While I was waiting at the bus terminal at one point I did get a lady Grab driver accept my trip but within seconds she cancelled it. On the day of departure and ride back to the bus terminal, I did book a Grab car and he didn't have a problem dropping me off right at the platform of the terminal.

My girl drives Bolt and does tours for foreigners. She said they can pick people up outside. If they go inside to pick up the taxi mafia will get angry. Even if there is a taxi outside at the curb they can not pick up near that taxi. She said there are signs at the bus station saying Bolt and Grab can not go inside to pick people up. Lumpini Condos in Naklua and Jomtien are the same way because they have taxi stands.

She said one day she was picking a friend up from the bus station and a taxi guy approached her angry asking what she was doing inside. She said picking up my friend. He wanted her to open her phone to show him she was not using the app. She told him he was crazy. They have their Line and Facebook groups talking about all the shit.

I have been picked up by Bolt 100's of times in the Jomtien bus station parking lot, while leaving FoodMart. Sometimes one of the yellow taxis will work for Bolt.

Thanks to all who took the time answer my many questions this year as this is my first visit to Pattaya and as promised, I'm doing my part with this report. . . . Overall I had a great time in Pattaya but four nights is much too little. I would suggest at least a full week to check out all venues I would have liked to check out. So next stop is Bangkok which I'll write a separate report on. Hope this report is useful.

After landing at Bangkok airport I had two options to get to Pattaya. Either take a private taxi for 1,300 be or a bus for 190 be which is what I took. It was a nice comfortable coach bus which took me to North Pattaya bus station in about two hours. I tried to get a Grab from there but it must have been rush hour so I wasn't able to but a baht bus was moonlighting as a transfer for 50 be to central Pattaya quite close to where I was staying at The Base condos..

There is a excellent road side stand (actually posted up in the FoodMart parking lot) that I go to often in the morning to get some grilled port on a stick and sticky rice. I get 10 sticks of grilled port and 2 servings of sticky rice for 60 THB.

In that same complex there is the Bus Station that rolls to BKK. I have been going to my road side stand for as long as it has been opened. I have witnessed ride share service cars dropping off and picking up people all the time. They do not go into the parking lot were the taxis are located. The taxi mafia does not control the streets.

I think Bolt is better than Grab in Pattaya.

First thanks to all who took the time answer my many questions this year as this is my first visit to Pattaya and as promised, I'm doing my part with this report. After landing at Bangkok airport I had two options to get to Pattaya. Either take a private taxi for 1,300 be or a bus for 190 be which is what I took. It was a nice comfortable coach bus which took me to North Pattaya bus station in about two hours. I tried to get a Grab from there but it must have been rush hour so I wasn't able to but a baht bus was moonlighting as a transfer for 50 be to central Pattaya quite close to where I was staying at The Base condos. The Base which I booked through Airbnb was great as it was modern, great uniformed security out front, pool / gym and located within easy walking distance to many places.

For food, my favourite place was minutes away at Tree Town food court where I ate most of the time with excellent Thai cuisine for 150-200 be per meal. Although there were lots of western cuisine and other ethnic restaurants like Indian, middle eastern and other Asian around, I tend to eat mostly local fare wherever I go. I didn't fly across to the other side of the world to eat at McDonalds. Other services like pharmacies and currency exchanges were plentiful.

One thing about Pattaya and Thailand in general is that it is very busy as I'm here at the beginning of high season. Not only did I see many fellow mongers, there were lots of tour groups, seniors and even families travelling. I'm not sure why they would go to Pattaya but the mix of tourists plus locals filled the streets each night. The town's infrastructure meanwhile is not great for pedestrians as there really is a lack of sidewalks so walking around is always within inches of traffic which in itself is crazy. This I was already expecting after my trips to Vietnam and Cambodia just before arriving to Thailand (I already posted reports on them). It is also damn hot during the daytime so I mainly went out during mornings and evenings choosing to stay indoors at my condo during afternoons.

Before we get to mongering, I'll mention that I took in a few touristy attractions that were excellent and totally worthwhile during the mornings. I went to Sanctuary Of Truth which is an incredible wooden temple like structure by the sea and also visited Pattaya Elephant Sanctuary which gave me unforgettable moments with their elephants. Both are highly recommended.

