Posts: 6685A few thoughts from The Cmdr
I own a business in the Dominican Republic but not in Sosua and nothing to do with tourism at all. I would not want to scare people from Sosua. There is no place like Sosua.

Like they be pimpin and your words going to cut into their income. In my opinion, they are like the girl who has been kidnapped that falls in love with her kidnapper.
Nah, I just want to keep it real. I look at things as an outsider. I know that no matter what I do, I will never be Dominican. I am not engaged in self deception.
Things have been this way in the Sosua Reports thread ever since I started posting on ISG. I will stipulate to several points. Most who visit Sosua do not post on ISG. Then again everyone who does not post on Sosua is not sharing their views with us so we do not know what they think. The individuals among us that post on ISG cannot make the assumption that all is well and good with them. Yet that is what the do in order to be disagreed with those of us who keep it real about the place.
I personally do not see a lot of criticism of Sosua. Sosua is what it is. IMO if you come to Sosua and you don't have fun then it is your own damn fault. Sosua is so much more than just the girls.
Not trying to deter anyone either. Just sharing my experiences and what I remember of them. Besides I do not think that what anyone says here will stop anyone determined to visit. I've never let anything I've read on ISG stop me from doing something I wanted. I've always appreciated those who keep it real and who have "boots on the ground".

I much prefer talking about the place than defending myself from constant ad hominem because someone does not like my view of the place.
You are keeping it 100 here I have had at least 6 chicas with jobs flat turn me down when I asked them out on a date. I figured that they had income so I didn't insult them with a direct pay for play offer. They still refused. I understand why. They probably view me as just another visiting mother fucker who is trickin. They were right. LOL!

Keep up your good posting. Glad I finally wrote something that somebody found useful. LOL!

The chica I was with was incensed and pointed to the price chart on the wall. He was shocked that she was defending me. But he gave me the correct price. As we walked back to the Gran Jefe mobile to head back to my apartment she said that "people like that give Dominicans a bad name. He would have pocketed the difference for himself. ".
I have no need for flame wars. It end here for me unless of course it does not for other. If people would just attack the ideas (if they must be critical) instead of the man. The process of sharing information on having sex with girls in this thread would get much easier.

Some of our more critical posters seem to have no problem directing newbies to that place to start a mongering career. LOL.
Sure, learn how to avoid pimps by getting your first toe in the water at the pimping palace.

Posts: 502Question Do You Own a Business Frequent By Black Americans In Sosua?
This question not only goes out to you but to of the others who aggressively defend that thrash town! As if you're trying your best to not scare people away from there. Your reference to your many years of living in Sosua has a powerful voice and to be honest I even took some of your advice initially when dealing with some of the gals. You said in almost of 20 years of living in the DR you only saw one Trannie in Sosua. Question was it this one? https://youtube.com/shorts/zL6EHMckt...vB-_4r5XCVHo2z.
The trannie in the video I see that person every time I go to Sosua. And not only him at least 11 more of them hell the owner of Rumbas makes announcements all of the time telling customers do not bring them to his restaurant! I followed your advice on the references to payments I had to go into extreme detail why the women charge what they charge vs accepting 2000 pesos from the tourist in Sosua. There are lots of pimps in Sosua you been there for a while the thing is it's the ho's jobs to get money and the pimp do collect a cut. Anyone who visits Sosua a lot or speaks Spanish knows that the some of the German bar owners pimps young Haitian women. Some of them have Dominican pimps and speaking of pimping I'm not trying to deter anyone from visiting there because of pimps! I'm just making an awareness that it's there and have some guys know hey think twice of western Union some gals some money because it might go to her pimp too!
You made a reference to every woman in that town is a ho and that's not true and to be honest the vast majority of the women there are not working girls they're just girls who live in a town whom income is centered around sex tourist's misinformation such as that can cause people to become extremely judgmental of individuals quickly. I do not want to get into an heated argument with you nor anyone about Sosua. I appreciate the information given by you, Sub and Mr. E. And I respect having to do business with Black American guys, the Germans and the Canadians. You'll dealing with less scammers and more fairer prices on things than dealing with locals.
True story I was in Santo Domingo Zona Colonial on my first trip to the DR I wanted to rent a second hotel room to trick off in. A hotel with no windows, AC nor a ceiling fan inside I speak Spanish with a NYC accent dude they was trying to charge me $75 a night! Hey I thought they were going to show a mulatoo brother some love because I'm Latino also hell I was wrong. Now when I asked a woman how much the rooms should've cost she told me $40.

