I just heard back from the Mansion and they cancelled my reservation. It is officially closing November 28. I have a friend there now & he must vacate by that date. All I have is the great memories there.

I received an email today informing me my booking for Nov. 25 to Dec. 10 at Hotel M can not be honored as the house has been sold and must be vacated. It also said that the business will be moving to M2 but not until Jan. 1.

I hope they do not move those raggedy-assed towels to M2 also. That Mansion has really been run into the ground long ago. Neglected and milking us gringos for all they can get and putting nothing back into repairs or maintenance. I had to wait 2 hours for someone to fix the safe in my room. Nobody seems to care much there. Bye.

I have done Thailand solo many times, but relied on the networking with other guests at Hotel M for my Colombian adventures.

Have you thought about Hotel Taormina in Costa Rica? Similar shoot fish in a barrel set up, similar networking with other guests, hella lot closer than Pattaya. Just a suggestion.

Here is a picture of a 19 year old girl I wanted to meet with again on November 5 when I had returned to the Philippines. Meet her 2 months earlier and wanted her again but she broke her foot and pretty sure her ankle the way they her leg braced from a motorcycle accident.

With your statement it's evident that you do not get out or get around. You need to get out of Gringo Land because it's influencing your overall perception of what the reality is in Colombia. The Passport Bros and Gringos have little to NO AFFECT on the country as a whole. If you think that it's all about Medellin, Cartagena, Cali, Bogota, Barranquilla then your mistaken. Get out and see Colombia and not be sheep that follows the crowd and the places that Gringos / Tourist go.

I would love to do that, but it's very difficult to determine what areas are safe and desirable.

The place that I stayed saved me from someone with a fake ID. She said she had a physical Cedula but when she arrived she only had an electronic copy. When the front desk looked at it closely the ID number on the bottom it said 0123456789.

I know a shop in Centro where I can buy one for COP 40 k. If it had that number on the bottom, I would ask for my money back. If the police will not support you in the case of a fake ID, then I think its a waste of time to bother to check an ID. There are many other options to prevent worry.

Me last night riding as a passenger on a moto thru Jakarta, Indonesia not wearing a helmet, holding onto the seat handle with just my left hand, while holding my phone in my right hand to record the video I took these screenshots from, and I didn't get injured or killed in any way.

Picked up really cute Venezvelan. Initially she Quoted me 450 COP.

It was close to 4 am, I said 100 COP she made a funny face then I offered 150 COP.
