Like what happened in the DR forums, a fun, sometime outrageous, but always enthusiastic fan base, declined in direct proportion to the rising level of toxicity, flame wars, and personal attacks. It's just not worth a normal, average monger's time to have a positive report attacked, sliced, diced and even misquoted.

It's nothing new, just a phenomena which sees a former respectful exchange of opinions in a forum turned into a pissing match, with personal insults, by a few self important posters for "control of the board".

Today, he posts that he is "here" in the DR, so if that is not just a typo, your gain, maybe our loss! LOL.

A couple of weeks ago, I gave him 6 months before he crashes and burns in Thailand and runs out of MF's to attack! I may have been a little too generous, but we'll have to wait and see! Peace to mongers everywhere, whatever you choices!

I see you are seeking out an audience outside of your sexpat fans after learning that your Court Jester had posted in the Thailand Threads.

If you wish to blame me for the loss of popularity of Sosua as a posting thread on ISG. Perhaps it is because the main posters are not posting anymore. Because they have other interests or are living in other places. One example of this is your leader you named in post #188 of this thread. Search for his handle. Nothing comes up. I've lived in the Dominican Republic for longer than either you or your leader did / have.

You know he turned on me after the Sosua Trip because I didn't agree with his assessment of it. I was good in Santo Domingo este. The girls were more attractive where I lived, they treated me better, there was much more to do and it was less expensive. My apartment had a better view than any hotel in Sosua. I had a direct sea view out of multiple windows in my apartment. Ask your leader. Was up in there. I could not find a real reason to justify the drive for something I could get anywhere in the Dominican Republic on any given day. Besides Boca Chica (Sosua Lite) was right down the street from me (45 minutes) Of course, I had my own transportation and I spoke Spanish. So that was a game changer for me.

The stuff I learned about hoes in Sosua, I put to good use in a local TO strip club. Used to flatter the girls and buy them a drinks. Of the posts that I did write covering locations all over the Dominican Republic (you know the ones that you have to look up on Google Maps because you have never been there and don't even know they exist), please point one one that was factually inaccurate.

I agree with Mr. Forest, google translate is your friend. That's one of the tools I used with the non pros on my first trip to Santo Domingo. I actually had two real dates with non-pros who had jobs. They even took me to an event with friends where they laughed at me about not being able to speak Spanish. Most people don't understand that the last thing that comes with learning a language is the ability to speak it. I often understood every word they were saying when they were talking about me.

The Commander is correct. Yet google translate works fine for me. I have spent several days with the same non-English speaking beautiful big titted hot body chica and we get along just fine.
