Posts: 152Nice trip report- thanks! I also stay in the Manga Besar area, and Sparks was always my go to hotel. Last trip I moved across the street to the Luminor- nicer hotel and fewer mosquitos for a few bucks more- no issues bringing girls back.

Same 300 k+ tip as Lokisari, but better selection- keep your eyes open to see if they've come back. First time I found one through a Moto tout- had to tip him 50 and also pay him 20 for transport of the girl back to my hotel. But got a cute, submissive braces wearing fresh looking 21 yr old for less than 500 k all in- recommended. I did have to pay the 300 k to the pump in the van to take the girl though. In general, I hate paying in advance, but for a smaller amount I'll risk it.

Posts: 2125When going to destinations such as Jakarta you should aim to only spend about $100 usd worth of local currency a day. That's 1,570,000 rupiah at the current exchange rate. That's like 4 sessions at classic with money left over for street food. Just using classic as an example but there are many places where you can session for 400 mil a pop.

So not sure which ATM you are using that's dispensing small denomination bills but if you were to get money at the ATMs that dispense 100 k notes then $100 usd would be about 15 bills which is hardly a "brick" in fact in Colombia I have kept more than 15 50 k notes in my wallet and I was still able to fold it just fine.
And also, in my experience, it's better to have smaller denomination bills anyways because people don't always have change for the larger bills especially when buying stuff in the street then you're standing around waiting for them to find change.

Posts: 152Lots of Indo food overseas
There a smaller Indonesian expat community, thus fewer overseas Indonesian restaurants. But most major cities will have a few Indonesian restaurants. And of course, Holland is famous for its Indonesian food- you see Rijsttafel everywhere.

