Hi all,
I must admit that the responses to Medellin's post on average seem very harsh to me. He did make a good point that places reported on are quite limited considering the multitude of available options in Jakarta. As correctly stated by BB there are hundreds of places that offer services we like).
In my view:
Classic / Travel / KI offer a lot of convenience since reasonably close (major benefit in Jakarta!) and a large selection of girls at low cost. Even local boards / telegram groups often refer to Classic as "Legend Place".
Emporium (&1001) - which I have not been to yet. Are very close nearby and offer a different type of experience with more "pampering" as part of the package. This is closer to the scene that Medellin is referencing, however the upper end in terms of quality / facilities which comes at a cost (naturally). Again, as pointed out by many: distance / vicinity is a major benefit.
So I would say it is absolutely natural that these places get most of the attention, particularly in recent posts.
Having said that:
I have commented before on the SPA scene outside of Emporium and 1001 and subjectively do believe that it is going a bit too much under the radar. It is more geared towards residents / locals (incl. 99% of communication etc. Being only available in Bahasa), however I can confirm that there is a very active local telegram community where patrons as well as GROs (Guest Relation Officers) and Managers / Papasans / Mamasans share information including fotos, availability, recommendations for certain services (those mainly would be 1 to 1, less so in the public groups. Some also issue Field Reports in sub-sections of their telegram groups. Next to Spas these also e. G. Cover places like Mega Ayu / Royal VIP in KI (even Classic, however they don't bother issuing roster / pictures etc, no need for them). Locals regularly pre-book their favourites in these locations via telegram with GRO / Mamasan.
For me personally (attention: subjective view): this scene is simply more tricky to navigate and takes more time getting used to. For me, by now the share of times I visit the SPAs vs. Classic / Travel / CJs / BATS has increased significantly, since I usually visit on my own and personally believe that Classic etc. Are more fun with a wingman (since I am a rather quiet person myself) whereas in the SPA scene I enjoy relaxing in hot / cold pool, 1-2 sauna rounds as well as being "pampered" with a decent massage leading into more fun.
But that is simply a subjective personal preference, what is great in Jakarta is that you have these different options.
Long story short:
As I started with, I think in the core Medellin wasn't wrong, the. Recent. Reports offer limited range, however the locations are easy, convenient and suitable for visitors whereas a lot of other options are more complicated to navigate, hence in my view take more time getting used to and are more suitable for residents, so to me it makes perfect sense that the majority of reports focus on Classic / KI and Emporium as flavor of the day with the benefit of being just next door to Classic.
Looking forward to spending some time in good old Jakarta soon!

Posts: 1006Bb your reply is from a man with tons of experience, now I read our man from Medellin has not even visited Jakarta, leave alone visiting the places he mentioned. What a guy, LOL. Trolling is justified, yes the horrible traffic makes it very difficult, Classic to KC in itself takes about 50-60 min. Idea is to find more such places like Classic, Travel, Emporium, 1001, KC, KI.

Posts: 6734There are 100's of spas scattered around Jakarta, many in West Jakarta. Feel free to check them out on your next visit but imo they are not worth the time and taxi money unless you are nearby. My days are over for that. I even stayed in West Jakarta for a few days back in 2017 or 2018 to check out quite a few spas and concluded I'll stick to the popular places with tons of girls. The only place I have repeated at since in West Jakarta is New Medika.

Now I see Medellin65 has not been to Jakarta which is likely the reason he's listing places way too far from where most, if not all, of us tourists stay. I guess he doesn't realize there are spots in Jakarta where it can take up to 30 minutes to go a km.
Thanks LoveItHere for looking the places up. As I suspected these places are far.

Near the airport. Too far.
DE Natsu Lounge.
Center of Block M. CJ / BATS area. Is sex available?
DE Momo lounge.

Romeo Health Massage.
Directly south of the airport in South Tangerang. 31 km from Classic.
Zaigon Spa & Lounge.
Someone had a bad experience on another site just last week. Most reports are bad that I have found. They want you to choose by photo which will be photoshopped and no way to see if you have chemistry. I believe they are in the 600 k realm.
XXXXX.
Kelapa Gading is only 11 km with many different places in a group and I gave prices for most of them. But you guys are interested in places that are much further and all over the city? Brilliant waste of time.
So the answer is that the places you listed are scattered through the city and at far distances.

I would like to clarify one thing.
I have never been to Jakarta and I am planning my 2 week trip for March.
I have traveled many times in Southeast Asia and I have not always used my method so as not to waste opportunities and time. First of all, I inform myself on forums from other people's experiences without limiting myself to just that. Then I check online and on social media (instagram, telegram, etc.), I contact the administrators of the premises or possibly the GROs on Wapp with the aim of obtaining the most detailed and recent information. I often also get access to private links with photos and videos of the therapists in addition to the price list and promotions.
I am convinced that to know that fire burns you do not need to put your hand on the flame, just as to know that ice is cold you do not necessarily have to put your hand in the freezer.
Direct experience is important but so is using all the information available in any way, this is to not have a limited vision of everything.

BB, I suggest if someone has made a point or has recommended new places we should explore and expand the options available to us rather than shoot the messenger. Just my point, can some kind soul help and advise on the list shared. These are definitely new for me and I don't mind checking them out in my next trip. But the worsening city traffic makes it almost impossible.

Posts: 985Yup. Mainly because of your raving of Jakarta, I will go there this coming December. And I will go to Classic and Emporium, clubs that has a lot of reviews, where I should feel comfortable.

Posts: 2125You know that's a really good question. I'm currently in Thailand actually and I'm having great success with TF. I'm planning on coming to Jakarta next after Thailand so I've been doing months of research but I haven't read anything here about a TF equivalent in Indonesia. I do know the Philippines has one called Pina Love, however.

All, I arrive back in Jakarta October 3. Interested to meet members for a drink and chat. Especially on the nights of the 3rd or 4th as East Coast USA jet lag will have me up and out on the town all night.
PM me if interested. Capt. Bob.

Posts: 6734Have you been to all these places or is this your trip preparation? I wasn't able to locate your reviews of these places.

I did understand your original question. The reason you're seeing guys review mainly Classic and Emporium (+1001) now is because they're the flavor of the day. Most of the reviews done lately are from new posters on their first trip to Jakarta, usually on a short one week trial visit. They will go to where guys are providing good feedback.

Posts: 978See what you did? You got poor Gabacho ready to pee himself. I do not think you have ever done the FLs here but since you drove by and made a comment, Gabacho made you an instant specialist.

Please tell me you will be here before October 11. I want to walk with you on your first night in FL Heaven. I would like to walk on the side of the street at one-third Volterra's speed on the motorcycle. You pick out all the FLs and tell me which ones are pretty and not on drugs. Then we will walk up to them and you do your thing. I will stand back at a distance at first in case the girls are not FLs and run away or start yelling at you. Because maybe just maybe that girl just standing there is waiting for her friend, taxi, or stopped to text or read her messages. My hope is you either blow a fuse or start crying. Curious how you think some guy driving by knows more than all the guys that have already answered your questions. Myself included.
