There are steel or aluminum bars (foot pegs) on each side of the bike near the rear wheel. Put a foot under each peg, and hold on to the handle bars on the back of the bike and you will be as safe as you can be riding a bike as a passenger.

I've used moto taxi alot in Colombia with this app Picap. You are correct they have metal pegs to put your feet on and metal handle bars under the seat that you hold onto.

I plan on using them in Thailand and Indonesia too. I already have the gojek app for Jakarta moto taxis. It's the most affordable way to get around other than public transport.

We went to Opium, which was very busy, and had a ridiculous number of dancing ladies. Not very many high quality ladies, and there were too many of them on stage.

Too many ladies on Opium isn't that a good thing? Yes, after the euphoria of night 1 when I listed a bunch of girls who I liked, so many of them haven't been around all week. Place is packed though. Imo they need to work on the quality of the models. Palace on the other hand doesn't have nearly as many girls (only 3 groups of 15 Sunday night) but the average quality of the models is clearly 2 steps ahead.

How Not To Fall Off Motobikes There?

Hold on to the motorbike taxi driver for dear life. His clothes may look like they haven't been washed for months and he not be smelling the greatest being in the hot sun all day with a jacket on but if that's worth saving 1 USD and 5 minutes then up to you. As XXL said, you have to not mind wearing that helmet that hasn't been washed for months/years he may make you put on. I used to take motorbikes until Thailand allowed ride sharing. I prefer not to be sweaty and smelly when I go see my gogo girls.

Compared to beach road, discos, beer bars, LK metro, and soi 6? Yes! I would take a bar girl from Palace unseen compared to taking a freelancer unseen from beach road or anywhere else. One has a higher risk than the other.

Why did you drag Beach Road and discos into it? A comparsion was not part of the question. I was merely asking if every chick in Palace was in your opinion worth the 4000 baht or so the establishment charges, that you have enough faith to call down and tell them to send you any girl there. If you are willing to take the risk of a motorbike accident (I'm not) it may be better to rent one. This way you decide how careful you drive, and you can use a clean helmet instead of the grimy one the motorbike guy gives you.

Simple. If youre scared, dont do it. Im not scared so I use motorbike taxis religiously, Ive also rented one before and drove it (but thats a good way to get a ticket unless you have all the proper documentation). Its not for the faint of heart, motorcycle taxis cut off and drive in between cars that will turn you into a sandwich so this is the risk you have to weigh.

You wont fall off as there are handle bars on the back of the seat you can grab, if you dont want to grab the taxi drivers waist. Local thais dont grab onto anything because they already have the experience of riding them both as drivers and passengers so theyre not worried over some speed.

The owners of high rollers are 2 young Guys. Nothing to do with Flowers and Nightwish.

As independent as they could be. They really get involved in the bar organizing pool teams, sports events, music nights etc.

This is a prime example of why I do not "loan" money to chicks. I had never done it before because I learned from other people's mistakes. But I decided to go ahead and undertake this experiment myself with it being such a meager amount.

On June 5 the chick I pay for sex that works at 7 11 hit me up asking to borrow money. I have known her since before covid and she has never asked before. She said she needed 200 baht for her daughter to go on a field trip at school and she would pay me back on June 10.

I said I am waiting for tomorrow when you give me the other 200 baht back. She said well I will not have the money until the 15th. I say okay I will wait until the 15th. Then she still begs for 200 more baht. I said I can not. I am still waiting for the other 200 baht. Then she changes to wanting 100 baht. I still say no. Then she says why not as if it is my duty to loan money to her. She asks me why I am so mean.

June 15 comes and goes and not a word from her. June 18 I send the QR code so she can send the money back to me. She says why are you so mean. I said you said you will send the money on June 15 and now is June 18. She has not responded since. Today is June 23.

You do it one time and they are going to keep asking on top of not wanting to pay you back to begin with. I threw away 300 baht to learn something that I already knew. Good thing I am not fool enough to do it with thousands or even hundreds of thousands like many guys have done. I am not a financial institution and have no desire to be one.

Right. That's the oligarchy for you. But there is an easy way to counteract the high bar fines and high girl rates. Don't go there. There are plenty of choices. You can choose to go to the high price places like EverythingThai likes to do, or you can go to the cheaper places and boycott the oligarchy.

Don't get my post wrong although negative doesn't one bit means it comes from the higher priced and I unwilling to pay it.

I said it again I don't care what you or anyone spend when I do go out because of my age and happy I don't have to get all work up over looks prices comfortable that I'm no sex machine reduced urge. If I want to spend the money I will do it and it won't be trying to complete with anyone. But right now I don't find the need to break my self boycott of many places.

Not really. You say Palace is your favorite gogo. If I am correct, every girl in Palace goes for the same amount. Let's say 4000 baht. Are you telling me that you will take a Palace girl sight unseen because for 4000 baht she must be young and beautiful?

I'm speaking generally, there is always an exception to the rule. Theres plenty of mongers walking around central festival and terminal 21 with solid looking freelancers. And freelancers obviously typically provide better GFE / chemistry than money hungry and time watching bar girls. There's a pro and con for everything.

My time is limited as a tourist, so my strategy is different. Obviously if I was an expat I would have all the time in the world to evaluate every single freelancer spot. I would go to every beer bar and disco every night to find the best freelancers. But on my trips, most of my time goes towards go-gos and if I have extra time I look for freelancers at discos. I walked beach road many times and did not find anything appealing at the rate of spending that same time reviewing 100+ WG in one spot with less walking at a go-go bar.

Prices have only risen if you tend to hang out in the places where East Asian tourists go. I haven't been down Walking Street in more than 6 years; I simply don't see any point. Same goes for the other 'tourist strips' like LK. You know your going to pay more than you need to, so why bother?

Every monger has different preferences and priorities. What works for me is I try to find at least one top stunner bar girl and 1 freelancer, and as a tourist time is not on my side. That doesn’t work for everybody. I’ve accepted that I’m playing in league with East Asians (go-gos on WS) but I recognize that no one here controls that. I took a WG from Palace yesterday (#405) and I was the first American she had ever been with. She said she’s only been with Chinese and Koreans.