Now to the mongering. Overall I was a bit overwhelmed by the almost unlimited choices here. Seems like each street has numerous bars and massage shops along with go go clubs and gents clubs at many streets. Then each neighborhood has multiple such streets. Then there are multiple neighborhoods like LK Metro, Soi 6 area, Beach road and Walking Street. I'll give an overview of what I saw.

After all those online videos I had to go to Soi 6 and as expected there were lots of girls on the street. Many were aggressive and tried to pull me inside their bars. Big problem was that quite often it's not the ones that ambush me are the ones that I want to session with. But there was one who was acceptable in looks so I gave in and went along to buy her a drink but confirmed that she was available for short time upstairs. I forgot the name of her bar but I did end up sessioning with her but don't know if I overpaid. I was expecting 1500 be plus room charge of 500. My drink which was only juice and her lady drink came out to be just under 300 be I think. The room upstairs was crap, sort of like a cheap Latin American brothel room and shower was outside it in a utility room. She wanted 2000 be which I paid since this was my first session in Pattaya and she let me take a photo of us together.

I did do another session on Soi 6 two nights later and it was a similar experience with same pricing with another girl at another small bar and except this time at least the shower was inside the bar's only two rooms they had upstairs. So even though these were much better prices than what would get in Canada, I did pay a bit more than I thought I would on Soi 6. Although the two girls I had were nice and I got full GFE with both, I considered the whole Soi 6 scene to be too loud with high volume music blasting from each bar. This made the upstairs rooms loud too and any conversations with girls downstairs were not that easy as volumes were like at nightclub levels. Still a visit to Soi 6 is a must here but I would not limit my time here on future trips.

After Soi 6 I walked along Beach road to check out the freelancers and most were not attractive to me. There were a few gems especially closer towards Walking Street but I didn't talk to anybody there on this trip since I was limited to just four nights and knew other options were priority. Walking street was also a must see but I was not going to pull from there knowing that prices would be high here. There were many nice looking girls in front of go go clubs but in all honesty I think there were even more hot ladies at Japan Town in Ho Chi Minh City. Although there was plenty of eye candy to see here on Walking Street, it was jammed full of people. Not only mongers but clearly tons of tourists just checking the scene out. The loudness and crowds of this area made it just a one time walk through for me.

Many areas like Tree Town, Soi Bukao and Las Vegas had lots of beer bars. Many were full what looked to me as older expats while others were almost empty. These venues were staffed with older unattractive women in my view. I don't have any issues with hot milfs but most of these ladies were not worth looking at for me.

The other main option I wanted to check out after reading many reports and watching videos on YouTube was the gents club scene. I did check out some big names that were suggested including Maggie May's, Buzzing and Club Fate. At all of these gents clubs I pretty well walked in and right out again as I thought the women were similar to those at beer bars. The one exception was Heaven Above that had a nice mix of girls. Gents Clubs are suppose to be more laid back than Soi 6 bars but Heaven Above was not laid back. It is a hybrid gents club and go go bar playing music but not at high levels like Soi 6. Girls took turns dancing on tables so we could scope them out. This turned out well for me as I spotted a beautiful girl I liked and invited her for a drink. We did session upstairs not once but two different nights since I liked her as well as the rooms they had which were almost like hotel rooms and much less noisy. My girl was not a clock watcher and was total GFE.

Only thing to warn about Heaven Above is that prices were slightly higher than average gents clubs. My juice and her lady drink came out to be about 300 while room rate was 550 be. She wanted 2500 but accepted 2000 be. This is a venue I would return to again.

One thing I also wanted to do on this trip was a soapy. I had one many years ago in Bangkok before Pattaya became a monger destination. I heard that soapies in Pattaya were vastly inferior to Bangkok but I was walking distance to Honey 1 and PP Body Massage. Both had four different rate levels of girls with the first two at 2200 and 2700. I walked into both places and at these two lower price levels, all the girls were thicker than I would like. The odd slim lady which I would have accepted were at the higher price rates I was not willing to pay for. So walked out of both venues pretty fast.

