Fully agreed! I also just had the chance to visit Kira Kira today, as a point of comparison. From my single data point, Kira Kira had more basic facilities, and generally much older girls. (I saw Lemon, who gave great service, and I enjoyed her large erasers, but she appeared 7-10 years older than listed). I would assess the girls at Barubola as overall much better. The value really depends though. At 26 K for 70 minutes vs 61 K+ for 90 minutes it really depends on what you have and what you're after.

I should mention that at Barubola I saw Mako Shiina. Her face was pretty but nothing special, but her body was absolutely perfect. One of the most gorgeous bodies I have ever seen.

If they are advertising massage, they will give you a massage.

If you want a handjob, find that. They're obviously different. Shibuya has some but you need to navigate Japanese website for them. I noticed Manzoku don't even bother advertising them since they are low margin (they used to).

Offering handjobs, blowjobs, or anal sex for money is legal in Japan so there is not some hidden messaging going on here. You can just ask the girl. Often they get customers for massage by using some appeal like cute outfits (including maid outfits), with cute girls, or some other gimmick. When it comes to handjobs, the girls don't usually stand outside. But there are sometimes independents however they have to be discreet since there is usually some other factor (ex. Their visa doesn't allow this work and they are operating out of some apartment rather than a legit business so can't allow landlord to know). Typically Chinese but any foreigner. Handjobs for money are legal, working as a foreigner without permission is not.

I've had the chance to visit Barubola Marine Blue in Shinjuku in the last month, and a couple of times earlier this year. If you're looking for a foreigner-friendly soapland experience and are willing and able to pay, I can recommend it. They put a 20 K gaijin tax up, and are very upfront about it, so it's 60 k+ for 90 minutes. Affordable compared to the huge rip-off that is Don Juan, but otherwise. Very, very pricey.

However, on each of my visits, the girls have been gorgeous, and very accommodating.

Thanks for the review. Just want to add a few important details. They have a small ( 9%) discount for early mornings so if somehow you are there 6 am-10 am (morning wood?) it is -2000 yen for 50 minutes and -5000 yen for 90 minutes. However, some girls do not work those hours. Note that there can be a big variation in wait time depending on which girl you choose. I won't go into the different reasons but 5 to 40 minutes sounds about right.

They are quite explicit that they are both open to foreigners and also add on a 20,000 yen foreigner tax. There are also other options such as 15 minute time extension, some girls are premium (adding 1000 to 6000), etc. The 20,000 yen foreigner tax is regardless of 50/90/120 minute choice, and as mentioned 90 is probably a good place to start if you want the full soap experience. 120 if you are multi-shot and long-lasting etc. The foreigner tax is even on the Japanese page so it is not like this is just a language test. It is in some ways a risk tax for them since their most important criteria is "no trouble". You can see their rules / prohibitions list for everyone are risk related. The rules are the bare minimum of decency so if you weren't going to follow them before being told then honestly soapland is not for you anyways.

For those curious, the rules are pretty much the same at every shop:
Insulting / Violence against women.
Any sort of act that is disliked by women.
Any kind of act of stalking women.
Any members of a gang member or similar people are not allowed.
Usage by anyone in the same industry.
Headhunting or any act that is similar.
People who are drunk or is mentally unstable.
Any suspicion of possession or usage of drugs.
Anyone with or suspicion of sexually transmitted disease.
Lack of cleanliness.
Any other acts that the store may consider prohibited.
Acts that do not follow our instructions.
Acts that do not use hygiene products.

Notice that ugliness is not a factor. If you act like a normal person to the girls they will worship you just the same. Do not disrespect the girls that won't work anywhere in the world.

I've been a bit of a lurker here, trying to understand the Japanese scene from the outside. It's not easy. Here's an attempt to give back.

However, on each of my visits, the girls have been gorgeous, and very accommodating. My Japanese is very limited, and so we used phone translation extensively, which worked well. As a newbie, you can just let the girl lead. From the sitting shower where you are thoroughly scrubbed, to the mutual bath, to slippery mat play, to bed time. They're great.

If you want to try it all, you'll need 120 minutes and some stamina. Otherwise, in 90 minutes, you generally have time for either bed or mat, but not both. 50 minutes is probably just some shower and bed time.

I have learned through experience that the house recommendations here are spot on. They're not trying to mislead you. They genuinely know who's great. The girls I have seen are mostly early to mid 20's in age, with one who was probably early 30's and by far the best service to make up for her slightly older age.

I don't believe it's possible to make a reservation as a foreigner. I am asked if I have one when I walk in, and then when I don't, I am always led to a waiting room. Sometimes I am alone, sometimes I am there with other men. Usually all Japanese, with maybe one other foreigner e. G. Chinese guy. Then they come with cards of who is available. Even as a walk-in, there have always been at least 2-3 options, with waiting times ranging from 5 to 40 minutes. Payment is made, they go over the rules (which are common-sense -- come on guys, don't be an ass), and then they hand you a number card.

I do recommend, although once you've added the Gaijin tax the price is a bit much. On my next visit I will spend some time looking at some of the lower cost options to compare.

I've always used Uber while in Japan. The only difference is that the traditional taxi service is linked with it, so a real taxi will show up.

I've also heard about S. Ride, but I've never personally used it.

Most people will tell you to avoid taxis in Japan as they're more expensive than a lot of other places around the world, but with much of Japan's public transit absolutely shutting down around midnight or so, when you're in a pinch. You're in a pinch.

I have a different type of question. I will be visiting Japan in a couple of months and was wondering if someone can recommend a Konyoku onsen near Tokyo. I have done quite a bit of reading and to be honest it is very confusing. Anywhere I can take a day trip and return back to Tokyo at a reasonable evening time. I prefer a onsen that you don't wear a swim suit. Nothing lude just want to experience the real thing. Hopefully I won't get burned for putting this into this category. Thanks in advance. Don't tip the girls. You can buy them a girl's drink. That's basically the system. Some girls don't even ask for a drink but if things are going well most will. Some people do, some people don't.

At every club I went it is common to exchange contact info, however you should not assume it is to meet. It is mostly a waste of time, to give an illusion of intimacy. I only find it useful to get contact if I want to know a girl's schedule, since most girls don't work every day or consistently. This is an oppai pub, the girls you meet here are generally not going to meet you outside the club. I'm sure a couple do, but I would not count on it. The main purpose is so they can ask you back to the club.

In my opinion, save your money and just see her again a the club. If you are thinking of offering an extra high rate to take a girl out, well that's exactly what you're not supposed to do. There's a good chance it'll be a no, then it's awkward and you never see her again even though you like her. Don't fall in love either. You do not get your money's worth in those situations, though I'm sure many people believe they do at first.

I'm sure you must have some basic Japanese, the more the better. Stick to Luxe if you are just starting out, they are used to it.