Posts: 257Jakarta Trip Report Oct 11-16th
I took a Garuda Indonesia flight from Seoul to Jakarta, and let me tell you, the flight attendants were sexy in the dress, I can't wait to reach Jakarta and had a vibe this trip was off to a fantastic start. Takeoff, landing, customs, immigration, and the Blue Bird taxi ride from the airport to Sparks Life hotel all went smoothly. I arrived at my hotel around 5 pm, took a quick shower, and jumped right into action.
Day 0 – I first headed to my favorite Kota Indah bar, VFOUR. I love the setup there, with tables in two categories—400 k and 800 k. Each table had a few girls, made me feel like a kid in a candy store. First, I picked a cute tall girl with voluptuous breasts and sexy ass. She looked like Korean, was awesome, DFK, GFE, amazing, let me cum on her breasts. After resting briefly, I picked a Sundanese girl, she was alright, not as good as the first one. Afterward, I explored some other bars in the complex. The problem with most Kota Indah bars, the girls are grouped like sardines, hard to take a good look or have a small talk before the deed. There was one girl at MTR2 I really liked, but she mentioned she was waiting on a customer—who knows. Then I went to Sari Ayu and picked a slim, petite, sassy smile, OMG, she didn't disappoint me at all. I loved her sloppy tongue all over me.
Day 1 – After breakfast, I saw the hotel offers an in-house massage service. The therapists wait next to the reception desk and come directly to your room upon request. During my stay, I saw at least four different therapists at various times, all in uniform, young, sexy. I decided to give it a try. Within 10 minutes, the girl showed up, got 90 minutes massage for 300 K. It was a good massage, no sign of extras, but she didn't mind my occasional groping her ass. I asked her if she would be open for more, but she was shy and declined. Tipped her 100 K. She smiled at me a few times as I walked by the front desk during my stay. I took a walk to Lokasari plaza and had a haircut, manicure, pedicure, facial, and had lunch at Pizza Hut. Later afternoon, I headed to Hotel Classic Terminal 2 and spent at least five hours there, meeting with three different girls one after another, with breaks in between. The young girls at Classic are great to pin down to have at them. That night I went to Lokasari and brought a girl to my hotel. She was young, short, thick, wore braces, paid 300 K. She is a good fuck and likes to ride, but not a GFE, DFK type. She gave her number, and offered to bring her friend for threesome the next night, but it didn't interest me.
Day 2 – After breakfast, I decided to try the Lokasari sauna & spa at the Lokasari plaza. The price is 210 k for 90 minutes for massage and spa. A heavier-set therapist was sent to my room, and although I wanted to reject and ask for a different therapist, I was already naked on the massage table. The massage itself was fairly strong and average, she begged me to get HJ for 100 k, again reluctantly accepted. After spending sometime in the sauna, I left, Next time, I'll remember to ask to see therapist in advance. That evening I decided to check out the South Jakarta scene and took a Grab to Mr Braid. It was at least 40 minutes ride passing by CJs, Blok M. At Braid, there were at least 25 girls, I went with a Latina looking girl, she was alright, light DFK, soft breasts and pussy. While the girls are attractive and older and younger mixed here, the overall setup felt a bit uninviting, more of point and shoot. You can refer to my previous review on this bar for more details. From there, I hit Kota Indah complex and had one girl with killer body and ass from VFOUR, but she was enthusiastic at first but went tired within few minutes, then went to MTR2 and picked a short, thick, submissive girl. She was alright. That night, I hit the Exito lounge at the hotel I was staying, there was DJ / Live Music / Karaoke every night. There were regular customers, but also spotted a few FLs, I liked one woman, invited her for a drink, but her wing girl insisted that she join her with me. I didn't take the bait, had a feeling that this may be setup by the hotel to scam customers to buy drinks.
Day 3 – In the morning, I had a massage at Angelina Reflexy in Lokasari Plaza, it was a professional massage, 60 minutes for 150 K and tipped 50 K. In the afternoon, I took a side trip to Bandung on Whoosh train, largely exploring the places LoveItHere69 posted from his trip. I visited the shady narrow back alley brothels behind the'Sovia hotel. I went there to see the talent, didn't partake. There were men standing at every entrance to street offered to take me inside. Even though the street and men looked bit rough, it was completely safe. Only one guy spoke decent English. The guy took me to at least four houses where 5-8 girls were waiting on customers. The price range was 300 K-600 K plus hotel room was 100 K. The girls or the place nowhere close to Classic or KI bars, but if you are stuck there and want to bang, and have no option, they are doable. Afterward, I spent a couple of hours at Braga Citywalk, had lunch at a corner bakery, took some photos, and caught the Whoosh train back to Jakarta. A political rally was happening in Bandung that day, so had to deal with road closures, traffic, and delays with Grab rides. That night I went to Mari Enjoy bar and took two girls at 300 K each. It's a hole in the wall bar with about 20 girls, 3-4 pretty ones. It has the neighborhood friendly vibe, I even enjoyed Karaoke with one girl before taking her upstairs. Both girls were GFF, DFK, gave me full attention for the entire house. I wanted to try another girl who was sitting in the corner with less interaction, but she was on her period, ended up talking about life for an hour on Google translate. The bar manager gave her number to reach out anytime and offered to send girls to my hotel for the night for 1 M.
Day 4 – I had a massage next door to Sparks Life hotel at Rasa Refleksi. It's completely a professional massage setup, offered in a hotel room, but on a massage table. It was 90 min for 250 K with no option to choose the therapist, I was assigned a mature woman. Other than some little teasing, no extra offered, but she didn't mind my groping of her ass either. I gave her 100 k tip. That evening, I hit Classic again and spent time with three different girls from different sections, the first two were young, new, submissive, and the last one was older thicker girl for a change.
Day 5 – On my last day, with an afternoon flight to Kuala Lumpur ahead, I decided to try Mustika massage that morning. It ended up being a real disappointment, compared to my previous experience during my last trip, where the therapist was amazing. This time, the girl was below average, lacked skill, and low interest for me to engage. Within the first 15 minutes, she asked if I wanted HJ, I categorically said no. I wanted my 90 min massage end sooner so I can leave, paid 150 K for the massage, and 50 k for the tip.
Overall, I had such a great time in Jakarta that I decided to cancel my Bali trip on the way back to spend more time here next week. I heard Bali offers a wonderful retreat, based on the reports and talking to others, it just doesn't have the same draw to meet girls, and pricier, fewer options, and quality isn't as high. I've seen enough to know Jakarta is the better choice, saving time, money, and effort by sticking around here.

