I haven't seen any signs telling the indigenous men to go back to their land, or saying grandpas aren't wanted here, or pamphlets being handed out to dance school owners telling them grooming is discouraged. There is a systemic problem in this country, along with many others, and a few dumb-F gringos are just a drop in the bucket. Keystone cops don't help, but if you ask me, a grandpa R-ing his granddaughter sends you to a real special place compared to some foreign slob being an idiot in what would certainly seem like an illegal agreement between parties type situation (based on the elevator video). Certain people will take to the streets for whatever the topic of the day is, but it boggles my mind on how locals can hear half a story from their neighbor's grandma's maid's friend on whatsapp, Day 1, and never think for a second there could be more to the story. Gentrification is my other hot button issue. Zimbabwe is at 130%, pretty sure there aren't many gringos buying apartments and bottles of alcohol there. Gas is up 50% in the US and I don't hear too many people blaming it on the Colombians in Miami or NYC. Ok, that's my rant for the day. All this greenery and peace at The Masters got me in the mood to pick a fight with my laptop LOL. In case anyone is worried, this has nothing to do with being sexually frustrated!

Yes I agree the whole country is crooked from the police all the way to president. But here's the thing. This is not our country.

The stories of druggings and medellin basically being the new worlds brothel all backtracks back to the type of gringo tourists that they don't want in their country.

Every measure they are taking in Cartagena and Mde realistically is to get rid of the blatant sex tourists that publicize and embarrass their country. Ie Passport Bros and YouTubers.

Most of us go there to take their women and you expect Colombian men in general to be ok with that??

3 am? What time were they closing to begin with? It's a serious question, I've never been in the park later than 10 PM or so and then only years ago.

They were closing at 4 am before the mayor changed it to 1 am. I only know when they used to close because my friend works until they close. I don't think I've ever been there past midnight.

I have been in the best parts, and I guarantee you the WORST parts of Colombia. I MARRIED into a VERY poor family and have seen true desperation and children going hungry. Even then they were some of the KINDEST people I have ever met. Don't be an asshole, be good to humans, and don't be an idiot and you should be ok.

I can't count the number of times I have fallen in love in Colombia. Like REAL romantic love. I MARRIED one girl (there are a lot of posts about her in this very forum including great nudes of her too)(I still fucked everything that moved), but I loved this girl with all my heart. I have 10+ girls who I love like little sisters (I still fuck them), but I help them with clothes for school, birthday gifts, have met their families, been to weddings, funerals, Christmas at their house and more. Colombians are some of the most passionate and warm people in the world (probably only 2nd to Brazil). If you are single, you are VERY likely to fall in love - if you do fall in love... please don't make the mistake I made (will continue to make). Just be honest, tell them you like fucking lots of women, and you will find a girl there who will let you fuck everyone and anyone and still love you (if you take care of her and. her family). Word of warning here: I have NEVER seen a hot Colombian woman over 45 years old. These girls AGE HARD. If you are going to get into a relationship, AIM YOUNG (18-23) and you will be dead before they get ugly.

YYZ, I agree with practically everything you have written especially about how to treat the women. Then I come to this part and I am like are you out of your damned mind?

First off, I get what you are saying about the attraction. This impoverished girl that you married probably treated you like a king in the bedroom and was young and super hot. The ideal Colombian woman fucks the shit out of you, does your laundry, packs your bags, and will do literally anything you ask of them. That is a pipe dream in the USA.

But let's get real. Say you met the same 18 year old type not in Colombia but in West Virginia with an impoverished family. Do you think anyone would think such a marriage would work?

Yeah, I get it is man's innate desire to fuck as many women as possible, but before you get married, you better have found something in the woman you are considering marrying more valuable than that innate desire because that is what is going to keep you from straying. Eventually, you are going to get bored of the 18 year old girl and her family.

And getting from 18 to 23 before they get ugly? Well, yeah, if all you value is looks, then yeah, you should not get married. No matter how hot your woman is, one day you will see hotter.

The easy part is sweeping the women off their feet and having the women think you hung the moon. The hard part is your commitment to them. That means selling your woman to your friends, family, and coworkers. If she cannot make valuable connections with them, then your relationship is doomed. Was anyone in your personal circle hurt when things did not work out with you and your wife?

I am going to try not to brag about my woman, but if you were a friend of mine and flying into a city and needed anything, outside of paying, she would handle everything. And when she did, you would be telling me how lucky I am, and her friends are the same way. I would imagine you could do the same if someone visited you in your hometown.

