Arrived back in Chiang Mai 10 days ago for my 12th yoga-focused winter. Will be here about two months after I spent two days in Bangkok and a very good time at Sakura Akasuri and Madame Claude.

If I did not have my favorites, I would be a little disappointed in what I see here. For the most part, the ladies I see at the massage shops on Loi Kroh, Kamphaengdin, and Sridonchai are not as pretty as in past years, and it seems many are heavier, not grossly fat or anything, just not that thin sexy physique. I like ladies of all kinds, but the what's not to like about a sexy thin Thai lady?

I'm older, do not drink alcohol, and the bar scene does not appeal to me at all. So I know nothing about the bar scene and the bar girls in Chiang Mai. I prefer the massage parlours and not always knowing what the ending will be. The fun can be in the lead-up, the teasing, the interaction, the chemistry.

What I have said in the past still seems to apply. Most of the shops on Sridonchai and Loi Kroh are all about teasing and handjobs. Sometimes a BJ or FS can be had there, but it is more the exception than the rule. I have had FS many times in shops on both Loi Kroh and Sridonchai, but it is not the "rule. " For consistent FS, Kamphaengdin is the place. Seems to be the ladies at the shops on Kamphaengdin all provide FS. This may change over time. I probably had the best Peking Duck I've ever had in my life at a Michelin Restaurant for a grand total of $45 dollars with tip and drinks in Chiang Mai.

The sex scene is a different story. The best thing going is the beer bars in The Muai Thai Boxing Stadium. Plenty of fun and flirting but in all honesty in 3 days and 2 nights. I didn't take one girl home. My buddy and I came to find out the strip clubs have all been closed. We ran into a tout along the strip who tried to entice us into going to a brothel in a hotel. We declined. A tuk tuk driver took us to a Karaoke bar claiming we could get laid. Once inside it took a nano second to realize we were about to be ripped off and politely departed.

The saving grace were the many massage parlors that extend out from Duangtawan hotel on Loi Kroh. We stopped a couple of days for massages. Very cute girls.
