I didn't tell the whole story before. But I will tell it now. I went to Mod's Bar at around 4 pm. It was my first time there. Over a drink, I asked the girl how much the barfine is. And she said 3,000 Baht plus ten lady drinks. At 9 pm, the 3,000 Baht goes down to 1,500 Baht. I tell her that I will be back at 9 pm to barfine her longtime. She says she will wait for me. I do not know if she really meant it or not.

At 9 pm, I return to Mod's and to my surprise, the girl is standing at the front of the bar. I tell her I will pay her barfine. She then tells me that she has six drinks left, which means that I have to buy her six drinks plus pay 1,500 barfine fee. The girl says she will not drink the six lady drinks.

Can you see where this is going? I don't have a problem with buying a few drinks before a LT barfine. But this is not the same.

So I get a bill of 2,520 Baht. I did not order any drinks and no drinks were brought to the table. I expected to be charged for six 160 Baht drinks plus 1,500 Baht. But I got charged for six 170 Baht shots. Again, I did not order any shots for the girl. And no six shot drinks were brought to the table. Your good friend should have at least had the decency to charge me for six 160 Baht drinks, drinks that never existed in the first place.

Now, is this how you described it to all of us?

Your scammer friend is enforcing a ten drink quota that does not exist. She is also charging customers for drinks that were never ordered. On top of that, she is charging for drinks that were never prepared in the first place.

Does this sound like sound business practice to you?

I know what your friend is doing. This Bryan Flowers guy creates competition among his many bars. So Aom is trying to become the number one branch in terms of revenue. That will secure her job and possibly a pay raise in the future. I hear Flowers likes to fire managers at poorly performing bars..

Why not just use Thai Friendly?

I've been here almost 3 weeks now and I've only been using TF to source my providers. I've been paying on average 1200 baht per session and the majority of them are BBFS.

I never pay for no stupid lady drinks or even regular drinks for that matter. If I want a drink I go to Tops Daily where they sell the big green bottles of Singha beer for 64 baht.

The whole concept of barfines and lady drinks is absurd.

But to each his own I suppose.

From what you've said (on top of the clear scam), it seems that the price of their barfine has gone up too.

It seems to be now 3000 during the day, 1500 past 9 or 10, and probably 1000 or 1200 past midnight. It used to be (a few months ago) 2500 during the day, 1250 past 9 or 10 and 800 past midnight.

Once again, the more expensive party-atmosphere place rammed with ladies clearly triumphs.

Aom is my good friend. The cashier / moma son of Modis bar. All the soi 6 bars in the night wish group do not have a minimum drink quota to buy the girls if you want to fuck them. Go to the ST room upstairs with no issues. 1500-2000ST plus room. If you are a handsome man, you can maybe get for 1000 with certain ladies but difficult. Long time is a different story. I don't care what anyone tells you from the board, but Long time BF at all nightwish bar on Soi 6 is 2000-2500 Baht starting from when the bar opens at 3-4 PM. The bar fine slowly drops in price until the bar closes. Every bar will slightly modify this depending on many factors. Then there is the girls's fee. Ranging from 2500 LT up. Now about mandatory drinks needing to be bought for the girl to bar fine her long time. The girl is not obligated to go with any customer LT or ST. Therefore, if they decide they want you to buy a few drinks before going LT, there is nothing you can do about it. Either do it or don't. Just realize that you will not be looked upon as a good customer if you walk in and buy one lady drink and then try to bar fine the girl LT.

I know it sucks, but if the bar does make these subtle regulations, some bars would have no girls after 9 PM, and the bar would make very little money and would close down. Then where would you go? Think about it. If you buy 1 beer at say 80-100 Baht. Then you buy one lady drink at 160 Baht. Then you bar fine the girl for lets say 500-700 Baht and take the girl out of the bar, she does not make her drink quota, her salary is reduced for her 10 day contract and the bar closes. Why? Because they pay the girl's reduced salary, and get only 1 customer drink, one lady drink, and a small bar fine with maybe 2/10 customers who bar fine. This business model won't work. The bar will be closed faster than my next bar fine will say " Cum inside me" lol.

My advice to anyone who complains about a bar fine being too expensive, complains about buying lady drinks and drink queens, or complains about the ST or LT fees from girls working in a bar or go go, you should just stop going to the bars and clubs. There are beach road girls, Freelancers on TF and Tinder, gents clubs, plus cheap beer bars. Just stop going to Soi 6, walking street, and LK metro and so on. Pattaya has many options for different budgets.

The problem is guys look on line and see the photos of the girls working on Soi 6 for example, fall in love with their photos, then come on these message boards and forums and get info on pricing. However, that info on pricing turns out to not be accurate. Why? Because the poster posts what he is willing to pay and passes that off as what the going rates actually are. That is creating false expectations on price for everyone else. Then you have the old timers who won't pay the new pricing no matter what. The price needs to be the same as it was 10 years ago. When you say the word inflation, you get them claiming g there is no such thing in Pattaya and everything is even cheaper than it was 10 years ago today. Thats a whole other topic of its own so I better not keep on this or Mr. E or Explorer will have a fit lol.

