One thing I noticed in Pattaya, especially the expat community: they love to complain about the current state of Soi 6 - loud, shit music, more expensive, no privacy, picky ladies, drink mercenaries, barfine prices.

However, there are places (gentlemen clubs) that are exactly the opposite: good music, not too loud, cheaper, closed doors, very friendly ladies, often with a single drink you get to touch / see / finger. And these places are EMPTY. Almost every time I am one of 2-3 customers, sometimes I'm the only one. I enjoy that privacy and naughtiness, but obviously these places can't compete with Soi 6 in quality / quantity of ladies. Actually being this empty I'm surprised they can keep the few ladies that are there.

I can have good fun in both types of places, but I fail to understand why all the veteran whiners simply don't support the venues that try to keep it the old way.

How much is the barfine at Mod's Bar in Soi 6?

I asked them. They said 3,000 Baht early plus 10 lady drinks.

1,500 Baht barfine at 9 pm plus whatever remaining drinks from the quota of 10.

So if you went at 9 pm and the girl has had 4 drinks from someone else, then you will have to buy her 6 lady drinks plus 1,500 Baht barfine fee.

Does any of this sound right?

I went to Flirt. They said 1,500 Baht barfine at 10 pm (They open an hour later at 4 pm.) No need to buy drinks. But one or two drinks would be appreciated.

Aom is my good friend. The cashier / moma son of Modis bar. All the soi 6 bars in the night wish group do not have a minimum drink quota to buy the girls if you want to fuck them. Go to the ST room upstairs with no issues. 1500-2000ST plus room. If you are a handsome man, you can maybe get for 1000 with certain ladies but difficult. Long time is a different story. I don't care what anyone tells you from the board, but Long time BF at all nightwish bar on Soi 6 is 2000-2500 Baht starting from when the bar opens at 3-4 PM. The bar fine slowly drops in price until the bar closes. Every bar will slightly modify this depending on many factors. Then there is the girls's fee. Ranging from 2500 LT up. Now about mandatory drinks needing to be bought for the girl to bar fine her long time. The girl is not obligated to go with any customer LT or ST. Therefore, if they decide they want you to buy a few drinks before going LT, there is nothing you can do about it. Either do it or don't. Just realize that you will not be looked upon as a good customer if you walk in and buy one lady drink and then try to bar fine the girl LT.

I know it sucks, but if the bar does make these subtle regulations, some bars would have no girls after 9 PM, and the bar would make very little money and would close down. Then where would you go? Think about it. If you buy 1 beer at say 80-100 Baht. Then you buy one lady drink at 160 Baht. Then you bar fine the girl for lets say 500-700 Baht and take the girl out of the bar, she does not make her drink quota, her salary is reduced for her 10 day contract and the bar closes. Why? Because they pay the girl's reduced salary, and get only 1 customer drink, one lady drink, and a small bar fine with maybe 2/10 customers who bar fine. This business model won't work. The bar will be closed faster than my next bar fine will say " Cum inside me" lol.

I say this to those board members "so what". I don't care what you think. We are just talking simple math here and simple business sense.

My advice to anyone who complains about a bar fine being too expensive, complains about buying lady drinks and drink queens, or complains about the ST or LT fees from girls working in a bar or go go, you should just stop going to the bars and clubs. There are beach road girls, Freelancers on TF and Tinder, gents clubs, plus cheap beer bars. Just stop going to Soi 6, walking street, and LK metro and so on. Pattaya has many options for different budgets.

The problem is guys look on line and see the photos of the girls working on Soi 6 for example, fall in love with their photos, then come on these message boards and forums and get info on pricing. However, that info on pricing turns out to not be accurate. Why? Because the poster posts what he is willing to pay and passes that off as what the going rates actually are. That is creating false expectations on price for everyone else. Then you have the old timers who won't pay the new pricing no matter what. The price needs to be the same as it was 10 years ago. When you say the word inflation, you get them claiming g there is no such thing in Pattaya and everything is even cheaper than it was 10 years ago today. Thats a whole other topic of its own so I better not keep on this or Mr. E or Explorer will have a fit lol.

