I was hoping Pattaya would be quieter after Songkran, but I had to wait 15 minutes for a Bolt taxi.

Maybe tomorrow (Monday) will be the start of Low Season, but last year, it was busy until May 1.

Soi 6 is not relaxing.

I spent 2 weeks on Soi 6. Hated it and I was not the only one.

The wonder of Pattaya is the plethora of choices, and not a universally guaranteed high quality of girls and services. The reason there are so many choices of venue types and sub-types is that each has it's own customer base. "One man's trash is another man's treasure", as the saying goes. So I am also puzzled why you would stick to one place instead of exploring the other ones. 2 weeks would be barely enough to try out enough places to conclude there is nothing in town to your liking!

Personally, I don't see any allure in Soi 6. Last time I was there, the girls were young, but pretty ugly. I can find a lot of 30-35 year-old women in town who are more physically attractive! Plus, younger girls (especially the hot ones) tend to be much more disinterested, moody and laser-focused on fleecing you, without necessarily making you happy along the way. And the service was industrial-level mechanical!

But that's just me! Others have other viewpoints, and that's fine! Sometime places also change: my favourite place from last time went downhill so much, that this time one visit was enough.

Entered and went to the 2nd level. Got a nice table right in front of the stage. Ordered a drink. Scanned the girls in the club. When I enter a club I only need to find one that is attractive to me. I do not worry about what my mates that I am rolling with think. Caught the eye of a lovely Thai girl with the body of a Latina. She moved like that also. Complete nakedness is what I like to see when I am in a club. That or sexy outfits. So, the (mamason) is selling packets of 20 THB notes. I get one and start having fun with them. But the prices to take that chemistry beyond the club are not. She heads back on stage. More tipping and fun like that. She comes back over to the table. Another drink. The Cmdr is getting weak. But he just cannot justify the numbers to make it happen. She heads back on stage. It lowers again. I finish making it rain with the remaining 20 THB notes that I have. After I run out, I exit stage right.

Prices? I have no idea. When I go out to have fun; I do not worry about chump change money like drink prices. I go out to have fun! Besides it is not like I am going to buy 40 drinks. One or two for me and one or two for the girl that interests me and I'm good. I had a great time! I will return. Further reports of my adventures in the LK Metro area to follow.

It's odd that nobody is mentioning the ongoing disaster in Pattaya known as "Songkran". Soi 6 looks like a war zone.

I escaped from Pattaya, with a Thai lady, but she is returning to play water tomorrow.

I can't imagine going out and try to barfine a lady under these conditions.

I experienced Songkran only once in Pattaya. And it was a total disaster. Almost all people seemed to lose respect and they used water violence to people who didn't want to play with water. The worst thing I witnessed was when we waited a baht-bus drive, a bunch of vandals throw water with all their aggressions and there were 2 small children in the baht-bus. Those small children became terrified completely and their parents could not protect them against those water-vandals. I can still remember how those children cried in the baht-bus, even it was 9 years ago.

I will never ever come to Thailand in April.

Where would 90% of Beach Road girls fit in other countries with street prostitution? I think they would be found doing tricks in bushes outside of town or underneath motorway interchange bridges. The infamous Jakarta railroad tracks come to mind.

Now it was a long time I hadn't as much as walked along Beach Road after 8 pm. I did so shortly before Songkran and was at first surprised to see a handful of doable girls. My surprise must have had to do with Soi 6 having gone down in the meantime though.

Soi 6 in early to mid-afternoon had always be my reference (I have no idea of Soi 6 after dark). The quality of Soi 6 in early to mid-afternoon having gone down, Beach Road struck me as not to be written off entirely.

Note that the doable girls on Beach Road seemed to have taken a cue from Soi 6's best-looking girls. They turned their back and/or stayed with their nose glued to their smartphones in order to signal unavailability and underscore their own-perceived immense worth.

Yes I did. Because I roam the street from those times and have found selections that I like during those hours.

Great review! And I agree 100% I avoid soi6 like the plague. The music in those bars is loud and terrible. 95% of the girls I wouldn't fuck for free (especially when you walk there daytime! SO yeah agree it feels more like a tourist trap (maybe compare it to the RLD in Amsterdam) than a true monger spot. I saw many guys at both ends of Soi 6 building up the nerve to run the gauntlet the first time or to return back. Kinda like you are about to go underwater and you are taking big deep breaths before you dive under.