Posts: 2406In my 15 years in and around Sosua, I have fucked dozens of putas, and never had to deal with a pimp / tout to get the job done. Never been scammed, thanks to early GOOD advice from this Forum, when I was a newbie. (a shout out to Mr GoGo).

Now I'm happily living in a neighborhood, among locals who have become reliable friends and accept me as one of their own. I'm in touch with the puta scene, and still talk to a few of the chicas I fucked when we were all fresh and new! .
I get a side of the conversation from the point of view of the locals and the chicas, which gives me an insight into how the game is played in Sosua. I also talk to ex-pats, and the mongers who come into my local bars, looking for action. The majority are just happy to be there, but there's also a few miserable fucks who never stop complaining about everything Sosua.
That's life!

Posts: 3257I do not think so
The vast majority of women in Sosua are free lancers. I have seen almost no pimping. Most women roll in on Thursday and roll out on Sunday or Monday. I have known several hundred women and 99% were free lancers. I am sure many had boy friends and husbands. Almost all the chicas I dealt with were week end puntas. No doubt there are a few guys working with some girls but they are the acception.

I see that an certain individual from the Sousa Monger Tourism Organization (SMTO) has already replied to you.
What I noticed is that the SMTO representative did not dispute anything that you said. He confirmed it all and seems to be supporting and enabling it what might appear as not optimal behavior of certain types of individuals in Sosua. But as I read both of your posts, I did not see how certain individuals can post about "Disneyland", "Don't worry be happy" and "Enjoy the Buffet" attitudes in relationship to Sosua. When in real life it is anything but a puta pueblo that has established a reputation for itself in the Northen Hemisphere.
It has been a long time since I have been to Disneyland or Disneyworld. But when I did go I did not have to worry about scams (food prices are a straight jack but they are stated clearly), Micky was not playing the heavy and pimping out Snow White. Although the seven dwarves did roll up on me with their hands out after I copped a feel of a Disney Princess.
I will end by saying if Sosua is Disneyland, Pattaya is Disneyworld. Note the following comparison:

But I was talking about the "average sex tourist", the hundreds of thousands that visit Sosua every year and return, without incident.
Some run into scammers every where thay go. Your list of where you've been scammed is impressive. The German bars, the two Dominiucan bars on the corner, hotel room providers, the beach bars, the rental shops (As for those "rough looking Haitian and Dominican men that post up in front of Balies in the day and Rumbas at night be pimps".
Maybe motoconchos? The main form of transport in town. Maybe hustlers who can get you laid, if you go with them? In any event there's obviously a ripe market ready to be picked!
Scamming is like a tango, It takes two.
Scammers often target the disrespectful, sometimes intoxicated visitors who have a superior attitude towards the locals, and treat them like shit. On any given night, You can hear them in the bars, and outside on the street. Yelling abuse at the servers, and managers who work for dirt wages, often because they let their tabs run, don't pay attention to how many drinks they had and try to sort it out after they get loaded.
A Word of warning, NEVER get into a prolonged argument with anybody who serves you food food from a kitchen. They have their own way of getting even! LOL.
Don't be like the guy who wouldn't listen to my advice, and plays footsie all night with a puta, then get's outraged when she asks for money. LOL. He thought she was attracted to his charming personality when she raptly listened to his endless stories about his business prowess, and Grande Jefe stuff, back home.
You can see them in the lobbies, of New Garden and Europa at 2 am Having arguments with screaming putas, and disturbing the guests and the hotel staff, and often getting the cops involved.
So you have those guys around, can't miss them!
And neither can the locals, The all have a phd in street smarts that can easily spot a mark with an attitude. It actually becomes a challenge.
It starts at the airport, when the "volunteer" attempts to grab your bag, the exchange booths, the notorious, infamous ATM, and the touts pushing the taxis.
You're marked as a potential mark, before you even get into town. You might as well, wear a mommy tag on your lapel with your home phone number on it.
Scammers can always find victims. A fool and his money are soon parted, goes the old saying. Don't be that man and you will, like me, an obvious gringo, not have to worry about your pimps,"padrotes", and those rough looking locals on the corner.
I wouldn't obsess about what the putas do with the money I pay them. Babysitters, salon, nails, diapers, groceries, or 3 pimps. None of my business!
So the deal is be polite, respect the rules, and learn how to look a man or chica in the eye, and say with a smile, NO gratias.
It's my No. 1 Rule.
They can tell if you mean it or not.
No need to learn conversational Spanish unless you plan on living or doing business there, Besides, it can get a little onerous, if you also want to hang out in Pattaya, or Rio, LOL.