Conclusion. If you don't like the prices at a bar, just leave and don't go back. There are plenty of other options. For example, head to WS at 2 AM. You will find FLs in 808 that you can take for 2000-2500 LT and many are just coming off shift from soi 6 and go looking for customers.No bar fine and no lady drinks. End of story.

The three bars on that end (Mod's, Omega, and 3 Angels) do not have an expat manager. There is no need for one.

Like I said before, all the customers are Asian. At least 99%. They don't seem to have an Asian manager either.

I just need someone else to go to Mod's and inquire about their barfine fees.

I mean you can request to talk to someone above the mamasan, there are a few people that roam the bars to fix these problems. I bet they wouldn't be happy with that.

The same for other bar groups (for example the one from Cooters, Lalaland, Wetsix etc).

When something like this happens ask to talk to a boss / supervisor, most of these bars on the right hand side have one.

Maybe you would have a point if this was not Thailand, where the government is the main entity of dual-pricing and ripoffs. Foreigners are charged exorbitantly more than Thais at national parks and attractions. Taxi drivers, vendors, and condo sellers are not in charge of those prices. The government that just told you it is wrong to rip foreigners off is in the business of ripping foreigners off.

There was also a bill in progress that foreigners should be charged 300 baht when entering the country. I am in a facebook group about dual pricing in Thailand. Here is a picture of article from 4 years ago when the government said we must let expats pay the same price as citizens since they live here too. Since that article in 2020, it has been crickets on that matter.

There are museums around the world that charge different prices, I think that is fair, why? Because it is based on taxes, locals pay taxes to build and maintain them, that is their entry fee.

It is not based on race or nationality.

Just like BB wrote they are doing it Japan now, why? The yen is "low", so its getting flooded with people trying to help their economy and have more value for their USD or euro.

Both these bars are from Nightwish. I thought all of the Nightwish bars are using the same prices for everything (room fee, price of drinks, price of LD and price of BF). That's the first time I hear some differences among some of their bars.

So either Mod's tried to scam you or they've got different policies. I cannot say, I've never been in this one.

The three bars at the Second Road side of Soi 6 (3 Angels, Omega, and Mod's) felt like Little Asia.

All the customers were chain-smoking Asians who mostly came in groups. They were buying racks of shots for the girls, while playing those stupid games.

If Mod's tried to scam me, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to do that to me in Pattaya.

I was there last month. It was quiet, but there were some young spinners.

To each his own, when I read reports here don't get me wrong I enjoy them greatly it is a lesson in how to properly write first and foremost. LOL at this point in my life where lots of stuff isn't a priority whenever I'm out and about I can take or leave it as it comes.

While walking pass Farenhelt ran nto a old showgirl from Bac, she was standing in front working her former place IIvy had closed space rented out by XS, name new club Chicks. Sad, they are human scrambling for any job she is waiting for new opening on Soi 15, New Shark LOL to open on 5th, inside XS, packed wall to wall mostly Asian Chinese from the Mandarin. As XS grows I see more farang investor quietly viewing the operation. For whatever reason I get a bit of respect a few old friends came up to say Hello, no drinks, order a draft, took a sip 20 minutes top out, unless you get a good seat tough to view girls great they have lots of girls but tough to view.

Off to Pinup, must be having a party decoration made the place look cheap, got a decent set door guy jump up said papa, tonight got.

Check my small man bag handed us off to another guy inside get Papa a good seat not baf crowded wall to wall, order a draft again I felt the lineup wasnt equal to XS, 15 minutes top out of there note when you order a draft waiters will come by and constantly check your bin to see when you arrived.

Off to Soi Potholes to see what old friends is doing next to Maggie M, always a decent time at well know Pothole Queen AMON bar surprising some not bad lookers.

GoGos in time I feel Owner / Investor will dominate basically kill.

Themselves will end up pricing themselve like the Russian clubs.