Conclusion. If you don't like the prices at a bar, just leave and don't go back. There are plenty of other options. For example, head to WS at 2 AM. You will find FLs in 808 that you can take for 2000-2500 LT and many are just coming off shift from soi 6 and go looking for customers.No bar fine and no lady drinks. End of story.

About the girl, I don't think she is a scammer. She never complained and she never asked me for anything. But of course, she benefited a lot from the scam as well.

One thing I noticed in Pattaya, especially the expat community: they love to complain about the current state of Soi 6 - loud, shit music, more expensive, no privacy, picky ladies, drink mercenaries, barfine prices.

I can have good fun in both types of places, but I fail to understand why all the veteran whiners simply don't support the venues that try to keep it the old way.

Visitors have two factors against them. The wheels up clock is ticking and they are on the tourist economy. Now if you are a visitor and you speak Thai and you have unlimited amounts of time when you visit then I apologize. I am not speaking to you. But it has pretty much been my experience that visitor don't know shit about Pattaya. I have a set of friends that were just here. They are the ones that introduced me to Pattaya. They have been coming to Pattaya for years. They come back and ask me to show them MY Pattaya. And I did. And they really enjoyed themselves. I took them places they had simply never bothered to venture out to see.

I don't consider myself an expat. And you do not find me complaining up in here about the girl, venues and offerings that are available in Pattaya. My complaints are with the posters. And I make my opinions very clear in the Rants Thread. But what I have learned during my long visit to Pattaya is that the longer I am here the more that I learn. When I first arrived I was hunting for pussy. Today I don't have enough time or dick to give it to all the girls that are offering it to me. And at my there are plenty available at my price point.

I went to Kings Club. I reported a bad experience. But any place can have a bad day. I returned and had an off the chain experience. Had I just got my panties in a knot (like some of the mother fuckers posting up in here) I would have stormed out never to return. That would have been my loss. LOL!. If I had listened to the advice being given I would not have had the outstanding experience I did later. Even deciding to make it a regular stop on my list.

So my thoughts are complain all you like. I simply review of the posting history of an individual will give you insight into the type of poster they are. I am the type of poster that rubs people the wrong way. So they put me on ignore. To each their own. Type 1 - depressing: rundown venues with fat / old birds that sometimes latch onto you and won't go away even when you don't buy anything, a DJ playing insufferable remixes that aren't better than any random youtube beat, few customers that sit on a single beer and leave, with some luck you can find diamonds in the rough.

Type 2 - places rammed with ladies and customers, more expensive, barely any place to seat, 3 teams of over 30 ladies taking turns in a crammed stage, lots of ladies have silicon tits and lips, everything looks well maintained and controlled, some ladies are friendly some are more "picky". I doubt I could get any pussy in these places for under 5-6 k (including drink / BF).

Once again, the more expensive party-atmosphere place rammed with ladies clearly triumphs.

As an expat, I agree as they say let your feet do the talking. BUT, when you live or visit it would be crazy if one writes it off completely, as for Six I speak for myself, I've pretty much written it off plus I've never been one to sit outside and drink. When I did visit I always took the girl inside like Red Point, today most are just opened not my thing. Once or twice a year with time on my hands I do visit walk up and down to see if anything has changed once doing the late afternoons and at night.

But as you noted, right now GC and for me massage are the venue I visit when it is time to let LBM out for a walk.

I have a great time going to agogos and Soi 6 without ever bar fining a girl. I find ladies drinks to be inexpensive fun when a girl is grinding on your naked for hours on end. I do not need someone to tell me what I should and not be doing. Or how I should be enjoying myself at the venues I choose to frequent

If I do not like the prices in a venue I simply do not partake in the sexual offerings. I once got clowned up in here when I said "if I go out to have fun I do not pay attention to drink prices because I want to enjoy myself. ". I think the levels of some bar fines are excessive. But even so, sometime the chemistry I share with the girls up in the venue almost makes me want to pay it. 1,500 Baht barfine at 9 pm plus whatever remaining drinks from the quota of 10.

So if you went at 9 pm and the girl has had 4 drinks from someone else, then you will have to buy her 6 lady drinks plus 1,500 Baht barfine fee.

I don't have proof. But I think it's the Thai mamasan at Mod's instructing the girls to sell at least ten lady drinks every night.

The three bars on that end (Mod's, Omega, and 3 Angels) do not have an expat manager. There is no need for one.

Like I said before, all the customers are Asian. At least 99%. They don't seem to have an Asian manager either.

I just need someone else to go to Mod's and inquire about their barfine fees.

I mean you can request to talk to someone above the mamasan, there are a few people that roam the bars to fix these problems. I bet they wouldn't be happy with that.

The same for other bar groups (for example the one from Cooters, Lalaland, Wetsix etc).