Posts: 25I used the ATMs, it feels a little silly needing to do multiple transactions because the max you can withdraw is 100-200 USD and the bills are small denomination, so you end up walking around with a brick of bills. I guess that's the downside to keeping things off the credit card statement.

Posts: 2125If you use Schwab or Fidelity there aren't any conversion fees and there aren't any ATM fees either and fees charged by the ATM get reimbursed.

Posts: 832I don't need to prove anything to anyone. But Indonesian food is good and there are great Indonesian restaurants in Singapore for example Its not as well known as Thai food, but its still pretty good. My helper at home is Indonesian and she cooks amazing dishes. But also Jakarta has good Japanese food (Sushi, Omakase, Japanese BBQ etc), some high end Chinese food (example Chin Chin), decent Italian and other restaurants as well, all at a fraction of the price of the west or Singapore. I've also found good Vietnamese and Thai food. Jakarta is a major city and has more things than just hooker bars you know.

Posts: 258Indonesian food is great, some of the best in the region. And there are Indonesian restaurants in other countries, seen them, been in them, but then you can also get some of the main dishes out of Malaysian restaurants, they share a lot of similar dishes. Nasi lemak, rendang, laksa, roti to name a few staples. But yeah, covering tracks in Jakarta is hard, hence it is better for people being there with a business excuse. I have never done any sightseeing in Jakarta, the only city that I have ever been to on a regular basis and seen SFA of it, apart from bars, night clubs and restaurants.

Posts: 166That's partly why some bros including me use tinder / bumble as well as well as going for P4 P. I'm sure if you go on there you will find some takers if you pay well they will take you around. I just date them without paying and weed out the ones that are freelancers but you get loads of early 20's local women who are into older guys like late 30's / early 40's even.

In the past year I've probably had about 30 omakase meals and they're ranging US $100-500+ for the meal, I can categorically state that Indonesian food is really good. The Indonesian restaurants in other countries generally don't do so well because they dumb-down the spices for overseas palates. You can just google Mark Wiens on what he says about Indonesian / Jakartan food.

1st off all thanks to all the members here, you know who you are. For newbies like me:
1) Get evisa and save QR.
2) fill in customs upto 3 days prior to arrival (indo has a 1 litre alcohol policy I bought 2 liters in and no one checked BTW).
3) health declaration qr. Airlines sent me this but no one asked.
4) download grab and assign a indo rupiyah card.
Smooth sailing through airport. Cash machines in airport. Max withdrawal was 1 mil but they kept the card in and ask any other services so I kept withdrawing to 3 mil.
Went to the original sim card provider at the end but some pretty girls at the counter of the other 3rd parties. I took 2 of the numbers. Yolo. Also while waiting for grab there was clearly a hot chick returning from somewhere (sb?) so said Hi you want to link and took her number as well.
Grab to Movenpick. Super hotel new with humble staff and excellent facilities. Said I'll have guests up and they just let them come to reception, take ID, ring me and send them up. I vpn indo and booked via hotel website and paid in rupiyah so slighly cheaper.
Dave at EMP said pool closes at 2300. My 1st choice SB bailed but due to airline wifi no biggie. Currently showered and waiting for another insta SB to come via grab for my first LT in Jak. More to follow.
Happy hunting.

Posts: 2125Also I forgot to mention the Ihaw Ihaw barbecued meats on sticks that they do every night at 5 pm that has the whole street smelling delicious, people literally line up and line their meat up and wait for hours for their ihawihaw.

For people who don't know what I'm talking about just look at these pics here.

Posts: 2125But Philippine food is bomb. Every day I've been eating beef tapas with canin and those bomb ass little spring rolls with the vinegar are amazing also that brown soup (not sure what it's called) that they serve at the same food cart is heavenly.

There's also a spot I found that gives you a big piece of fried chicharron (liemposilog) with scrambled eggs and rice and free soup and water for 100 pesos. I've been eating there like every cpl days. And the Philippine fried chicken is better than any fried chicken I found in Thailand. Jollibee in fact is a Philippino chicken chain that is international and found in the US. So to say Indonesian food isn't much better than Philippino food doesn't make any sense, Philippine food is on par with Chinese food.
