask for insane prices.
Curious to what the running price would be to take out a girl for an entire day too, and how open the girls are to various different things in general.

Yes, I should have slapped her in the face and told her to get the F. Out of my stuff immediately. I was just so surprised she thought she could rummage through my stuff like she had rights.
Never trust a hoe. She was probably looking for some perfume she could demand. Instead she found some remote cars for my grandkids. And eventually I lost my temper with her. Most women are like that. They try to see how far they can go before you raise your voice at them and get mad. Then they back down.

I would not use any credit cards with all the scam charges going on. Deal in cash only.
Hotels generally allow early check in if they have rooms available. Otherwise just go around the corner and hang out at a bar or restaurant.
Daytime you can go to beach and do beach activities. Go tours of mountains and Brugal distillery tour. Or just rest ready for nightlife.
I usually rent a car. I believe taxi costs approximately 30-40 dollars. Cheapest is walk to the main road which is not far hop on a moto or take passing share ride taxis. Taxi mafia at airport are brutal. In Cartagena I used Uber which was not expensive.

Fairly new to mongering. Planning my first trip to Sosua in April. I have a couple questions for the forum.
Is cash the only means for paying at places like Rumbas, Bailee's or the supermercado or is electronic payment accepted?
Does New Gargen allow early checkin? I have a 1 pm flight but there check-in is at 2:30 pm.
What is the daytime routine for chicas? Playa Sosua?
I'm reading Weekdays are really slow so what is there to do other the sex?
Has any tried exchanging currency with your bank and flying with the cash?
Also what is the taxi cost from POP airport to Sosua? I don't want to get ripped off like I did in Cartegena as soon as I touched down.
