After the best night's sleep of the trip so far I had a lazy afternoon. Weeks in Pattaya can become one-dimensional, a daily diet of bars and girls and not much else. I felt I needed something more to stimulate my brain so after breakfast Macca and I went to the Sanctuary of Truth, a very impressive temple a short distance north of Pattaya Beach. We walked there from Terminal 21 and it took about 25 minutes. Admission was steep at 500 baht as it included a compulsory guided tour but it was an interesting place to visit.

We walked back via Naklua Beach which is much nicer than Pattaya Beach. I ate a tasty spicy grilled beef dish at a beachside restaurant and washed it down with a Chalawan pale ale, brewed in Phuket. At the south end of Naklua Beach there are some nice coves and interesting rock formations.
