TL; DR.

1. Khelif had been boxing for years without a hitch up until she defeated a Russian rising star Azalia Amineva (previously undefeated).

2. A few days after, Khelif was abruptly disqualified by a shady organization called IBA run by Russian national and Putin's friend Umar Kremlev.

3. Khelif's disqualification meant that Amineva retained her undefeated status.

4. In 2022, after a series of scandals, the IOS permanently banished IBA from the Olympics.

The most powerful organization in amateur boxing for decades is now governing a reduced roster of national federations while keeping up its fight with the IOC. Nearly three dozen nations, including nearly all of the prominent Western boxing teams, have taken the extraordinary step of leaving the IBA to form World Boxing, a new governing body, in a final attempt to keep boxing in the 2028 Olympics.

AIBAs final Olympic downfall was triggered about six years ago when it elected president Gafur Rakhimov, an Uzbek businessman described by the U.S. Treasury Department as an organized crime boss. Rakhimov, who denies those allegations, finally resigned in July 2019, a month after the IOC suspended ties.

The group changed its name and elected Kremlev, a Russian boxing functionary and an acquaintance of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Despite Harris initial momentum, she and Trump are still in tight race that could be decided by just a slim margin of voters in November. That statistical dead-heat is why the Harris campaign is targeting undecided Republicans within who may be persuadable against their partys nominee.

It turns out to be much easier to lie about crowd size at those rallies when they are staged outdoors in public parks, public beaches, public fairgrounds, roadside fields, etc where passersby and daytrippers are likely to show up anyway, might be drawn by curiosity to the source of the loud music and shouting along with arial photos to "support" the claim than in those enclosed environments and venues.

But then everyone faces a higher risk of being shot and killed by a Loony Repub with an AR-15 practically bought and handed to him or her at birth thanks to Repub Party Family Values policy. So there is that major downside.

If I am president and the FBI does not notify me about a raid of a political opponent, whoever gave the okay is fired. Period. I would demand that the DOJ be kept objective.