Posts: 6685The Cmdr makes his opinion known
The best thing about Sosua is not the chicas. It is the fact that it is a small walkable beach town that caters to international visitors. There is an excellent selection of restaurants and a wide range of cuisines available. There is a wide range of accommodations available at many different price points. There be a lotta hos there too.
I like Sosua I always have. Since 2016 when I took my first trip there. But it does not have the best beaches, restaurants or hos in the Dominican Republic. Nor in the world. That has always been and remains my opinion of the place. If that makes me a detractor so be it.
I have been all over the Dominican Republic and although some call it home (and in fact I almost had a second residence there) I wouldn't choose to live there full time. Nor is it on the top of my list of places to visit. Does not mean I won't visit. Doesn't mean I don't like Sosua. I just keep it real and call it the way I see it.
As men can we tolerate differences of opinions? We will see now won't we. LOL!

Sosua is a sex buffet. You can get almost anything thing you want and most guys understand this. There is a great deal of variety and a huge price range. Beauty queens to hood rats 7 days a week.

Posts: 502Pimping and Sosua Inflated price scams
Pimping operates in a different manner in Sosua let me just address that topic first. Sosua has plenty of pimps and it's well known that those rough looking Haitian and Dominican men that post up in front of Balies in the day and Rumbas at night be pimps. And what'll come as a shocker too you. The Haitian and Dominican women who post up in front of those German bars at night are being pimped by the Germans. The after the Haitian women get their money they give it to a mamadrote (female pimp) who in return give it to the padrote (male pimp). I said it before there's no need for a pimp to step in and address shit especially when the police will take care of the issue and I said it before you'll never win. The scams I ran into Sosua mostly happened in the German bars in particular the one that rents out rooms for sex. Blue Ice is another one that'll hit you with an inflated price and that restaurant next to blue ice will overcharge you too when it's busy. Some of those places on the beach will get you too.
About 70% of the women who walk the strip in Sosua have pimps and the rental shops run by Dominicans will try to run a scam on you also. In the Dominican Republic they see Gringos as cash cows. You got guys coming there with a budget of 3 bands to spend on pussy most Dominican men don't make that in 6 months!

I, and my puta pal, recently had a problem with a guy like that.
There's no free test drive with with these chicas. LOL.
The obvious takeaway here, is if you bring any chica onto your property or invite her into your car, or the bar stool next to you, you have instigated an interaction. If she's a drama queen you may have a problem of the sort you describe.
It may be stupid, it may be wrong, but the reality is that's how they think!
You can add that to Sudsy's list of no-nos!

The title is highly misleading but just to set the record straight I recently just came from a trip to Mexico City. And the SW scene is so terrible it makes Sosua seems like heaven. You'll burn hella gas just to find some tale, the women are extremely basis based upon race and penis size especially penis size. For a city of 23 million you find very few chicas and everything mostly happens on the internet and the ads be fake asf! They will almost never do a WhatsApp video call, they do scam try to get you to pay a deposit or send them some money for a taxi and some of those ho's are charging between $150-$800 and they don't even have a car! And the chicas will also try to bum you out of drinks in the strip club and try to make you seem cheap because of your race. Hell they don't ask the Mexican men for shit. If you planning on traveling to Mexico City for sex I'll truly avoid this place! With that being said I rather spend my money in Sosua than CDX any day on women!