For times when places were too far to walk, I took the cheap baht bus as well as Grab motorbikes. Grab is very efficient and cheap but I was hanging on for dear life each time they go over bumps and speed up. Drivers in general both guys and girls drive like maniacs. Be aware that safety standards are quite different from the west. We see entire families on single bikes some without wearing helmets zipping in and out of traffic. This is Asia I suppose.

Overall I had a great time in Pattaya but four nights is much too little. I would suggest at least a full week to check out all venues I would have liked to check out. So next stop is Bangkok which I'll write a separate report on. Hope this report is useful.

These clubs continually discriminate against Indians. I have witnessed first hand the horrible behavior of the door guys at all these clubs. For what's its worth, most of the NightAss bars on Soi 6 are the same. They will let you in, but the girls won't pay you much attention. How do I know? I have also witnessed it first hand. One time an Indian guy was sitting at the table next to me in Passion. They gave him his first drink and ignored him. I witnessed him motioning for girls to come over and even asked the server to bring a girl over. The server tried, I will give her credit, but the girls just shook their heads "no". The momasons and manager did nothing to help either.

Don't you think these girls have valid reasons to avoid servicing these guys? If there are tens of these guys coming over the girls and offering 100 bahts to bang them while the going rate is between 1500 and 2000 you don't think the girls would want to avoid them at all cost? That's even before talking about looks, odor and behaviour.

The fact that they finally came over and serviced him once they realized the guy is decent plus the fact that the management let them enter the place without objection is proof there is no systematic discrimination in these bars.

When a girl in When Angels Play bar brought my order and went straight back to seat with her friends instead of servicing me, I didn't call that discrimination. These girls have their preferences and I'm glad she's been that honest and candid, she could have attempted to dry me off by asking drinks after drinks and telling me bullshit while secretly thinking that I'm disgusting.

After 30 minutes, he had 3 girls grinding him and sitting on his face and he rang the bell 4 times. Off he went upstairs for a threesome. One of the most epic nights on Soi 6. We still keep in touch..

I'll be interested to see how this pans out. I'll be in Thailand in January and I am of Indian origin but born and raised in the west and happen to be light skinned as my parents were from North India. North Indians have features more akin to south Europeans and Middle East.

In fact over the years people have thought I'm anything from Spanish to Egyptian.

It will be interesting to see how I am treated. Maybe I should get a t shirt that says "I'm a bit tanned but not Indian".

Obviously I'm joking, I'm fiercely proud of my ancestry.

Does not surprise me. They do the same with Farang dam. I have experienced it on Soi 6. The favorite bar that my boys like treats me the same way. But I don't trip. Cause I don't need pussy. I could give a fuck if a particular establishment doesn't want the Big Black Dick stretching out that Thai pussy where the Farangs, Koreans, Japanese and Chinese cannot feel anything if the follow up behind it. LOL! There are plenty of establishments that will accept my business and the girls too. On Soi 6 and beyond.

But I have spent my life being discriminated against. So when it happens here I don't trip. But I will say I receive more discrimination from Farangs from my country of origin than I do from Thai people. Thai girls I deal with do not give a damn. But some of the stories my girls have told me about Farangs and their attitudes. SMH!

Tom maintain a list, I would suggest you start a user blog. Feel free to add these to the list. This is a great idea as long as people read it. I notice some guys do not even look there. Its easy. In the Thailand forum, just scroll down and you will see a bottom section. then history the start a thread back at the top and input your title. After you save the thread, start posting then lists. You will also be the admin of that section too. You can delete all racist posts in a flash or trouble makers.

My trip dates are set and I've booked air and hotels. Now I just need to find a door-to-door car service from my Bangkok Hotel to my Pattaya Hotel. And presumably, my Pattaya Hotel to the BKK airport 12 days later. I can see some car service websites through Google, but they seem expensive (3000 THB+) versus what I think a Grab or Taxi might cost at around 1500-2000 THB. Not really interested in super cheap methods like the bus lines. I don't mind paying for the private ride luxury, assuming the costs are not more than $50 (1800 THB) each way.

Any suggestions or referrals will be much appreciated.
