I totally confirm what you say. In Plaza Botero all the girls fuck bareback! Girls ask 50 mil for fuck but if you want to fuck her bareback you have to pay 50 mil more + 10 mil for the room.

Well the way she explained it to me was that in Lleras it was hit and miss whether or not she would get a customer. I think only one time I used a condom with her and that was way back in 2018 in Bogota in Santa Fe and I gave her 30 mil plus 6 k for the room so it was a total of 36 mil COP with a condom in a short time room in Santa Fe. The nice thing about Bogota is they don't have these parallel street venues with different pricing all the street venues in Bogota are geared toward the locals and all roughly the same price. Your point is fine but you're wrong that it's a scam. A price scam is when you are getting lied to about the value of something. In this case, you are not being scammed because the airport is not telling you that their water is better or worth more than a grocery's water. They aren't telling you that there is no water available outside of the airport or anything like that. They are simply charging more because they have a captive audience / the first point of purchasing for people coming off a flight.

Labeling filtered tap water as pure Fiji spring water is a scam while selling Fiji spring water at twice the price of filtered tap water is not a scam (it might be a scam for a company to produce that water and claim it's better though). It's the same reason buying a $10 hotdog at a baseball game isn't considered a scam, just a rip-off. You're still getting something to eat and it's what you expect, it's just marked up due to audience capture which is annoying.

This is the upside to capitalism; it's a free market. While capitalism does have some disadvantages, it's a gold mine for patient and intelligent people.

It seems like the real controversy is that by deliberately offering sex workers a higher price, you are then setting a new standard for other customers. Which might be true. But this is another aspect of capitalism; where opportunistic individuals (the girls) utilize shifts in the market. I think what is more likely true is that the girls are changing their sales pitch. There weren't many gringos wandering around Medellin, or quite frankly anywhere in Colombia during the 90's, because it was a bloodbath following the death of Escobar, and foreigners were getting kidnapped left and right. Then after 2010 Americans started popping their heads up all over the place. And what do the girls see? The these guys wandering around with the passports baring the red, white, and blue flag are loaded with cash. "Hell, if they have that much money, we can just ask them for more. " Word starts getting passed around on the street, and girls start noticing all these large, pale skinned guys speaking English everywhere. Now there's a shift, and the 18 year old girls who are just getting started learn the tricks of the trade from their 30 year old sisters who have been in business for awhile. "Try to draw the attention of the white guys, they have much more money than Colombians. ".

I'm not convinced that "reckless" gringos who don't follow The Code / Patron's Handbook are 100% responsible for P2 P prices going up. These girls have at least a rudimentary understanding of supply and demand. And even if they are poorly educated, some of them may have a higher IQ when you look at raw intelligence, and simply choose this lifestyle due to lack of legit economic opportunities. So, the girls can always start asking for a higher rate. But in turn, the guys always have the option to say "No thanks", walk away, and approach the competing girl down the street, or go back to their hotel. If large percentage of men consistently decide to reject the higher prices over a long period of time, business will dry up very quickly, and they will lower their rates. I don't see this happening. I don't think most Americans are disciplined enough to pack their bags, hop on a plane for a few hours, arrive in Colombia, then leave "empty handed" having not gotten laid. What, only to spend several hundred dollars on a flight and lodging a couple of months later hoping you might get a better result? No, it would take a coordinated movement amongst a very large group of men, and I don't think that's likely to happen.

We think differently and that's fine because that's what being human is about but I never allow myself to think I have been scammed whether it is for $1 or $1000. You do not think that you are being scammed at the airport, I do, and never ever buy anything there.

My wingman and I frequent a steakhouse near Provenza. We always order a bottle of wine which is about 30 to 40 USD. This wine is from Argentina and it costs around 10 USD more or less in almost all grocery stores in Medellin. The same wine can be found occasionally on the bottom shelf of some grocery stores in Argentina and it costs less than 2. 5 USD which is literally the cheapest wine.

The corkage is about 80 or 90 mil when we were initially told it was 60. The better steakhouse away from Provenza charges only 50 or 60 mil for corkage. You can get better wine in much better restaurant in Argentina or Brazil for that money.

I am a Centro Rat and only been to Parque Lleras twice and left early like 10:30 pm. I saw a few Centro girls both times. Just MY GUESTIMATE of the percentage of the Centro girls would be less than 10%.

It has more to do with their rent (overhead in general) being more than them having a captive audience. All the gasoline comes from the same depot in town, but the price you pay is going to depend on which corner you buy it on. Station A may pay much more in rent or property tax than Station be. Therefore Station A will need to sell stuff at a higher price than Station be.

Just like in Amsterdam when I asked a ho in the box why it was so expensive to fuck. She explained to me that she has to pay 250 euro per day just to rent the damn box. So she was not even breaking even until she had gotten 3 customers.

Makes sense. It also makes sense that she would not snag anyone in LLeras. Makes no sense that a chica who can readily get clients in LLeras would work Centro.

The key to your statement is "readily get clients" in Lleras. That is the problem for them. Even very good looking chicas can go days without a customer in Lleras, but perhaps get a number at a lower price in another place, for example Centro. Might make sense to do daytime in Centro, get some business, and then go to Lleras later for the big bucks on a hit and miss basis.