One thing I cannot stand is government and divorce and all that bullshit about women getting half as if every woman is so valuable. When guys cheat, they usually do so because their wives are worthless, and they can. When I got divorced, nobody in my family missed my ex-wife or ever asked about how she is doing. There was no downside to cheating her on outside of the law so I did. If someone wanted to go out with her after my divorce, I would have said she is pretty and good in bed, but once you see the real her, you are going to want to run away. If she was so damned valuable, someone should have picked her up by now, and no one has.

If I broke up with my current gal, it would be devastating to her friends and family and to mine because there have been real bonds that have formed and knowing that prevents me from seeing other people. Also unlike my ex wife, there would be a line of guys out the door after her, and that would not be just based on looks but who she is. Hell, MY friends and family would be trying to fix her up if things did not work out.

The friends of my gal have all traveled and are college educated. Many have family in the USA and Europe, speak great English, and have foreign BFs and husbands. They are either professional or married to a person who is a professional. It was rare for me to have met anyone in Colombia who was not professional and could think long term. If you are a well to do American and want a Colombian woman, you have to marry someone from this class or it is not going to work. You have better odds of it working out with a USA hick from the sticks.

Get a proxy. Problem solved. I have been working "remote" in different countries for 10+ years and have a full paid proxy subscription so all my traffic (phone included) route back through the US.

I get the proxy part for laptop but how do you route company phone? Do you turn of cellular network and just use phone via proxy VPN WiFi?

Oh I have had a problem drinking the tap water in the past, in Medellin. Water outages will certainly result in contamination.

The tolerance in tap water could be quite different between travellers and locals too. Just because locals could drink the tap water doesn't always mean that we could since the stomach flora inside could be quite different from living in different regions for most of our lives.

I am anti plastic contamination. I use refillable 5 gallon jugs. I feel awful when I'm in Miami and see people buying pallets of small plastic water bottles for home use.

You misunderstand me. I am saying that if you are eating food, you will have the local bugs in your system whether you drink the water or not. I'm not saying that eating local food will "help" with water contamination. If people are worried about this (I live in MDE and SJO and drank the tap water from day one in both places), please use sustainable methods vs. Buying bottled water. Filtration, etc. You can buy water bottles with filters. I just get real tired of seeing plastic bottles everywhere.

This includes the ones literally caught with their dicks in illegal (under 14 in Colombia) girls like the guy who picked up two in San Diego and took them to a motel La Estrella. I think everybody saw the passport of Livingston plastered all over the Internet after he was released because the girls wouldn't accuse him of anything and he wasn't caught in the act doing anything. Yes, confirmation bias aside, the fact is Colombia is in a period of drought right now. It hasn't affected Medellin yet but the risk is there. It's so bad that Bogota is about to impose water rationing. Scheduled and unscheduled water outages are not unusual in Medellin. That's why most high rises have water tanks. It's not fair that only poor people in the barrios are affected by the water outages. You are probably not going to have a problem drinking the tap water. People here do it all their lives and gastritis is not the sort of problem it on the coast. I personally don't plan to cancel my Postobon deliveries any time soon. Three five gallon bottles cost about 44,000 pesos. It's not a big expense.

Oh I have had a problem drinking the tap water in the past, in Medellin. Water outages will certainly result in contamination. And more so right now in San Jose where one part of the city had tens of thousands of people sick from bad water as they are shutting it off every day leading to all sorts of water born problems. Alajeulita and Hatillo, parts of Desamperados and into Escazu. With thousands of cases each day. They are advised to not drink the water but happens anyway.

I am not in Medellin now so I can't comment on the current situation in Poblado with the mayor's new rule. But if you are seeing online girls that are over the legal age, you probably will not be affected in any manner.

When doing so there is no reason not to start by hitting the "REPLY WITH QUOTE" option at the bottom of the prior post. But, unless the quoted post is a very short one, be sure to delete all of the text inside the QUOTE except a sentence or two. You can insert dots "...... ", as I have done, above, in the Quote from Moonshot's post, to indicate where you have deleted language. And be sure to retain the ISG QUOTE brackets, themselves, at the beginning and the end, or else the ISG system will abort your reply.

It's actually useful for other readers to have this link back to the prior post on which you are commenting in case they want to go back and check it out for themselves. This link is lost if (as Moonshot suggested) you just comment by drafting a new post (instead of hitting Reply to get started). Often Board Members are responding to a post a day or two after it's original appearance, so it may already be a page or two back on the thread.
