Yes, I have read the many reports going back and forth. I used to think better than PH because of the potential scams in PH and didn't have that experience in BKK but this time seemed more bad than good.

My trip dates are set and I've booked air and hotels. Now I just need to find a door-to-door car service from my Bangkok Hotel to my Pattaya Hotel. And presumably, my Pattaya Hotel to the BKK airport 12 days later. I can see some car service websites through Google, but they seem expensive (3000 THB+) versus what I think a Grab or Taxi might cost at around 1500-2000 THB. Not really interested in super cheap methods like the bus lines. I don't mind paying for the private ride luxury, assuming the costs are not more than $50 (1800 THB) each way.

Arrived Monday afternoon in Bangkok enroute to my 12th yoga-focused winter in Chiang Mai. Will be in BKK only two nights.
